Orlando Magic History
Joining the NBA in the 1989 expansion era, the Magic struggled for three years until picking center Shaquille O'Neal first in the 1992 draft. The Magic finished at .500 in the 1992–93 season, barely missing the playoffs. Then, with only a slim chance in the 1993 draft lottery, the team won the rights to pick No. 1 again. They used their selection, Chris Webber, in a trade to obtain guard Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway and future picks.
O’Neal and Hardaway led the Magic to 50 wins in the 1993–94 season and then 57 victories, as well as a trip to the NBA Finals, the following year. In the 1995–96 campaign, the Magic won a franchise-record 60 games in what would be O'Neal's last season in Orlando. They made it to the Eastern Conference finals against the Chicago Bulls.
Over the next 10 years, the Magic made the playoffs five times under the leadership of coach Doc Rivers and Hall of Fame guard Tracy McGrady, who earned two scoring titles and the 2001 Most Improved Player award during his tenure. The 2006–07 season saw Orlando start a run of six consecutive postseason appearances, as star center Dwight Howard blossomed and the Magic surrounded him with young talent and savvy veterans.
The Magic reached the second round of the playoffs in 2008 behind Howard and forwards Hidayet "Hedo" Türkoğlu and Rashard Lewis. The following season, with trade acquisition Rafer Alston filling in for injured point guard Jameer Nelson and sharpshooter J.J. Redick taking on a more prominent role, the team won 59 games and defeated the Philadelphia 76ers, the Boston Celtics and the LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers in the playoffs. It earned the Magic a second trip to the NBA Finals, where they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Following Howard’s trade to the Lakers in 2012, the Magic began a decade-long rebuilding process while developing notable talents like Victor Oladipo, Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vučević. The Magic’s luck seemed to improve after reaching playoff contention once again in 2019 and 2020, and landing top draft picks such as Mo Bamba, Jalen Suggs, Franz Wagner, and 2023 Rookie of the Year Paolo Banchero.

Love watching & cheering my favorite team!!! Very exciting!!!
Love watching the Magic. Great venue, well organised and ran. Easy access and exit with no craziness. Watch as many games a season as we can
Decided to pop up from Davenport by Uber for the 3rd game of my 2 week visit. It was such a fantastic night. Everything about it was such a buzz. I can not wait to come back and take in a few games. If I'm honest, the basketball was the highlight of my vacation.
This was a great game the seat where perfect, I really enjoy the experience
The workers and fans were very nice. The in-arena entertainment was okay. We sat in the upper level and it is lower than some of the arenas that I've been to, which is nice. The arena is celebrating its 35th year and it looks good still. The food served in the arena is pretty good. I tried Gringo's Tacos and it is good for arena food.
Everything about this experience was awesome. Tickets...great price; seats...great; hubby's face the entire game....priceless. This was a gift for him. Wish we could have seen Green play more than 3 mins (self-inflicted wounds...smh). Great game regardless! Go GSW!
It was an amazing experience!! There was definitely some magic in the arena! Loved it, would definitely love to experience this again!
Good game. Seats as expected for the tickets. Good venue but very pricey. Went to the Brew Bar beforehand which was good for drink and food. The directions to the pre booked car park were very poor and not clear.
Best ever , My son was so excited and happy with the surprise would have been better if he would have been given the chance to meet his 2nd hero Curry , I was not able to make it happen I tried !!!!
Parking went well, great venue. Concession PRICES are EXTREMELY HIGH!
Apparenty the 360 view of my seat did not show i had a BIG GLASS STAIR IN FRONT OF ME THAT COVER THE ENTIRE COURT,it was horrible for me to watch the game,i wish i can get my money back
Arriving from Portugal with my family I was very pleased by how smoothly the whole thing went. Easy to access to KIA Center , Easy to discover how to reach the seats ( by the way lots of help from assistants) Easy to get food and out of the bulding
This was my first nba game and it was such a great experience! Go Golden State Warriors!
Game was great. However, the seats we bought were right at the top of the stairs. We spent the whole time watching people walk up and down the stairs. There was no indication at the time of seat selection that this was the view.
A great experience! I have booked great seats and I watched the game perfectly. The arrangements from Ticketmaster were good, even when I came all the way long from Chile. In Chile we don´t have any chance to get through the Ticketmaster app but once I got to US then it was a little bit easier.
Saw Orlando magic play. Had a meal at Jernigans restaurant while watching the game. Food is buffet style beef pork chicken salads and pasta dishes. Great service throughout. Arena also offers lots of casual food choices on each level. Magic game was great brilliant atmosphere. Arena is located right beside the Interstate 4 with lots of parking available.
My wife and I really enjoyed the magic game this was her first time attending. We plan on going again soon.
Accessible friendly, great staff, fun halftime and activities during timeouts, passionate fans, fun environment, and exciting teams!
Great performance! Our first NBA-Match in US to see our German Worldchampions Franz and Mo Wagner.
Our visit to the Kia Centre to watch the Magic game was spoilt before the game started. Traffic was stationary on the I-4 exit ramp due to lack of control on the main car park entrance. We waited 25 minutes before finally gaining access which was very frustrating. I am sure the Kia Centre management are aware of this issue but a solution is way overdue. The queuing brings out the worst in many drivers particularly ones who insist in trying to gain access to the Geico Garage when they do not have tickets The actual game was excellent as usual but something needs to be done about the entry to the parking garage.
