About

The pink cupcake craze that is sweeping the nation makes its Portland premiere! Based on the popular book, Pinkalicious: The Musical finds its title character craving anything and everything pink—especially cupcakes!
When Pinkalicious eats one too many she turns pink. So pink that even a bath won't wash away the color—which isn't so bad as far as she is concerned. The remedy is a strict diet of green foods, but Pinkalicious can't stop thinking about those cupcakes! With Broadway-style show tunes, dancing cupcakes, and a sparkling story, Pinkalicious: The Musical is a treat worth indulging in.

    Pinkalicious was great!

We had a blast! My great niece loved it! It was so fun to dress her up in pink and to see how much she enjoyed it. I appreciate that the souvenirs were resonably priced so I could buy them for her. Also appreciate the photo opportunity.

This was my granddaughters first 'play'. We loved it and look forward to many, many more of the same. My plan is to become a season ticket holder of the OCT! Thanks for a wonderful experience. Plus the prices on your souvenirs was really the best.

    Pinkalicious was a great treat

    by Raine1229 on 11/4/11Newmark Theatre - Portland

Bottom line, the cast's interaction with the audience, especially the little children, was fun to watch. The story was entertaining and also had a lesson to teach the little ones. Will definitely see this again....it was nice to see all the little girls dress up. It was also fun to dress up my little one, and watch her be so excited. This is definitely a great introduction to the arts.

Pinkalicious was a an OK Musical

by jennrh on 11/1/11Newmark Theatre - Portland

My daughter is three, and loves Pinkalicious! I think for the age that this musical attracts (girls 3-7) it could have been better. Girls this age love Pink, Glitter, Cupcakes, and fun music and I just feel like they could have done better. Her name is Pinkalicious and she wears a yellow outfit in the beginning and end, the brother was cute but the kids lost interest when he was singing. The father in the show was funny but I didn't like how it was hard for him to show Pinkalicious affection. Overall I'm glad i didn't spring for the more expensive seats, but my daughter had a good time otherwise. If you're looking for a really pink, girly, fun show, this wasn't it. There was more pink in the audience with all the adorable little girls in tutu's and fairy wands. But, if you want to teach your kids a lesson on how to eat green veggies and experience a play for the first time, this is it. Again, I didn't think it was horrible, but it did miss the mark, and ALL the empty seats proved that.

The songs were good, although the show seemed a bit short for the cost of admission. I expected a bit more story.

    My grand daughter loved it.

by Roschell on 10/31/11Newmark Theatre - Portland

I took my grand daughter to this play for her 7th birthday. She had a big smile all the way through it. She laughed and interacted with the characters. I would definately recommend this play for a young audience.

    Pinkalicious to pricey

by Vizel on 10/31/11Newmark Theatre - Portland

The actual show was enjoyed by my granddaughters but the price of the show was way too much for the quality and duration of the play. Tickets should have been half of what we paid.

    Pinkalicious was adorable

by GrandmaPeggy on 10/31/11Newmark Theatre - Portland

The little girls loved getting dressed up in their pinkest outfits...even mom & grandma wore pink! We drove 5 hrs one-way for the one hour show, then turned around and drove home 5 hours; we were tired of driving, but will remember our fun, pink, family outing!

    pinkalicious was really fun

    by Annie304 on 10/25/11Newmark Theatre - Portland

This kids musical was a great way to introduce children to the theater. The language was easy for kids to understand. The length of the show was perfect. My granddaughter and I truly enjoyed the show. The coupon for a Cupcake Jones treat was a nice touch. We went there just after the show for the official Pinkalicious cupcake!

    I loved pinkalicious!

by Deezeemarie on 10/25/11Newmark Theatre - Portland

Was great! Wasn't too long or too short! My daughter is 5 so her attention spam is about an hour! I think it was a bit high priced, but I will go to another play put on by the Oregon children's theater!

Upbeat songs, funny, innuendo for the adults, just the right length at 55 minutes. My 6 year old loved it.

Pinkalicous was super cute and entertaining for the whole family. I have a 5 and 2.5 year old and both sat through the whole show and loved it! Not to mention, it finished in a very kid-friendly 1 hour.

    Sweet but Short

by Anonymous on 10/24/11Newmark Theatre - Portland

Pinkalicious was very fun. My daughter and I enjoyed it very much. But, both of us thought it was kinda short. The theatre is awesome and the view from our seats was excellent. I would however like to remind some of the MOTHERS that kids do learn by example, so being pushy and cutting in front of others is not going to deliver the right message to your child. Show some concideration for others, we're all on this earth together. Great show... Thank you to all the performers and the staff of the theatre.

Cute and fun for all ages

by PattyRickard on 10/24/11Newmark Theatre - Portland

The show was really well put together. The characters were unique and entertaining and the musical numbers and dialogue had a little something even for the adults. My 6 year old daughter was riveted and almost still for an hour - not an easy thing to accomplish. I highly recommend this performance for anyone looking for a quick and entertaining daughter day out of the house.

Perfect for a 7 yr old!

We've been enjoying the spider/fly/worm books for years. The soundtrack was great and the performers were truly expressive of these characters. We laughed, we cried :)
