An epic global stadium tour, a 3-D concert film that grossed close to $70M in ticket sales worldwide, and the November 2013 release of their third studio album, Midnight Memories, the young boys of One Direction have proved that they're more than just a flash in the Brit-pop pan.

One Direction burst onto the scene in 2011 after having formed before the world's eyes on the British singing competition The X-Factor. English lads Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson and Irish chap Niall Horan each signed up for the show as a solo act but were ultimately convinced that they'd be much more successful as a group.

The boys clicked immediately and have been tearing up the charts ever since. 1D made history when their first studio album, Up All Night, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 in the U.S., and their follow up, Take Me Home, topped the charts in over 30 countries. The band is known for their bright and catchy dance-pop sound, their boundless energy on stage, and their clean and preppy fashion style

    he pulled me backstage and told me how insanely hot I was… I was so excited because wow, it’s zayn?!?! he then told me “I saw you reading a book, and was like, wow she’s not like the other girls…” and I just blushed and said “my friend dragged me here… I was supposed to be studying, not partying.. but you guys were so insanely good, but zayn you especially I could feel the heat from your sweat dropping down individually under your shirt..”

    I want to go to a one direction concert before I die but I also like seeing them so happy with their solo careers. So what they need to do is give me a backstage ticket and have one concert in like Seattle or Vegas or something and just give me a ticket or something and then they can go back to their solo careers. But overall I just want them to be happy! 😁😁😁

    this was the best concert i have ever been too. the fans were so energetic and the buys were amazing. i miss them. i’m an ot5, zayn had his reasons to leave the band… i respect him so much. louis, liam, and zayn are fathers. i’m a respectful larrie… not a potato directioner lol… i hope you have an amazing day!!! ily tpwk:)
