What fun! Inspiring!
by Stanleyetta on 6/9/15Oriental Theatre Chicago - ChicagoI loved being a part of the introduction of On Your Feet to the theater community. They did an excellent job of telling the story. The costumes were spot on, the sets simple but very effective, and the special effects and sound system were amazing. The audience was thouroughly entertained although somewhat reserved and remained seated until the curtain call, which I found hard to do. Perhaps the evening patrons were more spontaneous. During "conga" everyone went wild but remained seated. How fun it would have been if the audience would have stood, danced and sung along like Mamma Mia and Jersey Boys. Suggest they plant a couple of fans in the audience to start the movement so the rest of the audience will join in. This music needs to be seen, heard, AND felt.
