I was so disappointed by the performances! This year the tickets were $78, they have been $60 for the past 3 years. I expected with this being the 50th anniversary for Jamaica and Trinidad the concert cost more and would have remarkable performances...I feel so cheated..Angie Martinez BBQ was better than this show this year! This was my last time buying tickets for this event. I am surprised by Hot 97

Not worth the money. This show should have been much longer. I've been to free events that lasted longer and had a better time. The performances were worth entertaining a appreciated .

Good show, was on my feet the whole time. Was very happy to see elephant man but was disappointed when bennie man was a no show. No explaination or nothing. And weed was no issue, it was a smoke fest in the house!!!! Loved it ;)

great show but what happened to beenie man, he was the head liner. What i liked was the flow of the show, it moved nice. also most of the performers were about the music and inclusion, i note even Movado said nice things about vybes in jail but then came the guy who should not have been there. Elephant man with a me run dis attitute, no you are done you had your time and it is over, please don't bring him and his negative vibes back. besides him performing in place of beenie show turn up that means good.

On da reggae tip tun up!!!

by IndiB on 9/2/12Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New York

The event was punctual and organized! And what a time it was! The artists tore it down and the vibes in the crowd was just cool! Everyone was there to have a good time and celebrate our carribean culture and music...and that we did to the fullest! Beenie man was a no show and the ending was rather abrupt but overall it was a good night! I would def go again!

    Not worth the money

by lazybonesz on 9/2/12Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New York

People who were supposed to show up didn't, hits weren't played for no longer than 3 seconds, kinda like the radio, alot less music a whole lot of promotions. The whole experience was worth $20.

    Slightly disappointed

by NurseFML on 9/2/12Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New York

I arrived a bit late but I felt like the how ended way too early. The show ened with Elephant man who had no significantly new songs out right now. They rushed Movado off the stage, he could have had a bigger finale effect than Ele....sorry.

The worst show in the past five years

by Anonymous on 9/2/12Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New York

this by far was the worst show they did in the last five years.Im not to sure if I want to go back again next year now. Hot 97 shows are falling off summer Jams has also not been as good as it use to be.

    Good Show

by QueensQueen on 10/12/11Hammerstein Ballroom - New York

Good is really not a good adjective for this show. It was a total party atmosphere -- completely. A ton of people set on having a good time, good priced drinks, clean restrooms, and decent sound. Yes, some acts didn't perform, but some unexpected acts did -- Damian Marley... loved it!!! I don't typically listen to some of the performers on the bill, but I have to admit the music was good, the crowd being so hyped got me amped which made for a good time overall. I'm looking forward to next year's show.

    Could have been better

by Fancy07079 on 9/6/11Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New York

The show was "alright" I thought the performance were too short and should have been much longer. Elephant Man was a no show this year which was very upsetting. I look forward to seeing him each year. Overall I thought the show could have been better and longer

Show was fine...ended to early. The artist I wanted to see was suck in Miami. 2nd time I didn't get to see him. They need to learn how to switch up the artists & close the show better!

    Not Memorable

by Ptish on 9/6/11Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New York

On the Reggae Tip was not a memorable experience for me. I was dissappointed with Hot 97. The main artist dio not show up due to some traveling issue. Some of the other artist were just OK, except for Barrington Levy, had he sing the entire songs. Just not an uplifting experience. However, I did like the suprize guests. That's all I can say about it.

    Could be better

by JATTDeens on 9/5/11Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New York

2 big artists that were advertised did not show. That was a major let down. Also, if you are anywhere but right in front you can't see what is going on on the floor of the stage. It would help if they had screens showing what was going on so you wouldn't miss anything.
