OH WONDER IN CONCERT:
London-based indie pop duo Oh Wonder made their debut in 2014 with an ambitious promise: post one song a month to their Soundcloud account. One year later they collected the songs for their self-titled first album, which cracked the Top 40 hit on the UK Albums Chart that also made waves in the US. At their first shows in support of the release the pair proved themselves stellar performers, bringing lush, romantic synthpop-influenced gems like “Drive” and “Technicolor Beat” to life with their signature guy-girl vocals and live keys, guitar, and drums. Their powerful performances and growing reputation has their concerts selling out left and right, and fans won’t want to sleep on the chance to catch these rising pop auteurs on tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Oh Wonder, aka Josephine Vander Gucht and Anthony West, formed in Southeast London in 2014. They posted their debut track “Livewire” on Soundcloud that same year and pushed themselves by following up each month with a new song. The tracks quickly topped the Hype Machine charts and racked up millions of views on Soundcloud, and in 2015 Oh Wonder collected the songs along with additional singles “Without You” and “Plans” for the self-titled 2015 debut album. The record was popular with critics and landed on charts across Europe, including a No. 26 showing on the UK Albums Chart. Since then they’ve impressed on their first headlining tour, selling out venues around the world and wowing fans with confident and mesmerizing performances that belie their recent arrival to the scene.
The whole concert was everything it was the greatest and I'd definitely go back
Go see them if you get the chance! I saw them on their first US tour and they’ve only gotten better over the years. You won’t be disappointed!
Great show and very wonderful atmosphere. I am not an extreme fan of Oh Wonder so I cannot sing every song. However, they will try to bring you in. They did not sing every song in the first album. Little sad…
Better than I could possibly have imagined. If you are thinking about it, go!
Oh Wonder returned to performing and clearly remembered where their fan’s love is centered: on Josephine and Anthony! Supported by a solid three piece ensemble OW hit their stride immediately. Without You as their second song set the stage for their signature warmth and intimacy! They engaged the audience all night and were musically excellent! See them: they are a Wonder on stage!!!!!
Great acts all around, the crowd felt dense but not claustrophobic, and Oh Wonder always bops. I could've used slightly less of a break between the opener and OW.
Enjoyed every minute of the concert! Love the vocal and they are so talented
Josephine and Anthony’s stage presence is so contagious. Their earnest love for the music and being on tour is felt in every song. Love them both so much, really glad I went to see them.
Perfect! They are so good in show, hope they'll be back soon as possible
One of the best show of my life. They are both so funny and generous it’s very nice to see !
One of the best shows I've attended. Energy of Anthony and Josephine is just unforgettable. The set and lights were laid out perfectly too. Loved every aspect of it, thanks a lot.
I've been listening to Oh Wonder for the last 4-5 years but this was my first opportunity to see them live. It was well worth the wait. This was hands down the best concert I have ever been to. The energy, the excitement, the crowd, the engagement, the music. Everything was damn near perfect! 10/10
This is a can’t miss concert. I’ve been three times and they are simply the best. The crowd that goes to Oh Wonder tends to be true fans and knows all the words, myself included. They mix it up with fast and slow and Josephine keeps the crowd super engaged. Don’t miss this concert!
Waited in line about an hour and a half(in 90° sun) and was able to get a great spot.I was amazed how close/intimate the whole venue was. Had never heard of the opener Sasha Sloan before but am a fan now. Oh Wonder was unbelievable and I can't believe I got to go. Think it might have been my favorite concert.
I love this band's tracks and hoped they would be good live too. They're amazing. Josephine was the most fun I've seen an artist have on stage, and they sounded phenomenal too. They're gonna go big, and I'm gonna be sad because I will miss seeing them at small venues
Loved this performance! So much energy! The sound was fantastic too!
Oh Wonder was fantastic! They put on such a good show, played so many songs, interacted with crowd, had great energy! Josephine knows how to rock out on her keyboard! Love them!!!!!
This was such a great experience. I definitely recommend this to anyone
We loved the show!! So talented!! Would definitely see them again!! Thanks for coming to STL.
Originally I was worried Oh Wonder might be a little drab because the music is slow but they were so energetic and fun! Most I’ve danced at a show in a while!
