Great show, cool vibe, very colorful, like a dream...
Definitely one of my top bands to see live!!! I have seen them twice now, and both shows were phenomenal!
What an amazing night! It was my first Of Montreal in the Bay Area and...Wow! The only thing that would've made it better would've been if Of Montreal and Brion had played a song during the encore.
of montreal was great and had a great mix of songs, phycodelic, pop, and also electronic and the crowd was great. Only problem is the new fox theater has terible sound upstairs which we found at band of horses and on the floor for of montreal was also very bad had low and high but no midrange
Balloons everywhere! Thank you, Booty Patrol! Of Montreal was awesome, as always. Jon Brion was cool, but he lost me during some of those ridiculously long solos.
It was fantastic. The theatrics, the sound, the energy, even the crowd was great. This is a must see band, it's as simple as that.
Amazing. Theatrical. Awesome Venue. The band played great. The crowd got 2 encores.
I'd heard that of Montreal put on some of the best lives shows touring these days, but I was really really blown away. It was everything a concert should be: energetic, moving, funny, interesting, and (most importantly) everything from the band to the mixing sounded GREAT. The Fox has a great sound crew, I've noticed. Anyhow, it was seriously mindblowingly psychedelic, and the vibe, combined with the fact that they played most of their best songs (spanning Sunlandic Twins - Skeletal Lamping) and played a SICK Bowie cover (Moonage Daydream) was just awesome. The crazy films in the background were awesome, the theatrics, costumes, and dancing were awesome. Basically, it was the best show I've seen to date. SO glad I went. Oh, and John Brown (I think that's his name?) was a great opener. He started it off slow, and then busted into some absolutely great Beatles and Screamin' Jay Hawkins covers. Excellent.
The best concert I have been to in a while. Great sound. Great venue. Amazing performance. You will dance all night at an Of Montreal concert. Kevin Barnes is a genius.
The Fox is beautiful, and it is worth it just to be in the venue. But the band was not great. Every song sounded the same and the show lasted LESS than an hour. Totally not worth the $35 bucks I shelled out. A disappointment, but wrapped in the beauty of the Fox
What can I say - I had a great time, the show was fabulous, the band was extremely energetic and entertaining... Will see them again when they come back around.
Of Montreal performed a very eclectic and esoteric program. The stage show seemed to have a theme, however I could not discern their intention. The Costumes and Lighting were extremely creative and fun. The vocals were difficult to hear compared to the studio recordings that have the vocals mixed extensively well. The audience was more than enthusiastic and interesting with a mixed group of emo to transvestite and costumed people of all sorts.Overall I'd rate the experience a 9 on a scale of 0-10.
Title says it all - Of Montreal is awesome and it's a non stop dance party. See them at any cost!
It was fantastic and entertaining. thanks for a favulous time.great great great great
kevin was beautiful! the only bad part was that it took an hour and a half after the scheduled start time for of montreal to play
It was awesome to see Of Montreal, especially in the beautiful Fox Theater. Their performance was flawless, but unfortunately the sound system was too loud. The music saturated my ears so much that if I didn't already know the songs I wouldn't have been able to enjoy them. This could've been fixed if I had remembered to stop off at Walgreens and get some earplugs. Still an amazing show.
not only did they sound great live but the show was entertaining, with people acting out the songs and the colorful background.
It was fun but not super fun. The set list was well chosen but the performance wasn't as electrifying as others I had seen of theirs and of other bands. But the theatre was beautiful, a good setting for Of Montreal.
It was the most amazing show ive been to in a long time.
