OF MICE & MEN IN CONCERT:

SoCal metalcore favorites Of Mice & Men have established themselves as one of the genre’s hardest-hitting live acts, consistently flooring fans with their aggressive sound and adrenaline-filled performances on tour. Former Attack Attack! frontman Austin Carlile is as ferocious as ever at the group's live shows, leading his motley crew through decibel-shattering sets of breakneck tunes while fans jump, thrash, and mosh with reckless abandon. From the hair-raising growls and screams of "Bones Exposed" to the bludgeoning drums and guitars of "You Make Me Sick", this is a can't-miss concert experience for fans of brutal metalcore mayhem.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Of Mice & Men formed in Costa Mesa, CA in 2009 and hit the ground running, writing and recording their self-titled debut album and shooting two music videos that same year. The record peaked at No. 3 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart, drawing the band out for extensive touring including stints on the Squash the Beef and Vans Warped Tours. Lead vocalist Austin Carlile left the band for most of 2010 to undergo heart surgery, but he returned in 2011 with more energy than ever, leading the band on another year of tireless touring in support of their sophomore album The Flood. After several years on the road the band released their third album, 2014's Restoring Force, a critically acclaimed collection of songs that topped both the Hard Rock and Indie charts. An unstoppable live act known for their savage energy and blistering sets, Of Mice & Men shake ticket buyers to the core every time they take the stage.

Austin Carlile / OMAM = OMG AMAZING

by gBuzz on 1/29/13Masquerade - Atlanta

Austin was amazing. Even though he has an infection in his left ear which is deaf, he powered through the show in pain. Some were saying he cut the show short, but he did not. He slayed the crowd with all their hits, the band was awesome, and this guy is a great frontman who screams his heart out. He loves his fans and it shows.

by stikfigure on 11/28/11Pops - Sauget

this show was simply amazing. Of mice and men sounded great and there was a lot of pit movement. I didn't particularly like the other bands but of mice and men was so great that that didn't matter.

Of Mice and Men - great concert

by Dewey66 on 11/22/11Northern Lights - Clifton Park

Sound was loud without being ear shattering. Bands were friendly and each interacted with the crowd. Each band played 6 - 8 songs.

Of Mice & Men was spot on.

by rockizzle on 11/15/11Orpheum - Tampa

As for as the openers go, they were are good performers if you enjoy their music. There was a ton of energy and the crowd was into everything that was going on. I personally can't stand I Wrestled A Bear Once but many people at the venue were into them. I came from Jacksonville FL, driving 4 hours for one reason. Seeing Of Mice & Men, and it was well worth it. They aren't known for technical music, they're known for catchy music, unique style, and tons of energy. They delivered on all accounts.

    AMAZING SHOW!

by ChiPhiGator on 11/15/11Orpheum - Tampa

I have frequented many concerts and this one is up at the top. The artists were real and obtainable. They visited their fans, they took pictures, and acted like real people, not some super celeb on stage that you probably will never see in real life. The atmosphere was electric and the crowd fed off of the super pumped vibes that every band (minus Iwrestledabearonce) sent out. The vocals were great, acoustics were amazing. Of Mice and Men and I See Stars were particularly amazing. Both played great songs, interacted with the crowd and sounded amazing. I will try to see as many shows, with these two bands, as I can in the near future.

This was the most epic show I've probably ever seen. I loved everything about it. All the bands were amazing (with the exception of I Set My Friends on Fire). Other than that, it was just overall amazing.

    Of Mice & Men

by Nadzz on 4/4/11Masquerade - Atlanta

The concert was enjoyable, do not get me wrong - but the masquerade is such a closed environment. I'm quite uncertain how many people were injured, and the bands just influenced moshing. I was near the front of the stage when I was hurt, I tried to get out of the crown asap because of this. Which was also hard, tight cramped spaces - yikes.

I took my 18 year old son(who is also my vocalist) this show for his birthday. While my own tastes are a little heavier, he was blown away by all the performances! He crowd surfed, got bruised and bloody in the pit and landed on stage 3 times. As always, the sound at the Masquerade was perfect. All in all a very solid show. I would recommend this show to anyone who likes this style of music. All the bands were in top form!
