Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir Tickets

The event had a nice mix of comedy, grace, depth, and glory. I especially loved the youth and the signers! My two friends who I purchased the tickets for were so grateful to have gone and will make it a regular event on their calendar.

I have heard gospels in the churches but it was my first time to hear in the theater. It was gorgeous and I enjoyed it very much. I wish to go next year again.

This was my first year attending this event with my daughter and a friend. It was FANTASTIC - Great for the family . I walked away feeling so happy. Great job to the folks who are responsible for putting this together. I look forward to next year. I plan to make it an annual event.

Oakalnd Interfaith Gospel Choir is one of the most sophisticated and inspired musical organizations I have ever witnessed. Each note is magnificent, and a true testment to the faith and love of every choir member. I enjoyed every moment! Thanks for all your hard work, OIGC, and thank you for spreading the love!

Wow!! The Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir is tremendous. From the opening with the youth choir, throughout the entire 3 hour show it was awesome! I truly feel blessed to have attended and now feel so in the holiday spirit. Terrance Kelly is such a dynamic personality. His own singing was very moving. I recently lost my father, and when the choir sang Silent Night, with the encouragement to shout out names of loved ones passed, I felt a feeling of healing and peace. Thank you Terrance!! I would reccomend this annual show to everyone to experience. It was wonderful!!

The best part- the Paramount Theater- an architectural jewel. The worst- too loud and poorly balanced sound. The choir harmonies were too similar in harmony and progression. While this is "interfaith" the subject was pretty much "one note" on Christian themes. Even when the Kugelplex klezmer group joined, we hardly heard them due to poor balance. While some dynamic nuance was attempted, they too were all too similar in effect. Chest voice singing, especially when amplified, is over-the-top, TOO LOUD!

I love this choir and what it embraces, it is a moving tribute to the holiday season and our community, GO IFGC!!!

As a non-aficionado of gospel music, I was not expecting what transpired on Saturday night. This performance was an absolutely stunning event of extraordinary creativity, talent, skill, passion, and pure joy. Never have I experienced from a stage production such a lifting of my spirits! Two days later and I'm still at peace with the world and everyone in it (long may this continue LOL!). The director, Terrance Kelly, showed himself to be a brilliantly talented human being committed to the betterment of our world through his work. Those of us fortunate enough to live in Oakland need to celebrate more often the presence of this man and choir in our midst!

OUTSTANDING!!! One of the most inspirational, joy-filled, lively, spirited holiday season musical events I've attended in years. Great mix of songs with incredible soloists that make you really feel the songs they're singing. They had us out of our seats and dancing in the aisles. Highly recommendable. We will be back next year for sure! GREAT SHOW!! The choir literally 'rocked the house'.

Sorry to say but it was not good. Not good at all. The sound was off. You could not make out the words. The instraments drowned out the choirs singing. It was very disappointing to go to hear such a good choir and not be able to make out the words they were singing. The mix was terrible. We had seen the OIGChoir twice before and had a very injoyable uplifting time. Sound had been great. But not this time. We even moved arround to different open seats to see if it was just where we were sitting. No help. Also, they stopped to talk after just about every song. Very distracting, not very professional. Sorry to say, We will not be going back.

A truly amazing experience. The joy on the faces of the choir and the uplifting message that Terrance gave will last me through the new year. To see the entire audience on their feet should have been testament enough that the message was coming through loud and clear. The only down side I could see was that at times the sound was a little too loud to hear what was being sung. But mostly it was a heart warming experience

I REALLY enjoyed this concert and can’t wait to see them again next year. I attended the show last year and I was really disappointed in the sound this year compared to last year’s show. However, I know that this was not the fault of the choir because I have seen the choir previously throughout the year and I can say... they ARE real singers! I hope that I’m able to hear their unique voices again next year… without the music drowning them all out! P.S - MORE people need to witness them live! They have voices and energy like no other!

Well, what can I say? I was speechless by night's-end. I have followed the choir somewhat for the last decade (always catch MLK event), but it has been awhile since I attended the holiday concert. I was alternately dancing and in tears. The energy was overwhelming! Terrance Kelly is a genius, and it is clear that these people are inspired by . . . if not by God then I don't know what! I love the dancing songs, but also the Xmas carols (arranged by T. Kelly, of course). The woman with the cane in "Joy to the World" was amazing. Only criticism I have is that I couldn't hear some the soloists as well as I would have liked. But, all in all, this event gets me going for the season and keeps me inspired!

This was my first big gospel choir concert and it was really great. The keyboard tending to be very mellow form time to time is my only criticism. Excellent and soulful music!

The Annual Christmas Concert was incredible as always. It is such a fun way to really kick off your Holiday Season! Even someone who makes a point never to dance or thinks they can't dance will find themselves busting out and having an amazing time! I truly feel so sad for anyone who misses out on this concert.. It is full of joy and my husband, friends and I always have a total blast! Director Terrence Kelly is a musical genius with mad leadership skills. It is always wonderful to watch him do his thing.

The singers were amazing, the music great but way too loud and the sound system was poor. Quality of sound output was disturbing. Too bad!
