An amazing cross section of performance types, everything from drag, to ballet, circus, burlesque, modern dance, flamenco and opera strung together with extravagant costumes that belong in the likes of the Met Opera. I cannot recommend this show highly enough, titillating, beautiful, hilarious and something truly unique. If you're looking for a way to celebrate the holiday in a uniquely adult way, this is a must see.

by MasterKen on 12/5/13Minetta Lane Theatre - New YorkIf you like excellent performers with hot bodies in gender-bending fetishwear costumes, you will enjoy Nutcracker Rouge in spite of theweak script, mediocre direction and poor choreography. Let's face is, this is burlesque and people go for tits and ass, not for high art. This show has plenty of hot asses, great legs, and well-shaped tits. BTW, the Minetta Lane has a rude and insulting house staff including an incompetent box office. The wine sold at intermission was rot gut. Neither of us could finish ours. Our tickets were for seats that were in a row that did not exist. After a hassle, we were given seats that turned out to have been sold to other people so we were relocated for a third time. Instead of being apologetic, the house staff was insulting.

Featuring several short acts with different dancers and different styles the show aims to entertain and succeeds. The costumes were amazing, the theater itself was small and intimate, and the music set the pace and mood. Coming in at around 95 minutes it wasn't too long or too short and definitely a perfect fit for the holidays.

Then there are those 3 powerhouse singers, the aerialists and amazing dancers... Ms. Candy Cane and her Ring routine is just insane. But love love love the costumes!
