Very entertaining!!! Performers are so talented - great show!
This was my 1st time seeing this performance and I was blown away!! All of the performers were so talented. The show was pure entertainment from beginning to end. I loved the costumes, the interaction from the narrator and the dancing and singing. I didn't want it to end. Some plays you get to a point when you are looking forward to the intermission but this was definitely not one of them. The play and the performers kept me entertained and I'm glad I paid extra for the Orchestra section..... so worth the money. After the play, the narrator met with the audience and addressed questions and allowed for photo ops with her. She had a great personality and had a great sense of humor. I highly recommend others to attend. Great show and wonderfully talented cast.
I have never seen anything like it ( and I've seen a lot !) Excellent !
Excellent performance. Loved the mixed of various types of dance. Very talented cast! Would definitely recommend (and already have).
This was the most talented, erotic burlesque ... most tastefully done. It would appeal to everyone. A creative and fun approach to a timeless classic that should be experienced by those that can appreciate an eclectic mix of artistry. I will certainly make it a holiday tradition.
Much better than Cinderella. This had the energy and life that Cinderella lacked because the blond bubbly narrator/hostess (whose name escapes me - please forgive me. I want to give you credit in this review, but for some reason your name isn't on the website's cast portion!!!!) who is full of energy was in this one. She is great and knows who she is (Julliard graduate). You're the reason I fell in love with CompanyXIV to begin with - energy, humor and audience engagement. Honestly, I don't even know the story of the Nutcracker, but I enjoyed the evening. I would have liked more singing. I liked that we could record - works for you guys and for us. Win-win. Only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because the lighting people must have forgotten that this was the real thing: they shone the bright lights ON THE AUDIENCE, BLINDING US. They should know better. We paid $175 per seat to watch amazing talent perform, not be blinded! I have no idea what they're thinking or why Austin would hire amateurs and ruin his phenomenal reputation.
Excellent and wonderful. Performers were so talented for an off Broadway show.
I thought this would be more in line with the story of the Nutcracker. I also thought it would be hilarious! It was not. It was mildly funny in the second half. I thought all the tattoos and bruises should have been covered for a more classy effect. But most of all, I HATED the incense that burned through the ENTIRE show! My party all left with sore throats, runny noses, and watery eyes because of it!
Amazing alternative to the classic performance we are all used to!
Really good show, amazing actually!! but the seats were a little bit uncomfortable.
It was fabulous, the cast was amazing, loved it.AG
Without giving too much away, this is a must see performance. Cirque du Soleil, ballet, burlesque, comedy show, and truly talented singers all rolled into one. The theater has such an intimate setting; coupled with the performances-- it will leave you in awe. Fantastic show.
first 10 minutes were a little slow/confusing but then it really took off - great singers and dancers and lots of (very attractive) skin (male and female)
The adaptation was amazing. It used the elements of ballet and the original music, but weaves it with incredible burlesque demonstrations. Definitely worth my time and money!
Incredibly talented group of dancers, acrobats, singers, artist and performers. After seeing this performance, I NEVER ever want to see the traditional version of the Nutcracker ever again.
rockin sockin non stop amazing sexy fun the way live theatre is supposed to be.
excellent - well done - dancers were superb - not enough adjectives to describe our enjoyment - thank you XIV
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Would definitely go see it again, if only to try and catch what we may have missed the first time around.
Great Team, I liked the show, the ambiance, the interaction before, while & after the event, very down to earth performers, will go outside the theatre to great you & say good bye & send some positive vibe & laughter. Good Luck Guys, I will definitely like to see it again & see your upcoming shows, whenever I am in the US again. The theatre could be better for the price we paid, but it is not that much bad. would have preferred wider leg space, less inclination of the balcony & for sure less fogg machines prior the show, but the fun during the show made me forget the discomfort.
