Lively concert with lots of talented musicians of all ages and lazers everywhere, costumes and entertaining conductor! Too much fun!!!!!
Overall a good concert. The new material written for this performance was not great. I really enjoyed the sing along at the end.
I have been to this PAC a few times in the past few months. It is usually way too loud with the sound and freezing in the seating area. Tired of not being comfortable and didn't have it in me to do it again. My party opted to lose our money and not attend. We have discussed with sound guy to no avail.
First, the orchestra was wonderful ! They played flawlessly and it was beautiful. That being said, I was disappointed. I was hoping for, and actually expecting, a night full of Christmas Carols performed by the orchestra. Instead, I think maybe less than half of the show was Christmas Carols, the rest were things I did not know, and they kept trying to "supplement"the orchestra with singers and dancers and whatnot that to me were distracting and took away from the sound of the orchestra. I wish they just stuck to the orchestra alone and stuck to known Christmas Carols.
“Bewitched!” was all over the place. Song choices were not suited to the guest vocalist and were just odd choices for the theme of the evening. Enjoyed pieces without vocals and those seemed to be at least somewhat in line with what we were expecting. We have tickets for upcoming shows and hope they’ll be back to excellence.
What a beautiful evening to listen to Halloween themed music! The orchestra, Tyler, Matthew, and Jackie were terrific. Maestro Palmer was in total command. Elena was beyond words. Such versatility and accomplishment! I would definitely enjoy seeing more productions here! Keep up the strong scheduling!
North Charleston Pops Music Director, Nick Palmer, his talented army of musicians, and special guests, Jeffrey Biegel, Anastasia Petrunina, and Alva Anderson, hit their Symphony in Red, White, and Blue tribute to George Gershwin and Americana out of the park! Special kudos to PopKids Choir and eVOX future stars for showcasing Greater Charleston's fountain of budding talent! A diverse audience underscores ongoing excellence of N. Charleston Pops' contribution to Charleston culture. 5-Stars!
Great concert, and so affordable. Truly enjoyed the entire evening. Wonderful selections, impressive use of local talent.
Wonderful performance by the Pops, guest soloists, and the corale ensemble. Appealing variety of Broadway tunes, not just the usual selections. An overall fun experience.
