  • Tickets were a birthday gift

by zoom on 4/10/23Arena Theatre - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

Venue was excellent. Parking great. The concert ran too long. The majority of the attendees were over 50. Don't assume that everyone is off work the next day. Should have started at 8:00pm. Birthday boy really enjoyed. The first two acts were very good.

  • Too late, Too long, Too bad

by Court on 4/9/23Arena Theatre - HoustonRating: 3 out of 5

I love Norma Brown, let me say that first. The show started too late for one thing for a Thursday night. The first two acts were entertaining and appear to have had more time. When Norman finally came out, close to 1130pm, we had been there 3 hours already. But here he comes, the act we had come to see and his sound was horrible!!! The sound crew were on and off the stage during his set. It was bad. I don’t know who’s to blame but I felt we did not get our monies worth. Fans deserve better.

  • It could have been better

by Prof on 4/9/23Arena Theatre - HoustonRating: 3 out of 5

Norma Brown must was late for the show, because the opening act went on for 1 hour and headliner, Pieces of a Dream was only on for 45 minutes and was rushed off the stage for Norman Brown . We had to leave before the concert was over because it was too long and it was no longer fun

  • Jazz Explosion

  • Show

by Iam on 4/9/23Arena Theatre - HoustonRating: 4 out of 5

We didn’t see Norman Brown, because the sound guys didn’t get their act together, we left, The Pieces of a Dream and Mike Phillips performance were great. Hire different sound guys who know what they are doing!

  • Arena Theater Needs A More Experienced Setup Crew

by Antonio on 4/9/23Arena Theatre - HoustonRating: 3 out of 5

Love the artist themselves but the concert started way too late and the setup time in between artist took entirely too long. The sound of some of the instruments couldn't be heard as clear, not sure if it was set up correctly. I was very disappointed.

  • The Arena Theater is Showing its Age

    by Dr.Mimi on 4/9/23Arena Theatre - HoustonRating: 3 out of 5

The sound in the Arena Theater used to be some of the best in Houston. Unfortunately, technology appears to have passed the venue by. Despite attempts to correct the sound problems, the audio team never quite figured it out….

  • Way too much Mike Phillips and hardly ANY Norman Brown!! 🤬🤬🤬

    by Vicki L on 4/9/23Arena Theatre - HoustonRating: 3 out of 5

Started too late! Mike Phillips played WAY too long! Paid MONEY for Pieces of a Dream and Norman Brown. Norman barely played 45 minutes! Very disappointed!

  • Norman Brown

by Mike on 4/9/23Arena Theatre - HoustonRating: 4 out of 5

The only thing stopping this show from being a 5 star was the sound system and lack of a crowd. There were constant problems with the sound system and microphones. I thoroughly enjoyed the performers

  • There is not a word in the Universe to describe Norman Brown

by Novi on 2/4/23Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

From the time he stepped onto the stage, it was electrifying. Norman is such an outstanding talented artist. I invited my new friend to this concert and he is now a Norman Brown fan. Every chance I get to see Storming Norman, I will go. I can never get enough. Absolutely AMAZING. Novella

  • Norman Brown

by HLRJR on 2/2/23Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 4 out of 5

Very good, entertaining show. I thought the acoustics from the bass player and drummer were loud and drowned Norman Brown, especially the singing. Norman Brown was very entertaining and inspirational

  • Overall it was good

by Shophog on 2/1/23Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 4 out of 5

I love Norman Brown and have seen him numerous times. My daughter and I went for my pre birthday outing. While he was good, I was disappointed that he didn’t play some songs from his current album especially since the venue announced that there we CD’s available. I didn’t feel compelled to purchase a CD because my appetite wasn’t peaked by the music I heard. The covers that he did perform were great.

  • A nice night.

    by Marge S. on 2/1/23Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 4 out of 5

Norman Brown is an amazing musician and knows how to make his guitar sing! It was a good show. We wish he had played more...there were a few times when he just talked too much.

  • Awesome

    by D. S. on 9/16/22Akron Civic Theatre - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

Norman Brown is one of my idols guitarist, I first saw him in Anaheim California in the 90s. He still has the energy of a teenager. What a genius just awesome player.

This show was very disappointing to me. First, off i did not know hubs groove was the shows opening band i don't care for them. Second, Norman Brown just played a medley of other groups songs for most of the concert. Third, the sound set-up was terrible with feed back and garble, could not understand a thing they sung. Fourth, great guitarist, showman but this show i would have to rate an F and not likely to attend another.
