About

Nine Inch Nails are a progressive, Grammy-winning industrial rock band composed of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. Formed in Cleveland, Ohio as a solo project for singer, songwriter and producer Trent Reznor in 1988, Nine Inch Nails have released 11 studio albums, six EPs and three remix albums, starting with 1989’s Pretty Hate Machine and breakout debut singles “Down In It” and “Head Like a Hole.” For 1992’s Broken EP, NIN reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 while its standout record “Wish” won the Grammy for Best Metal Performance. In the midst of hitting No. 2 and No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for 1994’s The Downward Spiral and 1999’s The Fragile, respectively, NIN released Hot 100-charting singles “Closer” and “The Perfect Drug” and earned a second Best Metal Performance Grammy at the 1996 ceremony for “Happiness in Slavery.” Nine Inch Nails went on hiatus until the 2005 chart-topper With Teeth, then hit the Hot 100 again with singles “The Hand That Feeds” and “Only,” and later with “Survivalism" from their 2007 follow-up Year Zero. Longtime collaborator and English producer Atticus Ross became an official member of NIN in 2016, established with a trilogy of releases culminating in 2018’s Bad Witch. As composers, the duo have earned two Academy Awards, two Grammys and one Emmy. In 2020, Nine Inch Nails were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. NIN also composed the score for the 2025 film Tron: Ares.

This was honestly the best show I have ever seen. My husband and I bought tickets to celebrate our anniversary, and this was honestly a concert and anniversary we will never forget.

Nine Inch Nails went above and beyond to put on an epic show. They are as good as they were 30 years ago. This band truly appreciates their fans and loves singing for them. I can’t wait for the next tour.

  • A return to form

    by Bill99999 on 8/11/25Moda Center - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen NIN about 10 times over the years, and I'm happy to say this was an exceptional show, better in every way than the last time we saw NIN is Austin a dozen years ago. Of course some songs were stronger than others, but the emotion was there throughout and they probably did the best live version of Reptile that I've ever seen. The setlist pulls heavily from the first three albums and they even played a couple of obscure nuggets. My only quibble is Imissed hearing songs from The Fragile. Highly recommended!

  • Great Show, But…

by I Hate Nicknames on 8/11/25Moda Center - PortlandRating: 4 out of 5

The artist was amazing. Production was phenomenal. My seats were exactly what I was expecting. My concern is the cables rising from the sound booth to the ceiling. While they didn’t block my view, they have at other concerts, and I’ve heard some complaints about them from this concert. If there is any way to run them in an ore ration as to not block anyone’s view, that would be amazing.

  • Awesome Visual Experience

by Lex on 8/11/25Moda Center - PortlandRating: 4 out of 5

The venue was packed of course because who doesn't want to see NIN! But overall the experience was great, quick lines, friendly and helpful staff and a wonderful performance from Trent and Atticus. The prices were a little much but as a native, I expected that front the Moda Center lol. Overall so much fun!

  • Amazing Show!!

by Lisa on 8/11/25Moda Center - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Every time I see NIN they’re better than the time before. And this was no exception. Absolutely stunning show from start to finish. Cannot recommend enough!

  • Played a whole lot of older songs!

by Calla on 8/11/25Moda Center - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

He was amazing as usual, catalog of older songs, great sound, great light show, the whole band was top notch. No encore tho.

  • Pretty good but not great

by Rob on 8/11/25Moda Center - PortlandRating: 3 out of 5

Stage setup was interesting the way they moved back and forth between a small stage in the center of the crowd and the main large stage a few times. Light effects and video setup was good. Unfortunately, at least from where I sat (center back of arena) the show just didnt sound that great. Wall of noise. I know NIN is noisy in general, but it was hard to hear lows and highs, everything was sort of just muddy sounding. The opening DJ sounded better honestly.

  • NIN

by Steve on 8/11/25Moda Center - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

NIN still rocken after all these years. Still sound just as good. Some new songs also.

  • Excellent show

by JS on 8/11/25Moda Center - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

It was one of the more unique and exciting shows I've been to. I loved the transition between artists and stages, and the sound was so good!! I am so happy I got to see Nine Inch Nails finally and it was a great show. The venue and staff were good too, and I'm thankful I picked seats that I liked really well
