Drag racing, Great sport. People, alcohol, and fast cars. Everyone should go!

I throughly enjoyed the entire time I was there! Almost constant racing which my stepson and grandson loved. This was the first time they had ever been and they are both now hooked! Thank everyone, the drivers, officials and the workers for all they did!

Best ever event, everything was perfect except the rain on Saturday, but so perfect they raced later when the track was dried up. 👍👍👍👍👍

This is our 5th NHRA event and 2nd at ZMax and they never disappoint. Saturday qualifying has a rain delay but during the delay one of the racers pulled his bike under stands and talked with us for about 30 minutes; he even let some of the fans (my 12 y/o son too) sit on his bike. It’s was a great experience and made memories for a lifetime.

Even with the rain on Saturday and Antron losing on Sunday. It was an awsome weekend. Still trying to understand bracket racing. I will definitely return in the spring.

Everything from purchasing my tickets to the end of the day was perfect. Arrived at opening time and parked in the handicapped parking and had a short walk to the entrance. The lady there was friendly and thanked us for being there. All the employees we encountered with were outstanding and very helpful. I couldn’t get over how clean everything was and erehow well maintained the track was. Being from Florida originally l attended the Gator Nationals a few times but your place was better. Having been a drag race fan and sometimes a driver or volunteer l have attended races for over 65 years. Was flagman at Kissimmee drags when they started out and many of old timers raced there included Big Daddy.

Tickets were great, weather was nice and we had a blast!

NHRA Carolina Nationals 2023 was pure adrenaline rush. Nitro junkie for life now.

NHRA is the greatest sport with the friendliest group of drivers and crew in any sport. Z-max is one of the nicest parks on the circuit. If you never experienced professional drag racing you must see it in person

Love NHRA but Charlotte could upgrade some things..Both of the TV monitors could be about 3 times the size...plus at the starting line some kind of monitor telling the name of the driver..Then at the finish a W that lights up for Winner..Hole shot time makes a difference on some winners..

Great two days at ZMAX pace is over the top with anything you may want or need clost to any seat. NHRA put on a solid show as always.

Event was great. Was stressed because ticket in wallet didn’t show a bar code. However, when I went through the gate, their hand held scanner worked fine. Had no problem reading my ticket. Made the rest of my day less stressful.

Been going to the drag races for years. Been many times to Sonoma (Sears Point), Pomona (Winter Nationals, and Finals), Las Vegas, and Seattle. Always looks forward to Friday night drags in Sonoma, where record breaking passes are set! This year, 95% of the funny car field smoked the tires right off of the starting line, hence the title... Bummed!! Just the luck of the draw, I guess. On the other hand, The DJ, to fill in the down time was HORRIBLE and out of place!! And so was the MC at the autograph session!! Keep it simple! Let Bob Fry or the like, announce the race and keep it legit!!!

The NHRA drag racing itself is still just as good as it always was. Sonoma raceway itself needs to get its act together however. I purchased a parking pass online and it was for Lot 1. There’s no lot 1 at the facility. They’re all designated with letters. Do you think anyone working there knew where lot 1 was? Nope. It would definitely be helpful if they placed numbered signs on the backside of the tower stands also. All signage was extremely hard to find. Leaving the parking lots is pretty chaotic. There’s no signage or lanes designated with cones or paint to direct cars so you get a lot of cars cutting in and trying to pass and cut in at the front which obviously pisses people off. I’ve been going to the races there since the late 80’s so I’m not new to the party but it’s definitely more controlled and buttoned down than it used to be. Everything is a money grab. You can’t even stand at the fences without forking out extra cash. Speaking of cash, no one, and I mean no one would except cash at the racetrack. Card only. The drag races are still pretty good value for the money, especially Saturday, but it can definitely be expensive to bring the family now. If you go to a track like Las Vegas you’ll see how cool and laid back it could be.

Not what I expected.. No one checked our tickets, nor checked seatings. We had people just roaming in wherever they want, drunk. Bumping in to people, kicking chairs, qnd laughing about it. I bought 5 tickets, to cover my son and grandkids.. they left early because of the seat roamers. They were harrassing a lot of good people. Seats were comfortable, but the people across the track got better views of the races.

Best Elimination fay weather in years! Awesome staff throughout, great venue, great everything EXCEPT the elimination of the Pro Stock category. Very disappointed. My not return next year if this change remains.

I loved it! & I liked feeling of the power of the hot rods, on the seats & the loud sound(a little less). I also liked being around others that have the same love for racing. It was my first time at Sonoma raceway, & I plan on returning next year!
