Including that game, there have been 37 regular-season outdoor games played to date, attended by 1,851,642 fans. The Flames-Oilers outdoor matchup will mark the seventh NHL Heritage Classic, which includes the inaugural game in Edmonton (2003), as well as games in Calgary (2011), Vancouver (2014), Winnipeg (2016), Regina (2019) and Hamilton (2022).

Stadium was decked out very well.

    by L. M. on 10/29/19Mosaic Stadium - Regina

The security line was extremely long and a bit slow. Parking was a bit of a hodgepodge. Purchased a ticket but no attendant there to show ticket to. Didn’t know if we were parking in the right area? Would we get ticketed or towed??? Venues ran out of things before 2nd period. Game was great, atmosphere electric, organized well.

    Friendliest hockey fans ever!

by Winnipeg gals on 10/29/19Mosaic Stadium - Regina

This was a true prairie hockey experience. Mosaic Stadium was electric. We absolutely loved the Trans Canada highway signs and the very appropriate "Meet me in the middle" song. The cold, windy weather and light snowfall just added to the pond hockey feel . And best of all the Flames, Jets and Rider fans were friendly and mutually respectful. Of course, the Jets' win in overtime was the cherry on the sundae. We stayed at the Temple Gardens Spa in Moose Jaw so the ride back after the game was a bit slick but all in all, it was a wonderful weekend. Congratulations to the Heritage Classic organizers, and the Jets and Flames organizations for making this a truly memorable weekend.

Great event to be a part of

by Tcey on 10/29/19Mosaic Stadium - Regina

Had tickets in row 4 (right at field level) and was unable to see the rink as players. Moved up higher to some open seats for a better view and it was great. Bathroom lineups on the concourse were long and had people missing 12 minutes of the game in our section and many I'm sure as the start of the periods looked very different than the first period.

    Once in a lifetime

by JMB on 10/29/19Mosaic Stadium - Regina

It was a great experience. The magic of the snow falling, the excitement of the 3rd period. Great fun. The bathroom situation for the guys was crazy and ran out of hot Chocolate the 1st period on the upper concourse though.

    Venue

by Kelly on 10/29/19Mosaic Stadium - Regina

The game was great, the event itself was fantastic but the venue could have been better prepared. Fans had no where to go to get out of the 40k winds which made it uncomfortable for many. Although the TV broadcast never mentioned it, the stands were emptier after each period of hockey. They couldn't even serve their draft beer because something was frozen. We felt as if there could have been heaters placed around the concourse or at the top of the ramp so you could get out of the wind. We were well dressed because we were watching the weather for a few days before the event and surely the event organizers were doing the same? Even the Tim's coffee and hot chocolate were only warm being served from the big urns. So I would say the reason for the 3 star rating was mainly due to the venue.

    Room for Improvement

by USAHockeyFan on 3/7/14BC Place - Vancouver

Too bad the roof couldn't be open. The pre-game outside was lackluster. Musical acts were subpar. Ticket prices were too high for what you received. Hockey itself was fun to watch.

    Amazing venue, but way overpriced!

by Kitsilano on 3/5/14BC Place - Vancouver

Venue 5+ stars! Just a great environment. Too bad the Canucks weren't able to live up to it. I love hockey, but the Canucks are just not a good on-ice product. Way overpriced for the value of the game/team.

    by CashGrab2014 on 3/5/14BC Place - Vancouver

I needed to pay another $224 for another ticket for my 1 year old daughter to sit in my lap!?? What, there would be an empty seat next to me? Bathroom lineups where INSANE! While to be expected with 54,000+ people, it was not pleasant. Ticket prices were outrageous for what was an indoor game. For the same cost, I can get better tickets at GM Place. I will not go to another "outdoor" game, cash grab, pure and simple.

Heritage Classic, or Canucks home game?

by MCfromBC on 3/5/14BC Place - Vancouver

I have enjoyed the heritage classic and stadium series games up to the one I actually attended. I found that this particular one was treated more like a regular home game in a novelty arena, versus a special event entirely. The Ottawa Senators were hardly, if at all highlighted - from the merchandise to the advertising in Vancouver to the video displays from faceoff to final horn. I am not from Ottawa, but still could not help but feel for the fans who traveled that far to be treated like second class fans and at times - the enemy. Poor form, NHL and Canucks organization (and fans), to make it all about one team for this special event. Time to pick a different team to cheer for to rid myself of the drama and misguided arrogance that has flooded the Vancouver hockey market.
