Fantastic event. Spent the day with my 10 year old son. Incredible experience that we will never forget!
NFL & Indy did an excellent job of pulling of the 1st Media Day where fans were allowed in. There is not one complaint I can offer. Well worth the ticket price. Got to feel a little of the super bowl moment without going to the game.
With this being the first year the NFL has allowed the public to experience media day. Most people did not know what to expect. It was very awesome. When you first entered you were give a Gatorade NFL Media Bag Filled with Goodies. It also had a radio headphone with it that allowed you to listen to you your favorite players interviews. Tom Brady thought it was cool as well because he and other players did not know the 7200 fans in attendance could hear what was being said. When he talked about Peyton Manning the fans went wild. Thats when he was told fans could hear him and sent a shout out to them. Alot of fun to see the different media people and the ones dressed up in costumes. Like the super hero PICK MAN or Dragon Man or Sombrero Man!!!! Cool to see HOF's Like Deion Sanders, Marshall Faulk, Michael Irvin. Chris Berman
Great experience! The only constructive criticism would be te inability to hear the media's question. Next year player and media should have a microphone facing them.
You got to see everything connected with a Superbowl but the game itself. Love walking around the stadium and the fan interaction. I do wish someway could be found for the fans to be able to interact personally with the players during that hour. Maybe by social media???
Great gift bags, great set up...well done. Glad to be part of the overall experience and would imagine the NFL continuing this tradition. Only con - food lines were terrible. Long and unorganized behind the counter. Hopefully they have this figured out before game day!
The players not kowing they could be heard on radio by the fans in the audience was humorous. It was nice to be close but pretty buttoned up and no idea where better food choices were without wandering around the lower level of the stadium. A program in the bag could have listed that or an email prior to the event.
Lots of fun. Would have loved to have a little bit of up close an personal with the players, but the botttom line is we had a ball.
So impressed with the set-up of the entire event. We were given XM radio earpieces so that we could listen to the player/coach of our choice (or switch between all of them). Each team was given 1 hour of time for interviews with an hour in between - plenty of time to spend an enormous amount of money on a cheeseburger, fries and a drink! But, we'd expect nothing less, right? Fantastic event - would do it again in a heartbeat if/when the Super Bowl is held in Indy again!
The NFL Media Day was well worth the $25 price of admission. I liked the opportunity to listen in on the unfiltered interviews with the players. One suggestion would be to have a reporter in the "fan" audience allowing them to ask questions of the players. Additionally, it was challenging to see the players because of the ladders camera people and reports were standing on. Overall it was an exciting time and a very good first attempt by the NFL to allow fans in on the craziness.
I loved the earpieces provided for listening to the interview. In the future, you should invite some of the past players, like Deion Sanders, etc. to meet with the fans. Need a little more interaction with the fans.
Well worth it. Nice that it was a first time, here in Indy.
My son and I went to NFL Media Day 2012 and had an awesome time! It was great to not only see the players and coaches, but also to get hear their perspective on the big game as well some ligher topics! The folks at Lucas Oil did a tremendous job!
It was a wonderful experience and soo worth the money!
I liked the experience. Had alot of fun. Would go again if the Super Bowl comes back to Indy. Was exactly what I expected.
Wonderful, fantastic event.. The headsets made listening to each player easy.
It was pretty cool being part of the first fans to ever attend a media day event. I liked having the radios and being able to tune into the different interviews being conducted. I read an article on Yahoo! where some people complained that they had expected to be up close and personal with the players and coaches, and maybe even shake some of their hands. Those people are idiots. Never in the description of the event did it allude to that possibility. So for all of those idiots who are complaining that they did not get their money's worth, that is their own damn fault. They knew what they were getting into, and if they didn't, then they need to go back to school and learn how to read. Players were signing some autographs even though there were signs posted saying that the players were not available for autographs. Thank you to the NFL for making this event available to the fans. Hopefully this will continue in the future. It would have been cool if there were some free giveaways, like tickets to the NFL Experience.
My daughter and I had a great time at this event!! I couldn't afford Superbowl tickets to the game so I thought next best thing would be Media Day and for only $25 it was well worth it!! We were able to see what the stadium looked like for the game and were able to see and hear(with our free radio) each player while they were being interviewed!! Once in a life time event!!!
..... is a zoo, excellent people watching, including telemundo
Very cool to see all of the players and coaches and there was some audience interaction with them as well. The headphones to listen to the podiums were a great idea too.
