Players and coaches were awsome. Way to give back to the fans.
I go to most Colts games, but being in the stadium where the Super Bowl will be played in just a few days and being only a short distance away from all of the players, coaches and media was an amazing experience!!
The event was pretty good. I didn't like parking on the south side thinking we could walk to the east side to the Spirit gate, but when we got there we were told to walk back a block and come to the front. This should have been marked on the street or you should have had noted to us about the way to come into the event. Glad it wasn't raining.
Had a great time. Explored some sections of the stadium that never had access before. Would definitely do again if given the chance.
A great event for the fans. We got to see the differant players, & see Lucas Oil Stadium before the Super Bowl.
The size of the crowd was perfect. Having it early in the week provides an opportunity for the locals to see the stadium and super bowl set up. When you walked into Lucas you knew you were at the super bowl. Everything has super bowl colors and emblems, you wouldn't know it was the Colts stadium. Shame the Colts aren't there, the AFC was there to be had. Only negative was not all the channels were shown for the headset. Only the big names.
This was the first time for this event and it was a great success. Enjoyed the whole experience.
If you plan to sit for the entire event, it is extremely boring. I got up and wandered around after the first session. Being closer would have made the event more interesting, but higher in the stands where you can't see anything, the event is pointless to attend. You see much more on NFL Network. The gift bags they gave were quite nice. The radio can be used after the event is over and there were a couple autograph sessions during the event.
We didn't know what to expect, but the communication with the rado to the players' interviews was the main key for us to feel a part of the media frenzy. Next time, please have a program with the day's schedule for each team and the names of the players/numbers. I didn't know all of the team members walking around, so need a roster just to identify them. Thanks for the bags of goodies, that was a special souvenoir that was useful as well. Overall, I would do it again, and no one does it better than Indy!!
The first ever open to the public and it was great! Checking out the stadium and seeing the players up close really made us feel part of the Super Bowl. I hope they continue to make this day open to the public and a discount on merchandise during that day also was nice and unexpected.
Had a great time! I would definetly do it again. Really liked the gift bag! Thank you!
Overall, it was a fun experience. Loved the radio's in which you could hear specific interviews with players. As it was the 1st event like this for the NFL the staff was very nice, however getting into the event was a bit of a joke and the concessions were not prepared for such a crowd (took 30-40 minutes to stand in line). However, aside from entry and concessions--Great Day!
Awesome even for fans. 1st time fans allow to attend. Keep it open to fans in future. While I am not a fan of the two teams, my team is another one, the experience was teriffic.
Did not do assigned seating. Did not have enough earphone/headphones for people who showed up later and had tickets
To have the Super bowl in indpls was exciting enough but to be the first to be able to go to Media Day will be unforgettable!!!! Fun Day!
1st time ever, and in Indy 1st time for Super Bowl. I enjoyed it. Feeling the energy was awesome. I got to see a lot of famous people and got opportunties for autographs. Downside, 14 podem's, only 6 mic'd to the radio. All talking at once. Couldn't hear reporters questions.
I will be very interested to see how the NFL viewed the event. From this spectator's end, it went very well. The presence of 7,000 extra people did not seem to offer any additional challenges for the media. I do think the fact that Tom Brady was clearly shocked that we could hear him means that team members need better preparation should public viewing be allowed again. Brady did seem to enjoy playing with us a bit once he realized his audience was larger. Potential attendees should remember that this is not a fan event. There were no opportunities to meet players or get autographs. The swag bags were a very nice touch (who doesn't love free stuff?), especially the limited edition bag, itself. I think that people who went to share the experience were pleased. Anyone going for some kind of show were probably disappointed. I truly hope that the NFL will continue to offer this event in the future. The locals here are enjoying the chance to share in the festivities whenever possible.
A little unorganizated at the opening of the gates but once inside being upclose and able to listen in on the supplied radios really worked. Liked seeing Lucus Oil Stadium as it will be for the big game. Would have like to have a player fan opportunity for signing autographs.
It was absolutely worth the experience to see a little peek behind the scenes at the Super Bowl! I am very glad they opened it up to fans this year for the first time! Also, the funniest part was when Tom Brady heard a cheer from the crowd and said "Oh, you guys can hear me? I didn't realize that!" You could tell it was a new experience with fans being there this time even for a 5 time Super Bowl guy!
Individual radio receivers made it possible to move from one player/coach to another as they answered questions. Nice touch. The crowd was kept small and handled well. A good experience.
