Newsboys have released 17 albums over the last 18 years, six of which have gone certified gold. Their 2011 release entitled God's Not Dead produced two number one singles on the Christian CHR charts; "God's Not Dead (Like A Lion)" and "Your Love Never Fails." Newsboys fans order their tickets far in advance, anticipating the live concert experience the band is famous for. Audience participation ensues in the way of roaring sing-alongs and massive back and forth sway-alongs that are described as "powerful," "uplifting" and "affirming." The band tours extensively in an effort to reach out to all of their fans. After the September 2013 release of their latest album Restart, the band hit the road on a trip through 31 North American cities.
The band was founded in 1985 and fronted by John James until 1996, when Peter Fuhrler took over as singer until 2009. Michael Tait, the former singer of dc Talk is currently holding down vocal duties in what many are calling the band's most powerful lineup yet. Newsboys were first recognized by the Christian Rock world when they released their fourth studio album Not Ashamed. Their fifth album, Going Public won Dove award for Rock Album of the Year while the standout single "Shine" won a Dove Award for Rock Recorded Song of the Year. Their highest charting release came along in 2010, when their album Born Again debuted at number four on the Billboard Top 200. The band shows no signs of slowing down on their quest to spread their message, with a tour of over 58 cities set for 2014.
Ticketmaster was simple even for a tech challenged Gen x. The Newsboys concert was amazing! The joy Michael Tait exudes is palpable. The band couldn't be more fantastic. Worshiping God and celebrating with thousands of people, never to be forgotten and just a foretaste!!
no opening act needed as Newsboys performs from start to finish for 3 solid hours. Great times, comic relief, great praise and worship. Music and entertainment that only makes you want to have more and more. We went on the last night of the tour and will be going when they start up again.
Everything about the Newsboys' concert was phenomenal! The lights, the music, but, most importantly, experiencing Jesus with so many other believers. Definitely recommend their concert!
The band was perfect. But… all the cellphones in the air not so great! I’m tall and I still had issues seeing the band people hold their phones up video taping so their phones in the way of enjoying the band. Have some common sense and respect. If you take pics hold your phone down and point it up . Don’t hold it up so people can’t even see the band
Wonderful show done by the NEWSBOYS! This was our 4th time seeing them & they are always great! Love seeing Duncan Phillips play the drums on his spinning stage & fun light show! Thank you for sharing the love of Jesus Christ through your music! 🎶
The Newsboys always have put on a great show. A great set lineup and they really interact with the crowd. If you have never seen them in concert, you really owe it to yourself to check them out!
This was our first Newsboys concert and it was more than we imagined. From the ease of showing the tickets on the phone to the music and stage presence. Could not have asked for anything more.
Was impressed by Newsboys again this tour was all their set y like 28 songs. Tickets were priced very low which was great too. A great time and very inspirational to me.

I told my kids and their friend to this concert and it was an amazing night! Newsboys put on an incredible show that did not disappoint.
It was very uplifting to be able to worship with fellow believers and knowing that Jesus and the Holy Spirit was at work in the midst of all who attended. I brought a friend that never had ever heard of the group or been to one of their concerts before and she is 71 years old and she loved it. She is ready for our next adventure. I have taken her to Life light and this next year she will be going to Rise Fest. She has been to other concerts with me. Thank you for making this an enjoyable concert for her she is battling stage 4 liver cancer.
We love the Newsboys, old and new. The show was fun, but for me, the light show was way over done. We often had to close our eyes, and occasionally plug our ears do to the volume was a little over the top. In spite of that we probably would still go again
My wife and I brought 3 daughters and 12 grandkids to the concert. Everyone loved it. I didn’t think they could put on a better show than they did in 2015, but they did! The music is still amazing and the light show was also.
This was a great venue to watch my FAVORITE band. The only thing I wish I had known in advance, as it was my first time there, was that there was a clear bag policy and WHERE to park!!!! There were THREE parking garages and you couldn't really tell which door you were going to have to use to enter the arena. And the skywalk was closed and you didn't know that until you got all the way down there and the doors were locked. Other then that it was an AWESOME event!
Love the Newsboys and their music but the speaker Bob Lentz really took away from the night in my opinion. I am all for worship and ministry but when someone tries too hard it can come off as insincere and not authentic which is how it felt. The entire group I was with really wished his section of the night would have been omitted and would have preferred testimonies or more videos showing how Newsboys has impacted people.
Even though Newsboys were at a smaller venue, they brought the energy, fun, and overall amazing experience just like if there were playing at US Bank Stadium. We had the VIP experience, which was awesome to be able to meet the band and chat with them for a while. The show was first class in terms of execution and all the things one would expect from a Newsboys live event. They even pulled some from the crowd to help out with an old DC Talk song, played 29 of their songs and even some unexpected covers. Their rendition of U2's "one"was unbelievable. Worth the ticket price 100%.
Such an AWESOME show! My grandkids loved it! I can’t wait until they come back!

We had a great night with the Newsboys! The intimate setting of the Charleston Music Hall brought us up close and personal with the band and the music. Access to the event through Ticketmaster electronic tickets was smooth.
The show was absolutely incredible. The sound the light effects the music everything was awesome. They sounded exactly like their studio recorded music Live and in person. It was more than I ever could have expected
