NOTHING MORE IN CONCERT:

Rising nu metal act Nothing More continue to breathe new life into the genre with their sonically innovative production, virtuosic musicianship, and heart-pounding performances. In just a few short years the band has logged more than 500 shows, and it shows, each one an adrenaline-filled affair characterized by searing guitar riffs, snarling vocals, and a one-of-a-kind welded percussion platform that frontman Jonny Hawkins hammers as he stomps around the stage. Fans lucky enough to see anthems like "This is the Time (Ballast)" and "Jenny" performed live on Nothing More's upcoming tour dates will have the pleasure of experiencing a talented young band who also happen to be seasoned performers.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Texas-based nu metal outfit Nothing More is comprised of singer Jonny Hawkins, guitarist Mark Vollelunga, bassist Daniel Oliver, and drummer Paul O'Brien. The released their debut album Shelter in 2003, boarding a salvaged RV soon after for extensive touring in support of the release. From their earliest days the band has been explicitly committed to connecting with fans through next-level performances, and their electrifying live shows on the road quickly earned them a cult following. The band continued to grow their fanbase with the release of Vandura in 2006 and Save You/Save Me in 2007, but their biggest success to date came in 2014 with the release of their self-titled fourth album. That album drew praise from critics and fans alike for its sonic ambition and dynamic musicianship, drumming up big expectations for the band's upcoming tour dates.

    Spectacular!

by Hyde on 4/26/24Amphitheater at Las Colonias Park - Grand Junction

Amazing show. I can't get over how good they sounded! A lot of times you go to a concert and the performers just sound off. These guys sound EXACTLY like they do on their albums! If you get a chance to see them, you will not be disappointed! 10/10 would see again.

Wow. What’s a night. Not only did we see an incredible lineup that looked and sounded amazing, but the staff and crew at Las Colonias was amazing, friendly, helpful and kind. The show was efficient, no delays, perfect change overs, honestly, it was an absolutely perfect day, and I’m glad I had the chance to be part of it. :)

    Awesome show

by Dianachevelle on 4/23/24Stubb's Waller Creek Amphitheater - Austin

Show was overall amazing! Glad they didn't cancel because of the rain. Stubb's is a great venue. Was also worried it would get muddy but the gravel there prevents that from happening. Sound quality was incredible for being an outdoor venue. Wage War exceeded my expectations and Nothing More always brings the energy.

Worst concert I've ever been to

by Vio on 4/23/24Stubb's Waller Creek Amphitheater - Austin

The whole show should have been rescheduled due to 100% chance of storms. Instead, the concert time was moved up by 2 hours, Veil of Maya had so singer and played an instrumental set, and it started raining during Wage War's performance. I left during their set because the whole venue was outside. I did come prepared with a raincoat, but the whole concert should have not occurred on that day.

Would have been cool to see the entire show.

by Matt on 4/23/24Stubb's Waller Creek Amphitheater - Austin

Nothing More and Wage War were incredible. 10/10. The issue is moving the show up 3 hours earlier with only hours of notice. We missed half the show because of this stunt. Honestly, yall should be refunding people because of that. The forecast was out for days, yet you wait until day of to make a sudden change? Not cool.

    Great but…

by Kat on 4/23/24Stubb's Waller Creek Amphitheater - Austin

Nothing more was amazing. I’ve always wanted to see them live and it was great despite being cut short by the weather. Nothing against their performance, my review is about how the event was also changed the day of. It was moved up by a few hours due to the weather. It would’ve been nice to have more notice, although I was lucky to see the notification and be able to still make the show. It would’ve been nice if Ticketmaster offered a refund due to the last minute event change since it’s almost certain that some people weren’t able to make it. I would’ve wanted my money back if I hadn’t been able to attend. I realize that the weather was out of anyone’s control but it still would’ve been nice of the organizers to at least offer a partial refund for the time change and shorter performance.
