Stanley Cup Playoffs
UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long Island
We went for the Hurricanes/Islanders playoff game on Saturday and had a great time. Even though we were rooting for the other team, everyone working, including inside the pro shop was extremely friendly and helpful. The venue was very nice and pretty easy to get to. The Cross Island sucks, but that is not the fault of the team or the venue. Parking was straightforward and free shuttle was provided. Walking was also nice under a covered walkway, about 10 minutes. Entry into the venue was very fast even though I had a bag, although we did get there extra early to watch the teams warmup. Overall the experience was positive, and I would like to go back, but it's location poses a huge inconvenience for me

UBS is the place all Islander Fans dreamed of
UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long Island
UBS is a fantastic venue for the Islanders or any show. The concourses are spacious but there’s off the beaten path bars to have a quieter moment or you can hang out outdoors as well in the Park or the Heineken Terrace, which is unique amongst pro arenas. The food is also top notch (try the Ooh Lah Lah Steak - it’s worth it). Pricing is more reasonable than some other nearby venues (looking at you MSG) and it’s just better all around. The only detraction from the experience is the poor MTA management of trains after games. Getting home from Game 3 of 2024 playoffs was miserable for the minority of us West bound travelers. The MTA could not move enough eastbound people fast enough and I watched train after train go by because west bound customers were stuck in the crowd. There should be a dedicated path for people going to NYC and or Jamaica to catch connecting trains. As a kid growing up going to the Coli (which was a dump the day it opened but it was OUR dump), UBS is the shining dream that I never thought could come true. Mssrs Ledecky and Malkin have created something way beyond the sum of its parts here. It’s just great going to UBS.

A spectacular day at UBS Arena
Had a great time with my daughter at our first game at UBS Arena. Drove all the way from Melbourne, FL to see our favorite team, the New York Islanders in action. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the new arena is beautiful. Definitely will be back!!!!!!!!

A nice venue
UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long Island
Most of the newer venues I’ve been to are much nicer than the more “legacy” venues. This in particular was no different. I think “we’re” finally getting it right as it pertains to stadium expectations.. Overall, a good venue. Would definitely go back.

New York Islanders History
The New York Islanders, also known as the Isles, celebrated 50 years as a franchise during the 2022-2023 season. The New York Islanders took the ice for the first time in 1972 and forged one of sports' greatest dynasties less than a decade after the franchise's inception. The New York Islanders are one of only two NHL teams to win four straight Stanley Cup Championships, and their legendary run of 19 straight playoff series victories remains unmatched in professional sports.
GM Bill Torrey's brilliant drafting during the 1970s stocked the Islanders roster with some of the game's greatest players. Defenseman Denis Potvin, right wing Mike Bossy, center Bryan Trottier, goaltender Billy Smith, and left wing Clark Gillies powered the dynasty and went on to the Hall of Fame. Coach Al Arbour joined Torrey and his five players in the Hall of Fame after finishing his career fourth all-time in wins. New York Islanders legends Butch Goring, Bob Nystrom, and John Tonelli are also forever enshrined on the rafters at UBS Arena.

The design of the arena is inspired by iconic New York landmarks, including Central Park, Grand Central Terminal, and the Park Avenue Armory.
