New York Giants History
A cornerstone franchise of the National Football League, the New York Giants began play in 1925. Legally, the Giants are named “The New York Football Giants,” which distinguished them from the “New York Giants” baseball team that called New York their home until 1975, before moving to San Francisco.
As one of the most awarded franchises in history, the Giants have won eight league championships — including a victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI, their second in five seasons. The Giants (also known as the G-Men, the Jints and the Big Blue Wrecking Crew) are the only franchise in the NFL with a Super Bowl victory in each of the last four decades.

New York Giants at MetLife Stadium
The Giants are an institution with a storied history, and loyal fans can remember games at Yankees Stadium in the Bronx, Shea Stadium in Queens, the Yale Bowl, and Giants Stadium. MetLife Stadium, which became the Giants’ home stadium starting in 2010, is housed at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and is also home to the New York Jets, making it one of only two stadiums shared by two NFL teams.
The stadium cost approximately $1.6 billion to construct, which at the time made it the most expensive stadiums to be built in the U.S. With a capacity of 82,500, MetLife Stadium is one of the largest stadiums in the NFL. The stadium has hosted such major sporting events as the first outdoor, cold-weather Super Bowl XLVIII, Copa America Centenario Final, and the 2021 Army-Navy Game. It will also serve as a site for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The New York Giants schedule release video was uploaded on May 15, 2024. The video parodies the making-of a schedule release video. See if you can spot the Giants' two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Eli Manning and actor Glen Powell. You can watch the clip here.

The New York Giants' 2024-25 regular season kicks off in September at home against the Minnesota Vikings. Nice location and easy to reach via subway. Nice game but as an European you have to fill a form to get beer. (I am 27 btw). Additionally I have to fill the form whenever I went to a different guy at the venue. As an European this is utterly ridiculously. If you don’t have a passport you don’t get any beer at all. (13$ for 500 ml just that you know) Food is good. People are nice. Overall okay but cmon just be more thoughtful about your European nfl fans!
My husband and I had an amazing experience getting a chance to see his favorite team (LA RAMS) play and win the game.
It was great to see my favorite team Green Bay playing a local team. The seats were kinda tight but comfortable enough to watch the game. First time there was good and I would go again.
We had a great experience at the game. The emails that were sent out days before the game were very helpful. No problems with our tickets.
Upstairs seat at top of stadium, section 327/row 19 worked out ideally as the support structure for the lights held off the drenching rain from row 18 and above to top. While original season tickets, in section 128, were soaking so we alternated the combined seats to fight off rotten rain during rotten game.
Ensure you buy a parking pass, the cost is twice as much and you are twice as far
I came All the way from Austria to see an NFL Match. The Game was Not the best, But the people are very nice! The Seat was easy to find, the view was Good, evan at 307 row 12! It was easy to arrive and leave with the Bus. The Food and the American Beer is awfull and extensive!
First time at a football stadium. Really cool event.
