New Orleans Ballet Theatre Presents The Nutcracker Tickets

I love The nutcracker, and it is noticeable the people involved in this presentation made a significant effort to perform beautifully, and this time It was the audience who did not show manners as expected, silence seems to be hard for some people while watching the dancers, when is kids struggling to behave for long periods of times is understandable, but adults? any how… the first act was my favorite,’specially the opening. Well done Folks!

The dancers and costumes are magical. Each and every performer captured the spirit of Christmas in their beautiful movements. Great chemistry with the cast. I did miss the part where children come out from the big skirt - but the snowfall at the end of the first act was fantastic and unexpected. Attended with a beautiful child age 9 - she hasn’t stopped dancing!

Great time.. the show ran a decent length and the seating was perfect to see everything easily.

This was a special treat for my great-granddaughter and I to spend the afternoon together. It was lovely! The only thing I would change is that it would have been nice to have a usher show us to our seats.

The show was Amazing and we had a great time. However the seats were too close together and uncomfortable but with a theatre that old I don’t see improvements made on that part. That was the first show and trip to New Orleans for my sister and her daughter so all in all it was a great weekend.

Even though I’m a senior, this was my first experience viewing this ballet . It was an amazing display of artistry and athleticism! Tristan Hansen was notable in his heart warming presentation of the Snow King! Certainly planning another viewing soon. Kudos to everyone !

The dancing was absolutely beautiful! Wowed by this local ballet company, NOBT. The children in the show were precious and the Orpheum theater itself is a stunning place to take it all in! When the snow scene finished and intermission began, “snow” started falling over the audience much to the delight of the children (and adults!) This is a must see!

This entire experience was amazing!! The Orpheum is a beautiful theater and the production of the Nutcracker was outstanding!!

Beautiful, talented ensemble of dancers ranging from age 6 to Principal Dancers from the New Orleans Ballet Theatre and their school, Schramel Conservatory, so it appeals to the entire family. It may be the only night it really snows in New Orleans during the year, so don’t miss this beautifully choreographed ballet and grab those floor seats today! Trust me.

Theatre is beautiful, staff is very friendly and effective, and the performance was very well done. Absolutely wonderful way to kick off Christmas season. PS: Having the Roosevelt Hotel directly across the street and its Christmas decorations make for a nice bonus.

We enjoyed a beautiful, entertaining night at the Orpheum Theater. The Nutcracker was fantastic and the staff and performers were excellent.

The costumes were beautiful. The scenes were seamless. The dancing was incredible. We enjoyed the show very much.

I loved the show. The dancers we're wonderful. However, the Orpheum seats are only suitable for people 5'2 and under. I was extremely uncomfortable in my seat and sat sideways for most of the show, causing my leg/foot to fall asleep. Also, the stage light was dim and poorly placed. I am not sure if this was because of the venue, but it lessened the experience.

They ballet was wonderful. The venue was nice, but the stairs are very steep and the seating is crapped.

Very nice little production reasonably priced. The children were all talented and adorable. The adult leads were also quite good. My only qualification is the music ia recorded, not live orchestra.

The performers, who vary in age from the very young to adult professionals, were uniformly outstanding. The role of Clara was danced by a particularly wonderful young ballerina. Highly recommended.

The New Orleans Ballet did an outstanding job of presenting a timeless Christmas classic. Our family enjoyed the performance and highly recommend it to anyone who would like to see it.

This was my favorite performance of the Nutcracker, ever!
