NEW ORDER IN CONCERT:

As one of the most influential new wave bands of the '80s, New Order  brought electronic dance music to the forefront of mainstream consciousness, setting the tone for generations of music to come. EDM progenitors like "Blue Monday" and "Bizarre Love Triangle" sound as fresh today as they did 30 years ago, making the band a continued presence atop festival bills around the globe. Bernard Sumner and co. sounded as sharp as ever on tour in 2013, treating fans to an emotional Joy Division tribute during their encores and setting expectations sky high for their 2014 appearances.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed in the wake of legendary post-punk band Joy Division, New Order pressed on after  late-frontman Ian Curtis' suicide with a decidedly more optimistic sound than the group's Curtis-fronted incarnation. With former guitarist/keyboardist Bernard Sumner assuming vocal duties under the new moniker, New Order made their album debut in 1981 with Movement, breaking from the gravity of their previous work with buoyant tracks like "Dreams Never End." 1983 follow-up Power, Corruption & Lies really broke the mold, exploring a fusion of rock and early techno that brought them international fame and influenced much of the decade's ensuing music. Over nine studio albums, New Order have built one of the most beloved legacies in popular music, continuing to thrill awestruck fans both in the studio and on the road.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Bernard and company came with a lot of energy. Played lots of New Order faves and dug deep for some Joy Division chestnuts."

"Perfect show. They played all the hits and closed with a flawless three song Joy Division encore. They sounded great"

"New Order still has it!!! Saw them back in the 80's & this show was just as awesome!"

New Order gets better with age

by TTT on 11/18/23YouTube Theater - Inglewood

A great show great songs.New Order is still making great new music.I saw New Order in the eighties. they used too not much on stage great music.Bernard Sumner has become a great front man for the band. The greatness of Bernard is not being a perfect singer which makes him more sincere. A favorite band of mine for so many years.

Great show, great venue. Not a fan of Ticketmaster.

by AM on 6/23/23Climate Pledge Arena - Seattle

I went to see The Pet Shop Boys and New Order with a friend. The staff was friendly and helpful in pointing us towards our seat. We were in the front row of the highest balcony near the center and the visual and sound experiences were great! I didn’t need it but I appreciate that there is a sensory room available in the event of overwhelm. If there was more reasonable parking and I could attend a show without going through Ticketmaster, it would be a five star venue.

    LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE ‼️

by C.J. on 3/21/23Orpheum Theater - New Orleans

I have been a New Order fan for 40 years. In South Louisiana, in the early 80’s, we had very little access to that kind of music. I had friends & relatives in big cities that would enlighten me to bands, such as New Order, and I would ask the record store to order the albums for me. I never dreamed that I’d have the opportunity to see them LIVE, but the stars aligned, & 40 years later, it happened, in New Orleans. Excited, does not begin to describe my feelings, but knowing the guys are in their later years, I had no expectations, just happy to be going. Let me say, they delivered, so far above what I hoped, that it was MAGICAL ‼️ The energy in the room, that night, was indescribable. Amazing to think that they can perform at such a high level, at this point in their lives. It was one of the greatest shows, ever, for me, and brought on emotions, that I hadn’t felt in many years. I was also pleasantly surprised at the # of people 30 & below that attended, but probably should not have been. The age gap was probably mid 20’s to late 70’s. If you are an even a casual fan, I highly recommend attend one of their shows. One of the greatest nights of my life ‼️

They have had sound troubles in the past in NOLA but not this time. They sounded great. Only thing missing is Peter Hook.

    Music great! Venue just good.

by TXLEWI on 3/20/23713 Music Hall - Houston

New Order was fantastic and I appreciated having the opportunity to upgrade my seats. However, the table service at my upgraded seat was spotty at best. Also, I tried to go into the Kashmere club to get some drinks and it was a nightmare. Too crowded by the bar, too slow getting drinks out. I ended up going back out to the public bar and got my drinks quicker.

Glad to have a Fab new venue

by ArredondoGirl on 3/20/23713 Music Hall - Houston

Came to 713 Music Hall for the New Order show. First impressions: Everyone on staff, from entry staff to security and bar servers were Super friendly, positive and helpful! The venue is beautiful and well laid out. Sound was fantastic! Cons: I wish that the stage was up higher or that the Floor was graded up higher in the back so there was better visibility for all. Hard for us shorties to actually see the band. That being said I appreciate that there are screens behind the bar out front to be able to see the full stage show from there. Drinks were pricey, but that was expected. Overall we really enjoyed to experience. So happy to have Post Houston and the 713 and to see to much happening in this new space.

    Great Show!

by BAN526 on 3/19/23713 Music Hall - Houston

New Order put on a great show that featured their biggest hits, some newer material and some Joy Division covers in the encore. It was great to finally see this band after soooo long!

    The sound is awesome

by Jan Cee on 3/19/23713 Music Hall - Houston

The clarity of sound makes the venue good for concert. With too many people, the gates should be opened all after the concert caused there's too much people going thru the exit.

It was an incredible experience from parking to end of show.

by Todd on 3/19/23713 Music Hall - Houston

Parking was convenient as was exiting the event. New Order is always incredible. I saw them in October at the Hollywood Bowl and this was even better.
