Prudential Center is a beautiful venue and I usually enjoy attending events there. Unfortunately at this game we had to deal with the extremely loud and annoying crowd, especially the two goons we had the displeasure of sitting next to. Never going to a home opener again.

New Jersey Devils History
The New Jersey Devils were born in 1982, the third incarnation of a franchise that began as the Kansas City Scouts (1974-76) before spending six years in Denver as the Colorado Rockies. The arrival of president/general manager Lou Lamoriello in 1987 started the franchise's rise to the NHL elite. The Devils made the playoffs in 21 of the next 24 seasons, including five trips to the Stanley Cup Final.
The Devils made it as far as the conference finals in the 1987-1988 and 1993-1994 seasons, preparing them for their historic run the following year in which they won their first Stanley Cup Championship, sweeping the Detroit Red Wings.
The Devils returned to the Stanley Cup Final in 2000, dispatching the Dallas Stars in six games on an iconic double-overtime Cup-clinching goal by Jason Arnott. The next season, as the best offensive team in the NHL, they returned to the Final.
The Devils' stretch of dominance was far from over, though. They won their third Stanley Cup Championship in 2003, spoiling the Anaheim Ducks’ first-ever playoff run with a Game 7 shutout orchestrated by Martin Brodeur. To date, the club has won three Stanley Cup Championships and five Eastern Conference Championships.
In 2022, the Devils returned to the second round of the playoffs—their first time since 2011. Led by young stars Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier, the Devils defeated their long-time rivals the New York Rangers in the first round, before losing their next series to the Carolina Hurricanes.

great devil game....but
by cmk44 on 10/21/16Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5seats were awesome thank you ticketmaster...but overall the devils dropped the bomb the music in the arena was horrible during stoppage of play, there is no more score o or mighty mights during intermission,no devil dancers, there is nothing to do inside the arena anymore to do..set up air hockey games or bubble hockey.do something....the biggest disappointment for me is the goal song, for years it was the rock and roll song by gary glitter but when the new owners came in they stopped it cause the fans were saying hey you suck...the beer and food are at crazy prices and I refuse to spend any money there, thats why we eat before we get there...I probably wont go to another game its a shame cause I'm a diehard...love the game but hated the things the new owners cut out
Home Sweet Home
by Tiff149 on 10/21/16Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5I absolutely love the Devils & Prudential Center! The facility is clean, staff is great and it's a very easy venue to get to. There is a very wide variety of food and drinks (alcoholic & spirit-free) for those who attended. The Devils are my favorite sports team and performed well during their Home Opener!
RANGERS!
by swifty523 on 10/13/16Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5We had great seats and was right behind Ranta. I was very excited that I was able to sit so close even through it was preseason. I will be attending multiple other rangers games

Devils/Ranger game!
by luvbirds on 10/4/16Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5We had fantastic seats for this preseason game! We are Ranger fans, but live upstate NY, going to Newark on the train is very easy for us. The Devils fans were nice and we had a really great time.
Always a great time!
by JPeters23 on 10/4/16Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5For being a preseason game this was an amazing atmosphere!
Devils pre season game
by chikowga1 on 9/29/16Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 4 out of 5Was a fun night. People are very nice there at the food court, the store and the parking areas. The only complaint is, the food is way to expensive. $7 for a slice of pizza and $5.50 for a soda makes it way to expensive for a family to eat or snack there. Bring down your food and snack prices..
NJ DEVILS
by noname31 on 9/29/16Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5Prudential Center is beautiful. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking is pricey
Devils Rookies Face-Off
by eddoc10 on 7/25/16Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 4 out of 5Good experience gaining exposure to up and coming Devils players from Albany. Event was well organized in practice rink. Adequate seating and the ability to stand at the glass. Door prizes included for the event with lots of opportunities to win.
Scrimmage
by HotGizmo on 7/20/16Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5Fun Event. Really great to see the young talent play each other. Nathan Bastian, Michael McLeod and Mackenzie Blackwood give the Devils a bright Future. $5 Parking was a surprise as well. Would have liked to have the red / white teams switch ends for each half.
Devils youngsters rock
by pizzaguy65 on 7/19/16Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5It was great to watch the up & coming stars fighting for a position on the team. They played like the cup was on the line.

Too many advertisements!!!
by flufferKa42 on 4/3/16Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 2 out of 5I was excited to see the game but it just felt like the whole game was breaks, advertisements, and commercials! I was totally turned off! Ive been to NHL games before and they have never been so saturated with Ads. We ended up leaving early.
Great experience!
by koosman on 4/1/16Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 4 out of 5It was my wife's first NHL game and she loved it. She uses a wheelchair and everything was easily accessible including family bathrooms and food. Traffic was managed very well by the crew in the garage after the game. It was the first time I tried driving to the Arena and thought it would be a nightmare, but we couldn't believe how fast we got out!
Caps Escape The Atomic Wedgie
by gratefulupgrade on 3/29/16Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 3 out of 5Great Scott! The Wedgewall generated a lot of Devil fan enthusiasm. However, Caps played waayyy below what they are capable of; just doing the minimum. The injured Devils hobbling towards the playoffs, will they make it? Regardless, still a work in progress at The Rock.
Great Devil seats
by Saylmkr on 3/24/16Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 4 out of 5This event was for a first time child to see some Hockey. our seats were in a great place with no blocked views of the ice, He had a great time and now wants to learn to play. (that will pass) Ordering tickets were easy and finding our seats were simple. Great overall experience.
Great game, great experience

Penguins crush Devils
by dmack1968 on 3/9/16Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 4 out of 5I am a big Devils fan, but it was one of those nights where they did not play well and the Penguins took full advantage. They won 6-1 and it even wasn't that close. The food, arena and company was great and although the game was a blowout it was still exciting as Malkin had 2 goals and the Pens were feeding him the puck to possibly get a hat trick. It didn't happen, but looking forward to my next game and hopefully a better outcome.
