About

Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is the classic story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped in a spell placed by an enchantress.  If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

I would have given this a five star rating except there were some microphone problems that were a little distracting and we were unable to hear some of the lines.

    Great Show

by CAcomedyfan on 11/13/10William Saroyan Theatre Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center - Fresno

The show was amazing, I've seen it before and it was just as good as the first time. Only drawbacks were I wish the show was earlier because my kids were getting sleepy and the Saroyan Theater needs to be upgraded and add more restrooms.

    Thin Music

by Anonymous on 11/12/10William Saroyan Theatre Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center - Fresno

We thought the music was a little thin. There was not enough sound to support the actors. The cast did an excellent job, the numbers with the villagers was very well done. I'd think twice before going to see something there again. I miss the energy when you have the support of full muscial cast.

The show was wonderful. The scenery was fantastic. There were only three houses in the village, but the way they were moved around with the dancing and singing, it felt like a whole village. The castle was wonderful. The cast was also wonderful. We could understand all the words when they were talking or singing. The whole evening was such an enjoyable one. I was very sorry when it ended. Thanks for bring it to Fresno once again.

    Inappropriate for children

by Whydidyouhavetoruinit on 11/11/10William Saroyan Theatre Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center - Fresno

The set was exquisite. The voices and instrumentation beautiful. The acting well done. Loved the costuming. I would have rated it five stars... BUT!!! The sexual innuendos were absolutely unacceptable. There were many children who attended, with starry eyed little girls dressed as Belle. I would have been FURIOUS if I had brought my little girl and she had been exposed to Gaston promising adulterous affairs to the women of the village and inappropriate touching of the women, the various innuendos and movements made by Lumiere and Cogsworth, and the loose behavior of the French maid. This show would have been incredible without this "comic relief." The innuendos just cheapened and tainted what would have been a fabulous show that I would have recommended and watched over and over again! Clean it up!!!

    Great Show!!!

by Anonymous on 11/10/10Majestic Theatre - San Antonio

This show was absolutely amazing! The orchestra was great if I hadden't actually seen them playing I would have thought that I was pre-recorded, the music was so beautiful. I could say the same thing about the actors as well. They did such a fantastic job and their singing was so great that If I had not been actually there I would have believed someone if they said that it was all from a CD. The show was great and I would surley go back and see it again if it came again. Our seats were not the best in the house but the show was great none the less. I would definately recommend to anyone that is somewhat interested in seeing this show to go, especially if you love Beauty and the Beast this is a must see show!!

    Overall Our Family Enjoyed It

by happydawg on 10/22/10Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San Antonio

My wife had seen B&B on Broadway, so she was a little disappointed in the transformation scene, though understood the ldynamics of a traveling show. My daughter and I liked it, but in all fairness were a little tired from the long day on the San Antonio River. The biggest disappointment were the two ladies two rows infront of us that texted throughout the first act. If they had been one row closer, I would have delt with them. A must see... at least once.
