Denninghoff as Gaston for the win!!

by TheNicknamer on 8/31/11Oriental Theatre Chicago - Chicago

This show was so incredible. The opening number was a perfect live version of the movie and the excitement never stopped. Logan Denninghoff stole the show as Gaston and his crony LeFou played by Andrew Kruep nailed several cartoon-like falls and fight bits. Not a weak link in the cast. Some fun Broadway effects to boot that I wasn't expecting in a classic old-fashioned show like Beauty and the Beast.

    The highlight of my summer!

by Sabrinie on 8/11/11Oriental Theatre Chicago - Chicago

The Beauty and the Beast was absolutely phenomenal. It was cute, funny, sad, exciting, and everything else an absolute amazing show would be. I would go back a million more times if I had the time and funds. And getting to meet Emily (Belle) was so delightful. She's so dashing and polite.. and absolutely beautiful. I got to go backstage with my friend and experience being on the stage and learning about the props they've used and their inside jokes brings me back to our high school shows. I loved every second of it! Very well done Beauty and the Beast cast! <3

The musical was pretty good. There's something there for everyone. I thought the first act had much of the show stopping musical numbers whereas Act II just flew by without much to note. The Oriental Theatre is a beautiful place to see any play despite the small stage and if given the opportunity, I would probably see this again. Especially at this venue.

    Very Cute Show

by peachy754 on 8/9/11Oriental Theatre Chicago - Chicago

A very cute show, very nostalgic for me since I watched the Disney video a lot while I was growing up. Some of the actors were a little cheesy, but it's probably great for children.

    Up close and personal!

by NanaElf on 8/9/11Oriental Theatre Chicago - Chicago

It is really a shame that this was the last show in Chicago, because I would highly recommend seeing it - especially with orchestra seating! So incredibly well done. Bravo!
