    Neil deGrass Tyson

by A. S. on 10/31/19Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

This was our second time seeing Dr. Tyson and he does not disappoint! Time flew! It's such a joy listening to him - so much passion for what he does and intelligence. But never does one feel below him and his knowledge - he wants to spread the joy of learning!

Charismatic, no need to focus on No God....

by Medford on 10/28/19Chevalier Theatre - Medford

I was excited to see Neil, my friend really likes him, so I was excited to be able to take him, he lives with ALS so couldn't go on his own. Neil was charismatic, his new book's letter examples were the focus of the evening and he gave each attendee a copy of the book (NICE bonus!) Being of person of Faith & Science, it saddened me to hear him work hard to disprove faith. Seems like he could just focus on what he believes and let people make their own decision. I wish him PEACE...

    Wonderful Event.....

by Dave and Pam on 10/27/19Stifel Theatre - St. Louis

We attended the Neil degrease Tyson event in 2018 and 2019. Each show did not disappoint in anyway. This author and speaker can break down the most complex theories and items so that anyone can understand and relate to his subject matter. I absolutely LOVE this speaker. He is a real genius and gift to the world.

    A scientific view of society

by Tom on 10/25/19Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

Dr. Tyson is a unique scientist. He has this uncanny ability to take highly controversial topics in life that we humans deal with every day and apply the scientific method. His straight-forward approach to any subject is so refreshing. This event was outstanding because Dr. Tyson applied the rigors to science to life in a way that is inarguably fair and objective. As a Physicist, I would have enjoyed more from the realm of the Cosmos, but this was one of the most enjoyable two hours I have ever spent. I thoroughly enjoyed his talk about the mail that he has received and sent to so many people in all walks of life. It was a delightful and enlightening speech about things we all need to ponder.

Great, funny talk, and very personal.

by Mikaela on 10/25/19Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

Like the title of my experience. It was funnier than I thought. I was in the VIP section and noticed he wasn't wearing his shoes which were hilarious to me and some others who notice, classic NDT. It was his most personal books he's written so far and was so glad he shared it with us while educating the immediately diverse crowd that attended the event. The meet and greet could have been slightly longer for the price I paid but, nevertheless, I got a picture with him and had a short exchange of pleasantries. Wonderful man and happy I finally met him, I literally lived in NYC on the uws several blocks from the Hayden Planetarium / The Natural History museum (which is my favorite in all of NYC), and just never had the chance or time to visit the Planetarium show, thus is the life in NYC though. Funny that when I moved down here I got to meet him. Especially special to me because we are have the same alma mater.

    Fantastic Night

by J. L. on 10/25/19Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

This was my first time seeing Dr. Tyson, 2nd time visiting Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center. Both were phenomenal. Neil has a gravitas and energy that seeps through everything he says or talks about. He seems to genuinely care about the intellectual infrastructure of our culture and civilization. I would definitely go see Neil again if I could. Great night.

    Intelligence with character.

by Shino on 10/25/19Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

Neil was fantastic. For someone who already loves the sciences, he brings a new personality to them. And he does it in a way that everyone can enjoy, whether your a science geek or not. This was a great time and I'm really glad I went.

    Wanted More Science

    by Uniblab on 10/24/19

I'm still a fan of science and NDT, but I was expecting more. His current tour is more of a book tour where he discusses portions of his book. Much of it was based on correspondence with his fans through letters, which seemed disingenuous and almost as if it was all a show. There was a moment in his show that he started talking about 9/11 and living in New York and I let out an internal groan. 9/11 was 18 years ago and we're STILL talking about it. Furthermore, I thought it was irresponsible of a physicist to not question the collapse of the WTC Buildings including WTC Building 7. He actually supports the argument that the buildings collapsed due to fire unlike most other physicist. He also takes it one step further and tries to validate the implosion of WTC Building 7, that wasn't hit by a plane, collapsing due to jet fuel fire being sprayed from the planes impact through one of the towers. It was hard for me to hold me disagreement. I don't want to speculate on who imploded the WTC buildings, but they were definitely imploded. Grenfell Tower in West London was a towering inferno from top to bottom, but never fell yet we're supposed to believe three buildings built in the USA's main financial district of Manhattan couldn't withstand two air plane collisions. That's just ridiculous. I still like you NDT, because I feel science needs more representatives, but c'mon you're a physicist.

    Memorable evening

by Tim on 10/24/19Stifel Theatre - St. Louis

A fun memorable evening. I was a little disappointed because the whole 2 hour talk was mainly just human interest stories, and not much science subjects.
