About

NEEDTOBREATHE have spent over two decades developing a unique sound that blends elements of rock, country and Christian music. The South Carolina band was formed in 1998 by brothers Bear and Bo Rinehart. They expanded the outfit into a quartet and released a string of independent projects before debuting their first major label effort, Daylight, in 2006. NEEDTOBREATHE’s sophomore album The Heat (2007) marked the group’s first placement on the Billboard 200 and earned the group their first No. 1 on the Christian Airplay chart with the single, “Washed by the Water.” Their 2009 follow-up The Outsiders elevated the band, reaching gold certification from the RIAA, while 2011’s The Reckoning marked more crossover success after notching their first No. 1 on the Top Rock Albums chart. With 2014’s Rivers in the Wasteland, NEEDTOBREATHE broke into the Hot 100 thanks to the Gavin DeGraw collaborative song “Brother.” The single “Multiplied” led to the band’s first Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song. NEEDTOBREATHE reached a career peak at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 2016’s Hard Love. In 2020, the group announced the departure of Bo Rinehart and have since released three studio albums as a quintet with Bear, Seth Bolt, Josh Lovelace, Randall Harris and Tyler Burkum.

    Incredible band to see live!

by Shane on 11/16/23The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

I love needtobreathe and I’ve always heard that they are amazing live, so needless to say my expectations were high. They met and exceeded every one. It’s clear that every member is talented and they keep you on your toes and entertained. Bear’s vocal’s are ridiculously good. Cool set and production. Nothing but good things to say!

    Had a blast!

by Great band on 11/16/23The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

Was a great show and the venue was amazing! I only have one complaint that I thought I had paid extra for a backstage experience and even had an email as such but it was only early entry and swag bag. I was disappointed about that. Won’t pay for that again

Horrible experience not worth the $$$

by CC on 11/16/23The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

I purchase the VIP Ultimate experience for the event at The MET in Philly, paid for VIP Parking event started at 4:45 but lot didn't open to 6:00 PM so could park wasted $50. Dint get any communication for agenda til day of event even after calling multiple times, Text host number with questions day of which was instructions of what to do and never heard back all day or night. Concert great but event was terrible and how live nation handled it was worst experience I have ever had.

    Impressive

by Parmesean on 11/16/23The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

Was a casual fan and went with my daughter as a gift to her. I am definitely a fan now. I don’t think thier albums do them justice. NTB is a live band for sure! I will be looking forward to seeing them again!

    MUST READ

by Ntbfan on 11/16/23The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

NEEDTOBREATHE puts on the best shows. It’s a shame when the venue you go to has big columns that obstruct the view of the stage.

    Fast Pass Lane

by Jess on 11/15/23MGM Music Hall at Fenway - Boston

Ticketmaster has always been great but when I purchased my recent tickets I was prompted and convinced to buy a fast pass addition to my ticket. With electronic tickets there really is no need for this pass as there was no line. I’m assuming it might be beneficial for those who have floor seats and want to get in early to squeeze up front. I bought second floor tickets and am bummed I wasted over a hundred dollars on a fast pass I never used.

    Fabulous show

by Jeanne on 11/15/23MGM Music Hall at Fenway - Boston

NeedToBreathe put on an excellent show on Saturday. The song list covered all of their albums, and they had the house rocking from start to finish. Can’t wait to go see them again!

    Awesome Band!

by CK on 11/15/23MGM Music Hall at Fenway - Boston

I have been a Needtobreathe fan for 15-ish years but haven’t got to see them live since 2014. I finally got to see then again in Boston and they put on an awesome show as always! It was a good mix of old and new songs and the production was clean and professional. They really let the music shine and I highly recommend seeing them if the opportunity arises!

A Truly Great Place for a Show

by skeeto5000 on 11/14/23MGM Music Hall at Fenway - Boston

Every seat has a great view. The venue is much smaller than the images convey. The seats are small and borderline uncomfortable. I’m 5’ 9’, 220lbs and I just barely made it through without blood clots forming in both legs. The show itself was fantastic, but 2 songs too long. I had to leave early.

    Legit!

by Kurt on 11/14/23MGM Music Hall at Fenway - Boston

It’s about time these two bands linked up!! Performances were incredible and exactly what we hoped. They give it their all, as usual. Dancing and singing down on the floor with the common folk as they usually do. I wish they played more songs together bc I love everything both bands put out there.

    Boss

by JBo on 11/14/23MGM Music Hall at Fenway - Boston

Judah and the Lion were an awesome opening act! Would definitely pay to see them again! I enjoyed Needtobreathe except the fact they didn’t sing the biggest song that put them on the map many yrs ago. “something beaitiful” I was very much looking forward to watching it performed live. Otherwise they were decent act, just know that AcDC wouldn’t play a show without singing back in black!

Standing room only had no view

by Big fan on 11/14/23MGM Music Hall at Fenway - Boston

Brought my 13 year old son and his two friends. We had tickets for SRO in second tier. The back row of seats was situated a foot higher than where we were standing, so when people stood we were looking at the middle of their backs (which was the entire concert). We spent $55 per ticket and couldn’t see a darn thing. These tickets should not be sold or it should have said “view completely obscured”.

    Crazy good night

by Big Fan on 11/14/23MGM Music Hall at Fenway - Boston

I had no idea who the opening act was going to be but Judah and the Lion was phenomenal. Their energy was unmatched and so much fun. I loved the positive messages. Needtobreathe was over the top as well. One of my favorite bands who knows how to rock!
