The Bay Area's first family of rock music delighted a packed Fillmore with a healthy set of guitar chops last night - Young and old patrons cheered wildly as Neal Schon showed he is timeless- The band was super tight and son Miles lives up to his lineage as a big shot in his own right.. Great show- Amazing licks- Five Stars !!

    Neak Schon Group

by GooMan on 3/28/10The Fillmore - San Francisco

Neal Schon’s all star group put on a powerful performance. Great sound mix and fantastic choice of material. Started the show with Journey’s “Kohoutex“ and ended with Jeff beck‘s “Going Down‘’. The rhythm of Marco Mendoza and Parrie Prince worked together like rum and coke. His son Miles Schon performed before the show, and then again with Neal, proved the talent apple does not fall far from the tree. Neal Schon’s ability to not only to improvise , but to grow as a musician has influenced the music culture over the last thirty-five years . He is playing better then he ever has.

    Father and Son...the Schons rocked

by DrJackB on 3/28/10The Fillmore - San Francisco

The Fillmore: an historic venue whose past is verified by the incredible photographs that adorn the lobby walls. The staff at Neal Schon's concert could not have been any more accommodating or friendly. The Fillmore remains a delightful and comfortable place for those of us who visited as youths. To say that Neal Schon is an amazing guitarist is a major understatement. He plays without effort...his timing and professionalism are obvious. While his talent is unsurpassed, he remains humble on stage, allowing others in the band to shine. Last night, the stage was graced with Neal and his son, Miles, who opened the show with a short set. The surprise was when Miles remained on stage and played with his dad for the entire concert, sharing leads with him and at times playing lead in unison. To watch Neal's face light up when Miles riffed with truly delightful. Neal has not lost a modicum of guitar ability...in fact, he now seems smoother and more comfortable. A wonderful show.
