About

The NCAA Women's Basketball Championship, also called March Madness, is an annual tournament that crowns the National Champion for Division I women’s basketball. Launched in 1982, the championship follows a single-elimination format, with 68 teams divided among four brackets and ranked between first and sixteenth. After the seeding announcements on Selection Sunday, the tournament begins with the First Four games, followed by the First and Second Rounds, Sweet 16, Elite Eight, Final Four and the National Championship game. For the 2025 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship, the First Four games tip off on March 19 and 20. The Sweet 16 round will be hosted between Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama and Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena in Spokane, Washington from March 28 to 31, while the Elite Eight, Final Four and National Championship game will be played at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. Building on the hype and record-breaking viewership of the 2024 championship game between the reigning champion South Carolina Gamecocks and Iowa Hawkeyes, the 2025 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship will take place on April 6.

It was overall a good game. Just to bad the Bucks couldn't pull a W.

  • Fantastic Venue

What a great Basketball. Venue. Not a bad seat in the house. Beautiful new arena with good seating. Love this place but the wrong team won.

Good turnout of fans from most venues, too bad a couple of teams had to share their women fans with the men's. Our seats were not good as their were right behind the goal posts.

  • Disappointing loss

Organized- not enough vendors for products- Good music

The games were quite exciting; however, more people should come out to cheer on all the out of state teams, not only the home team. If the fans stay home, the NCAA may find other venues where more people show up. Two games for 1 low price? More than worth the money!

  • Two great games on one ticket!

most important for basketball families were the affordable tickets getting to see high quality teams like Green Bay and Kentucky super bonus looking at venue from our seats would judge that bad seats would be hard to find

ISU did an incredible job hosing Round One of the NCAA Women's Tournament. I am a Hawkeye Fan but thought the experience locally was a great opportunity and was it ever. I was cheering for the underdogs and they both lost, but the experience and environment was great. Can't wait to attend the regionals in Des Moines Next week. Gave tonights seats to a needy Kentucky fan..:-)

  • Women's Regional Basketball was great

NCAA Women's Regional Basketball Tournament was great to attend. I attended with my daughter and she was thrilled by the games. The cost of the tickets to the two sessions (3 games) is a super value. I hope that Dallas and the AAC get to host the Women's Final Four.

  • Great game, major upset in final!!

    by Biscuit22 on 3/31/11American Airlines Center - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

The semi's were somewhat boring.....Georgia game was a blowout! Baylor got out played in the final; Brittiny could not hit anything & officials were less than consistent. Overall worth the money!

The game should have been a showcase for women's basketball but the game was disappointingly sloppy. The ticket and arena ecperience were fine but I expected better play from two of the best teams in the country.

The atmospere was very inviting and exciting. Beverages for adults need to be sold.

  • by westtxgal on 3/31/11American Airlines Center - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

Open facility an hour and a half before event. One hour does not allow enough time for fans to get food, souveniers etc. Have some food prepared when doors open. Friendly service was appreciated. Seats were comfortable.

  • Great Finish!!!
