About

The NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, also known as March Madness, is the annual Division I Men’s Basketball tournament that began in 1939. Composed of 68 men’s college basketball teams across the U.S., the highly-anticipated competition determines the National Champion through a series of single-elimination games over three weeks. The tournament format follows four regional brackets with teams ranked from one to 16, plus an additional eight teams competing to claim the last four main bracket slots during the First Four Games. For the 2025 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, the First Four games start on March 18 and 19, followed by the First and Second Rounds between March 20 and 23, Sweet Sixteen on March 27 and 28 and Elite Eight on March 29 and 30. For the fifth time, the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas will host the Final Four and National Championship games, on April 5 and 7 respectively.

  • JAX Madness Is Awesome!

    by B. R. on 3/24/19Vystar Veterans Arena - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The NCAA purs on a fantastic event. The first game started on time. There was much fun entertainment with bands, mascots, and cheer squads, plus showed ither games at halftime. We had two-game session tickets. They had everyone for second game in place after half time of the first game, so no delay.

  • Great games!

by Dave and Nanette on 3/24/19Vystar Veterans Arena - JacksonvilleRating: 4 out of 5

The games were great! Lots of energy and great excitement as the "underdogs" gave the higher rated teams a real fight. The arena is a great venue, except the food choices were terrible. Hamburgers and hot dogs were it. If you happen to want healthier choices (like me) there are none. Beer selection is likewise completely boring. And that is unacceptable in a town with amazing local brews offered EVERYWHERE else (including the stadiums next door) except here. So I grade an A+ on the event, and a generous C- for the food and beverage offerings. Come on Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena, step it up a notch!!

Awesome First and Second Rounds tournament. It was awesome having Kentucky and Wofford playing in Jacksonville. We had been wanting to see both of these teams play...

In the VIP area - need to add more tables and might want to add another VIP area instead of having just one which can get very crowded

great event and well done by the city of Jacksonville

  • Good experience overall

by Don’t Fire Mike White on 3/24/19Vystar Veterans Arena - JacksonvilleRating: 3 out of 5

Not a bad seat in the arena. The upper deck would be considered 2nd level in some arenas. The video board needs to be bigger though. Concession prices too high - paid $48 for my son and I for ‘lunch.’ Great games, so overall the experience was good.

  • Awesome Basketball Experience

by Greg Holt on 3/24/19Vystar Veterans Arena - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The city of Jacksonville did a great job hosting this event, all of the fans seemed to really enjoy themselves. I’m hoping this becomes an annual event!!!

  • Vystar Veterans Arena, Jacksonville, FL. is EXCELLENT!!

by CarleneHaley Big Blue Nation on 3/24/19Vystar Veterans Arena - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Went to the NCAA 1st and 2nd Round Tourney Thursday and Saturday. I went straight to the ticket office and gave my driver's license and fast tickets in my hand. I didn't see restaurants outside, but they had had it all at the FOOD COURT. Easy access in and out. Seats were great. Parking was great and easy to get too. Lot of room outside to walk around. Really enjoyed this atmosphere. Will be BACK!!!

  • Pretty good , venue needs work

by Hartg on 3/24/19Vystar Veterans Arena - JacksonvilleRating: 4 out of 5

The NCAA tournament it is what it is. College basketball and if you like that then it is good. The venue itself needs some work. We were not able to access the wi-fi at the arena which meant using the rest of the content from the NCAA tournament online was very difficult as the signal inside the arena was spotty. Ridiculous that that is the case in 2019. Unlimited food and drink choices at the arena. They ran out of draft beers on the second session and often a concession stand would not have the beers that were represented on the menu. Standard hot dog hamburger and popcorn and very little variety from that. Considering you're forced to stay inside the arena between the first and second games the choices inside the arena should be greatly improved. Along that note, there were many employees working and that was a good thing but that also means they have the manpower to cover people re-entering with the ticket they had used to enter in the first place. Scanning a ticket to see that it was used a second time would not be difficult.

  • Seat view

    by m. V. on 3/23/19University of Dayton Arena - DaytonRating: 2 out of 5

I was very disappointed with the view from my seat. My husband a I paid more money to be closer to the court, but our seats had an impeding view. There was a rail with plexiglas glass blocking part of the court for any of us sitting in this area. The arena would have been better off putting a full sheet of plexiglas in that location.

  • First Four - Great Family Event

by JennKay on 3/22/19University of Dayton Arena - DaytonRating: 5 out of 5

The First Four is a fantastic family event. Open practices, four excellent basketball games and an atmosphere that you can only get at UD Arena. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves college basketball. So much fun!!

  • Overpriced seats

by MicheleRainieri on 3/28/18Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San DiegoRating: 1 out of 5

If you purchases bleacher seats like I did they were extremely overpriced by the Not Caring About Athletes (NCAA). What a racket.

  • San Diego

by Anonymous on 3/27/18Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San DiegoRating: 4 out of 5

My bother and I had a great experience in San Diego. The Viejas Arena was "old style" bowl, which was awesome. We had great seats and the size (under 12,000) was terrific for this event. It was a little tight to walk between games, but having all the concessions outside just added to the experience. It was easy to get in and out of the location and all staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend that this venue host again!

  • NCAA Policy not followed

by Anonymous on 3/27/18Philips Arena - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

Venue was great for food - good variety! Drawback was the usher in our area did not follow NCAA policy - a fan was belligerent (cussing and even kicking the row in front of him) and when we spoke to the usher the only thing he did was offer WORSE seats to us. NCAA policy states this WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. If you can't do your job find one you can do, my friend. When it got to kicking chairs, it had gone too far!

  • 2018 NCAA SOUTH REGIONAL FINALS

by camnorb on 3/27/18Philips Arena - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Philips Arena was a great venue. I suggest you travel by MARTA, as the stop is at the Arena doors! Every seat appears to be excellent viewing. Attendants were very user friendly in assistance. Can’t wait for a return for another March Madness!

  • Purse

by Czbgds on 3/27/18CenturyLink Center Omaha - OmahaRating: 4 out of 5

Basketball games were fabulous! I wish the NCAA would have communicated the clear bag policy more broadly. I was unaware of it & had to throw my purse away at the game. No fun

  • All 3 Games

by uncchblkman on 3/27/18Philips Arena - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

All of them games were close and competitive. Loyola of Chicago vs Nevada, Kentucky vs Kansas State and Loyola of Chicago vs Kansas State with the underdogs Loyola of Chicago winning the regional. Excellent job Atlanta.
