Nazareth has always been one of my favorite bands. I caught 4 of their shows and really enjoyed each and every one of them. They were in top form with excellent musicianship and vocals! I love all the songs they played; will keep that a surprise! Lead singer Karl Sentence is a great vocalist and entertainer and interacts with the audience a lot, jokes around and makes it really fun! Founding member Pete Agnew Bassist is great as ever as is Guitarist Extraordinaire Guitarist extraordinare Jimmy Murrison. Drummer Lee Agnew who brings power and energy to the show with his exceptional drumming skills. If you are able to see Nazareth, I would highly recommend catching this show!
Fun time. Lead singer did well covering original. Nice venue. Had a good time rocking out!
Although I had heard and enjoyed the music of Nazareth for years, this was my first live performance. The musicianship was top notch. Well done!
Did not know the lead singer had died before I bought the tickets and hotel reservation. Went and hoped for the best. Not really close to the original but not bad for a cheap cover band. Would not go again.
Band rocked ! This was a group of older men but they sounded great ! The crowd was an older group but I’m no spring chicken myself lol will definitely be attending more concerts
The show was GREAT! Nazareth took me back in time, and filled my music lovin heart with happiness.❤️👏
It was great. They put on an EXCELLENT concert. We will go see them again. I like how they stuck around and gave autographs.
It has always been on my Bucket List to see this AWESOME band,,,, But I really wanted a concert tshirt to wear proudly..... Never been to a concert where the band didnt sell ANYTHING. was a big disappointment, But opening band was Great and I did by there shirts.....
Was a great venue, great band, bit on the older side but nothing wrong with that. Had some technical issues starting out but it happens sometimes. The guitarist was absolutely amazing, he made that guitar talk when he played! The lead singer was a bit over the top but he made his original listeners feel loved lol wish there would’ve been a bigger crowd tho, just because the band deserved more praise than we could give.
Great. Night of music 3 good bands Nazareth, Red Reign, Sik Vikki On the floor as close as possible
Honestly, I truly enjoyed the atmosphere, and the performances of the first 3 acts got better with each subsequent band. I knew right away that Nazareth was in tough after the great performance put on by Streetheart! A lot of the performance by Nazareth felt like a blend of Rob Halford and Bruce Dickensen, both fantastic performers in their own right! Was just looking for that old time raspy wail of Dan McCafferty! Alas, all good things must come to an end someday. It just kind of felt out of place to me.
It was just great to hear the bands outside and see some old friends from Churchill Manitoba. Not to mention Nazareth who put on an amazing performance. But all we’re great! Thanks for a awesome night.
I enjoyed the outdoor concert with the Wpg Skyline in the background of the stage. The crowd all seemed to be having a good time. Although the prices of drinks and food were outrageous as usual but I’m sure there’s good reasoning for that. I would attend again and hopefully some newer bands/artists will be headlining next time.
Bumped into a a lot of old friends tried some food and they should have concerts like this all summer
Great event, great set up, the Burt Block Parties are outstanding. Curious choice of why Nazareth were the headliner vs Winnipeg’s own Streetheart who stole the show. The Headpins and Orphan were great too. Nazareth was terrible, it’s time for them to retire and bask in our memories.
Everything was excellent , need to do this more often, hats off to you all for putting up a great show
I have seen Nazereth many times but this is the last. There is only one guy who is from the band, the rest are new. The lead singer screams and wrecks all the songs which is so sad. They play the songs the same but terrible the way they're sung. The good songs from Nazereth were never played.
Nazareth was ok. I wish i had seen them with the original singer . Prism was incredible i was super pumped to get to see them Originally the headpin were to play .i wanted to see them But prism made the event!
I was one of the very first ticket purchasers when Nazareth first went online for sale. This was the nearest venue to Portland Oregon I had seen in a very long time. I knew that Canada would have a major holiday around the time of the event and reserved hotel rooms early. Caught a couple of down pour rain showers but had a great time visiting and exploring Vancouver, BC! The biggest concern was when we got inside. We were one of the first, not even around the corner from the entrance to the Commodore Ballroom. When we got inside we discovered that MOST of the chairs were pushed forward and reserved signs on the tables! What is more is that Security enforced this restrictive environment. There were still some 20-25 chairs pushed forward until late in the opener's set. How does one secure reserved chairs in a General Admission show? They had names and not any matching number system from the tickets!? Obviously this Out-of-Towner didn't figure this out... Further, the balcony was closed and additional seating denied to us poor schmucks, stuck standing for hours. When we got in line to see the show, a staff employee for Commodore Ballroom walked the line to let everyone know that it was a no smoking event. Just wished security had been as vigilant in enforcing inside... many individuals were lighting up. My spouse has asthma issues and the clouds of reefer smoke was not much appreciated...
