    Such an Experience!!!

by Lisa on 12/6/23Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino - Mashantucket

The viewing of Christmas Vacation at Foxwoods Resorts in CT was incredible! I have watched this movie hundreds of times since my teens, but I have never experienced watching it like this. Every seat in the theater was a great seat with no blockage of the giant screen. The sound was spectacular! Watching the movie with so many other people, with all of us laughing at the same places, even saying, word-for-word, certain scenes that are and always will be epic! I am so glad I made the trip out to Foxwoods to experience this. Chevy Chase is such a classy guy and I am so happy I had this chance to meet him! Thank you Foxwoods for booking this event and thank you Chevy Chase for being the awesome actor and man you are!!

    Save your money

by Danertot on 12/5/23Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino - Mashantucket

Chevy is a bit old to be doing this. He only answered 4 audience questions and went off topic with every one of them. Very disappointed.

    Awkward

by Emily on 12/5/23Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino - Mashantucket

I’ll start with the good… Honestly this was a really cool experience that I’m not sure I’ll ever get again. The venue was so small that it really felt like you were one on one with Chevy. The bad… Chevy is NOT what you’d expect. He’s just older now so it was awkward to watch him try to answer the questions. He brings his wife out to help him and that’s nice. Overall I’m glad I went but definitely was not what I expected.

    Foxwoods Should consider refunds

by Disappointed on 12/5/23Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino - Mashantucket

Of course, the movie was great… Chevy Chase is an icon and his wife is lovely. As the spouse of a dementia, patient… Didn’t think the Q and A was worth $90 ticket price. Foxwoods should consider refunds. My husband, who attended as a birthday gift from me +2 other people… and who is unfortunately in the position Chevy appeared to be in, has a enough of his wits about him to have been very disappointed in the show… That’s the last thing we needed, especially for a birthday gift. It was said to me that it’s good that Chevy is still out there and part of society, and there is no shame in his cognitive decline, I agree, but we should’ve at least been made aware at some point of what we were walking into. $400 was pretty steep just to see the movie.

    A must for true fans!

by The Big Cheese on 12/5/23Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino - Mashantucket

There is nothing like seeing a classic movie in a theater with a live audience. Brings the movie to life. I was able to share this amazing experience with my father who taught me everything I know about exterior lighting and introduced me to this American classic! Chevy gets confused and distracted easily as well as has trouble hearing but he is 80 years old so it's understandable. Once the moderator or his wife refocused him his stories and personality shine through!

    The Movie was Great, But

by GJ on 12/3/23Chevalier Theatre - Medford

Chevy was very disappointing. At first, we thought his antics were part of the act but then we realized that he just wasn’t with it. His dependence on his wife, his lack of coherent answers and his bad choices of subject matters resulted in many attendees leaving very early, especially those with younger and teenage children.

    Hilarious

by betheball on 12/3/23Chevalier Theatre - Medford

Fantastic evening. First it was hilarious to watch the movie and hear a thousand other fans repeat in unison some of the movie's iconic lines. Chevy came out after for about 40 minutes of Q&A. His stories and anecdotes were interesting and funny. He will say some things that will offend some people....it's Chevy Chase. And yes he forgets a name or word here and there being 80 years old but he's very entertaining.

Fun night mixed with cringeworthy moments

    by Gigi on 12/3/23

I’ll start with saying Christmas Vacation is one of my favorite movies. I’ll add Chevy Chase is one of my favorite comedians. I’m 53 & grew up with Chevy on SNL, Caddyshack, Fletch & many other of his movies. I was a big Chevy Chase fan. The night was fun & festive. A lot of the audience dressed in Griswold shirts ,Christmas pjs and sweaters. However when Chevy came on he would have to look to his wife for help with questions. He would forget what he’s saying mid sentence. He called Randy Quaid a fairy at one point. I’m sure that was supposed to be funny yet awkward in this day and age. He insulted the audience a few times saying what a horrible audience we were to the point his wife said no they aren’t Chevy. It would be funny said once. He also called people out for leaving. Again funny the first couple times. After that cringeworthy. All and all like I said cringeworthy. I still love his movies and get that he’s aging & has memory issues but won’t be back for this show. I’d rather not pay over 80 dollars for a movie I’ve seen dozens of time then get insulted & listen to him insult others & forget what he’s saying mid sentence.

Wouldn’t call that a “meet and greet”

    by Birthday gift on 8/2/23

Never received photos for the meet and greet, and you weren’t even allowed to talk to him. Pretty expensive ticket to not get any extras.

    Lost photos

by C. F. on 12/29/22Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino - Mashantucket

Everything was good but they never sent out my photos for my meet and greet. It's been almost a month. With only having 50 people in our group, and there were only 2 groups, how do you not gave the photos available? I got my santa photos digital download 15 mins after the photo was taken. Confirm with hosting venue before shelling out money for extras.

A new Christmas tradition is born!

by Robin on 12/25/22Alabama Theatre - Birmingham

Our first time to come to a Christmas movie at the Alabama! It was SO much fun! Packed house made it even more fun with all the costumes, laughter, applause! And of course the theater was decorated beautifully!

    Lackluster Q&A

by Rich on 12/20/22Tropicana Showroom at Tropicana Atlantic City - Atlantic City

It was good to see the show, but poor Chevy Chase seems too old to be on stage. He was confused throughout the Q&A and couldn’t hold the microphone.

Movie was fun with an audience. The Q&A w/Chevy. Not so much

Movie was great. Chevy’s appearance was a little dissapoint

by Frank F on 12/20/22Tropicana Showroom at Tropicana Atlantic City - Atlantic City

Looked forward to wonderful seats up front. No indication given of no handicap accessibility. Had to sit in the back where handicap seats were as my Father is in a wheelchair. It is unconscionable in this era that this could happen. I made contact with two different ushers as well as one of them contacting their supervisor who could only offer for all 7 of us to sit in the back. Long story short, our Row E seats that we paid top dollar for went unused and we could barely even see Chevy Chase from our vantage point. Very disappointing as well as embarrassing for my Father. Do better Ticketmaster and Tropicana.

    Christmas Vacation

by Christmas Vacation on 12/20/22Tropicana Showroom at Tropicana Atlantic City - Atlantic City

Yes we get it, poor Chevy isn't that young dude in the movie. But it was so much fun. People dressing in pj's, or like cousin Eddy. Shouting out Play Ball! Could this be an annual event, like Rocky Horror? Seat location was amazing but worse than airline seats

    Lackluster at Best.

by Santa on 12/20/22Tropicana Showroom at Tropicana Atlantic City - Atlantic City

Of course it was enjoyable to once again see National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation on the big screen, as it certainly has earned its rank as a Christmas classic over the last 32 years; however, the question and answer session with Chevy Chase and (unexpectedly) Janie Chase left much to be desired. It was more like a visit with the Grinch, than the Clark Griswold we have all come to love. It was obvious that the years have taken a toll on Chase’s enthusiasm as an entertainer and comedian. Several of the “canned” questions were wonderfully fielded by his wife, Janie, as her husband’s ability to answer was often off the mark. It was obvious early on, that Janie was there to save Chevy from completely embarrassing himself and the evening’s program. Throughout the evening the film’s star appeared confused or indifferent about the questions and the kind-spirited spontaneous comments from the adoring audience. His ability to emphatically react to a question was surprisingly poor. I only wish Chevy’s time on stage (which was only an hour) was met with the same enthusiasm and vigor as the gentlemen in the hallway peddling Chase’s overpriced souvenirs. Unfortunately, the evening left a bitter taste in my mouth as it validated Chase’s reputation as an often bitter celebrity as opposed to his glory years when he was at the top of SNL’s Not Ready for Prime Time Players.

    State Theater

by Jackie on 12/20/22Kalamazoo State Theatre - Kalamazoo

We see National Lampoons Christmas Vacation almost every year, and we love it at the State Theater in Kalamazoo. It’s a fun holiday tradition you can enjoy as a date night or with the whole family.
