About

Comedian Nate Bargatze’s clean-cut and relatable humor is why The Atlantic called him “The Nicest Man in Stand-Up.” The Nashville, Tennessee native and host of the Nateland podcast found his voice in the mid-2000s with regular appearances on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Bargatze was featured on Jimmy Fallon's Clean Cut Comedy Tour in 2013, three years after he was named “New York's Funniest Stand-Up” at the New York Comedy Festival. Since then, Bargatze has been selling out arenas on solo tours and has opened for comedy icons like Chris Rock. Bargatze’s signature deadpan delivery was showcased in his 2021 Netflix special, The Greatest Average American, which earned a Grammy Award nomination for the coinciding comedy album. His 2023 Amazon Prime special Nate Bargatze: Hello World became the most-streamed original comedy special debut in Prime history — with 2.9 million viewers in its first 28 days — culminating in Bargatze breaking the attendance record for Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.

Second opportunity to see Nate’s show!

by Loy on 2/6/22Pensacola Saenger Theatre - Pensacola

This was the second time I have attended a Nate Bargatze live show. Both shows had 2 warm up acts and we really enjoyed them. Nate’s jokes are very relatable to me as a 43 year old male, but my wife and 12 year old daughter love his show as well. We had a great time.

    Laughs Without Lewdness

by WHK on 2/6/22Pensacola Saenger Theatre - Pensacola

Nate Bargatze (the headliner) and both of the evening's opening comedians are skilled at the craft of comedy. They relied on topic, timing, and tasteful word choice to deliver unexpected connecting punches that landed one after another. The audience ranged from younger "tweens" to nostalgic "hippies" to "church-goin' rednecks". We responded warmly to the non-threatening humor addressing a variety of life situations (the relatable and even the unrelatable). Nate's humor would be at home at a family gathering whether a barbeque, a dinner party, game night, or just a beer. It's like have that very funny friend come by for a visit and hanging out to make everyone there laugh. He is a refreshing look at what comedy can be when the work is put in. No lazy cheap shots, no vulgarity, no pointless words found their way into his act.

THE best comedy show I’ve been to. Very little moments where I wasn’t crying laughing. I’ll be going to see him again as soon as he comes close to Pensacola again

We need more of this clean, simple humor in our world today!!! Cheers to Nate and his opening acts!!!

    Top current standup

    by S. P. on 2/5/22Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

Nate has been on fire the last few years, and he was 100% dialed in for this performance. For me it was all new material and strong the whole way through. He's at the Seinfeld or Brian Regan level of performance at this moment and definitely a don't miss act. He works clean, even at the later show, but just doesn't miss a beat. I don't think any other standup is at his level currently. We sat row 2 which added to the experience. Clowes Hall is a charming setup for events like this. Not a lot of food and drink options, but just enough and cozy. Leaving the garage afterward might take a while. If you can get a spot at Chatam Tap to kill an hour while the traffic leaves that's your best option.

    My first comedy show

by Keith on 2/2/22Stifel Theatre - St. Louis

There were 2 warmup comedians. Didn’t catch their names. First one-meh. Second pretty funny. Nate was unbelievably funny. I’ve always liked his comedy and heard he had brand new material (this his checking his notes to remind him of his next bit). He was hilarious. My eyes watered with laughter on several occasions. Highly recommend seeing him live.

    Funny and Clean

by Tom on 2/1/22Stifel Theatre - St. Louis

He just amazes me with non stop humor. I've seen 2 of his netflix specials and he never repeats himself. His comedy is so much about everyday things. you laugh the entire time. He has a gift! You can bring your kids or grandkids to see him. He is one of the best comedians I've heard. Looking forward to seeing him again

    Awesome Event!!

by Deb M on 2/1/22Stifel Theatre - St. Louis

Nate was awesome!! We laughed so much and truly enjoyed his performance! 👍👍 The only constructive criticism that I will offer is that the Stifel should have a BETTER POLICY for enforcing people be to the Show BEFORE it begins. The amount of people that came in 10 & 15 minutes (and even more) into the show was simply ridiculous! It was a huge distraction and disrespectful to all of us who were trying to watch the show while they were trying to find their seats all around us. Perhaps some guidelines should be in place that people need to be in their seats BEFORE show begins OR they can WAIT in lobby and enter QUIETLY & QUICKLY in 2 People at a time being escorted in to find their proper seats. Everyone will have to WAIT to enter slowly & quietly and be ESCORTED to their seats. There were people coming in and talking loudly in groups of 4, 6 and even more WHILE the show was going on. The Ushers should ASK the Patrons to be QUIET, RESPECTFUL and to wait and be led to their seat two at a time until everyone is there if they choose to get there after the show has begun. We had Orchestra Seats and found the above behavior to be rude and it needs to be corrected by the Stifel Management before we attend another event. ⭐️ Thanks so much for your kind consideration of our suggestion and look forward to better experience next visit.

    Couldn’t stop laughing!

by Linds on 2/1/22Stifel Theatre - St. Louis

Seriously an absolute blast. His set is good clean fun and just completely hilarious. My only complaint is with his second opening act, his set was mostly complaining about women and body positivity and I just didn’t think he was funny at all. 😬 but Nate is so funny and I had a great time bringing my mom. Will definitely see him again!

Wholesome humor and a very enjoyable show

by John on 2/1/22Stifel Theatre - St. Louis

Nate's humor is exactly what is needed today. We laughed and could relate to his stories without profanity or shock. His style leaves you smiling and feeling entertained making for a nice evening out. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to laugh, but not have to worry about bringing family. Great show.
