About

British pop singer Natasha Bedingfield knows how to craft a song. Her debut album Unwritten went triple platinum in the UK and contained three UK top 10 singles. “Single” and “Unwritten” rose to the top 10 while “These Words” rocketed straight to No. 1. In concert, Bedingfield is a tremendous, passionate artist who gives amazing performances and leaves everything onstage, ensuring that ticket holders are never disappointed. Her connection with the audience can be felt as much as it can be heard in the songs on “Live in New York City” from her 2007 tour. Bedingfield’s most recent album Strip Me Away in 2011 debuted at No. 103 on the Billboard 200.

Music has always been a facet of Bedingfield’s life as she and her siblings formed The DNA Algorithm as teens, with Bedingfield as the vocals. Bedingfield’s career began with recording demos in garages and writing songs for the Hillsong London Church. It wasn’t until 2003 that Bedingfield signed with Phonogenic Records and released her first album Unwritten, which debuted at No.1 on the UK Albums Chart, in 2004. Since bursting onto the scene in 2004, Bedingfield’s has released four more albums; Pocket Full of Sunshine, Strip Me, N.B. and Strip Me Away. Bedingfield has garnered multiple award nominations since her debut, and has also won a fair share of awards, such as the Capital FM Award’s Best Newcomer award in 2005 and Best Pop Artist for the BRIT Digital Music Awards in 2007. While Bedingfield has no tour planned yet, fans can be hopeful as she has announced an album for 2014.

    Excellent performance

by SewNowWhat on 6/27/11Aladdin Theater - Portland

Natasha rocked the house! She sounded great, and we didn't want her to stop. She played new and old songs and even added her version of Prince's "Purple Rain" which sounded better than the original. Her voice is a beautiful instrument.

    Released my inhibitions

    by Dibs4u on 6/27/11Aladdin Theater - Portland

A wonderful concert including the two opening acts. Natasha has the ability to 'release inhibitions' from herself and her audience with her free flowing, candid, sultry and playful style. She pulled from all her best songs from her released albums.

    Talk about Amazing

by Riotgirl on 6/27/11The Aladdin Theater - Portland

You want to talk about an amazing show. The Less is More Tour is that show. Andy Grammer is a one man instrument with so much energy. Kate Voegele was so amazing my only wish is that her set had been longer. She was the reason I went to the show. Then there was Natasha Bedingfield. She has such an amazing voice. Watching the guitar player playing using a drum stick as a pick was amazing. I have seen alot of shows in my time but never seen anything like that. Natasha had so much energy and such a presence on the stage you just could not stop yourself from dancing and singing along.

    Great show!

    by Trina33 on 6/27/11Aladdin Theater - Portland

Natasha Bedingfield is amazing! She has a flawless voice, and she really just puts on a great show. She does her thing, and her band and backup singer are also very talented. I came to the show to see Kate Voegele (who is also a flawless performer), but I ended up being very impressed with Natasha's performance and the show overall was fantastic.

    Natasha was charming and energetic

by TLeePtown on 6/27/11Aladdin Theater - Portland

A good concert. Not great, but definitely good. Natasha has great energy and an amazing voice but the audience didn't always pick up on that. With a better audience, this would have been an awesome concert.

Natasha Bendingfield is the best singer!

by cakeald on 6/20/11Birchmere - Alexandria

Natasha Bendingfield is one of the best female singers around, and we were thrilled she is touring in the U.S. She had a great concert; all her popular songs and "Purple Rain" was great too. We traveled from Pittsburgh to Alexandria, VA see her — please come to Pittsburgh sometime Natasha! in addition to her real talent, she seems like a lovely person too.

Natasha Bedingfield was wonderful. The girl can siiiinnnnnnnngggggggg!!! She did Purple Rain and Message in a Bottle - no one can do Purple Rain, but she did it, and did it justice. Andy Grammer was great and definitely has a great future. Katie Voegle can sing, but I wasn't too into her music.

    Natasha was outstanding

    by Newman789 on 6/16/11Birchmere - Alexandria

Really enjoyed the show. Her voice is beautiful - what control. She was so comfortable on stage and joked with the audience when the inevitable mishaps occurred. We were so close to her it was amazing.

    Natasha was great!!

by oceanangie on 6/16/11Birchmere - Alexandria

I completely disagree with the Washington Post review on Ms. Bedingfield's recent performance at The Birchmere in Alexandria, VA. Not only is she incredibly vocally talented, but she uses humor and a natural sense of warmth to communicate with her audience and even stayed after to sign things and meet her fans. Concerts don't have to be all lights and big bass and loud noise. They can be "stripped" and intimate and interactive - and that's what Natasha Bedingfield's show was. Just as she told us when she started her show. She played songs from her new cd, and her older stuff and even did covers of Purple Rain and Message in a Bottle. In this fan's opinion, she accomplished what she set out to do and I would see her again and recommend her show for all to see.

    Warmup bands wore us out

    by Richard15 on 6/16/11Birchmere - Alexandria

This venue is a dinner club with general admission only, so you have to get there early to get a decent seat. We arrived at 645 for a 730 concert. But we unexpectedly had to suffer through two awful warmup bands, with Natasha coming onstage just after 900. Most of us had been there for three hours by that time. The old metal chairs were killing us by then, and we didn't make it through her entire performance. She was awesome, but I would suggest a venue with assigned seating, and skip one or both of the warmup bands.

Natasha was just entrancing and enchanted the audience with an intimate performance that demonstrated the versatility and range of her voice and repertoire. Adore her!

You have to see her live!

by JuniorGorg on 6/15/11Birchmere - Alexandria

She's one of those entertainers who was born to perform on stage. Her recordings are great, but her live show is phenomenal. I've been to the Birchmere fifteen or twenty times and Natasha is the only performer who got that polite audience on their feet dancing!

    Natasha's amazing

    by Elvis77 on 6/15/11Birchmere - Alexandria

The opening acts were really good. Andy Grammar has a future in Music. Kate Voegele's new album is not her best. She's still a super nice person. Natasha works the audience and knows how to be a show person. She has excellent stage presence and can really sing.

    Flawless voice...Gracious in every way

by Kanecreature on 6/15/11Birchmere - Alexandria

Overall, this was an incredible show. My daughters could not have been more excited after the opening acts...that is until Natasha came on. She played an incredibly intimate set, with a great mix of her older songs and her newer ones. She was extremely personable and interacted with the crowd very well. She was noticeably uncomfortable with everyone sitting down at the Birchmere though, and even said that she was not used to people not dancing and that seeing the food at the tables made her hungry. While she is not my favorite recording artist, I have to say she put on quite a show. The last thing I would say is...she is a beautiful woman with an amazing voice.
