I am concerned what the "baseball" game/stadium experience has turned into after visiting First Horizon Park in Nashville. Super stadium, great staff, very friendly/informative throughout stadium - that is it for the positive. Negatives: getting to the stadium and out of the stadium as well as parking was atrocious. The "activities" within the stadium - putt putt golf, ping pong, basketball shoot, corn hole, bowling alley, dancing area, sofa's in the out field for the loungers and 'hook-ups" - I am sure I missed a few other recreational activities that are better placed at a carnival then at a game.
With all that said I realize the marketing aspect of getting folks (do not want to refer to them as 'baseball' fans) into the stadium for ticket revenue, buying food/drinks, souvenirs, etc etc etc. But, to turn the game into a circus is very sad. Is that what it takes to get fannies into the seats and turn a profit? Alot of the visitors in the stadium did not know there was a game going on. If so, I want no part of it.
Thanks for hearing me out - my last visit to First Horizon Park
