The only show my son really watches is Mythbusters, so I had to take him to this show! Pure entertainment and laughs from start to finish!
There was the perfect mixture of humor and entertainment, as well as the underlying theme of science that all Mythbusters fan love.
Adam and Jamie are just as funny and entertaining in person as they are on the television show. It was educational, but without being boring.
It's difficult to find events that my 14 year old and I both enjoy...and this event was a great choice. We enjoy watching the show on TV, and the "Behind the Myths" live show was excellent as well. Adam & Jamie spent the whole show interacting with the audience, and I felt like we had all been invited to visit thier shop. It was a very personal experience, not an over-produced show that just replayed the TV experiments. They didn't miss a beat when one of the contraptions malfunctioned...just moved on and kept us laughing. It was just like one of the failed science projects that my son and I run at home. The paintball cannon was the highlight of the night...loved it! I rated 4 stars because the producers didn't consider the audience on the sides of the arena, who couldn't see what was happening on the stage. A run through would have solved that problem. Cudos to Adam for listening to the audience and fixing the problem with the side screens. If you have a chance to see this show I highly recommend it.
Adam was fantastic, Jamie, not bad. This was more of a comedy than a traditional Mythbusters show, but it was entertaining and interesting. Great interaction with the crowd. The production however, was sub-standard at best and I felt bad for Jamie and Adam who ended up taking a lot of flack from the crowd because of the numerous technical difficulties. Is anyone at all in charge of checking to see that a) the entire audience can view the stage and b) that the props actually work? Shame on the entire production team!!
Entertaining and educational. We had a blast well worth the money. Get floor seats or straight back seats. The side seat had visibility issues
Poorly planned. Some experiments didn't work. This is definitely not the best format to demonstrate their work. Adam tried desperately at times to ensure we were getting our money's worth. I thank him for that, but it was quite apparent that the show needs someone experienced at developing live arena shows to produce it. I still can't gather why the side screens didn't work for half the show. You would think that these guys would get the video feed right. Those sitting on the sides of the lower bowl were unable to view a good portion of the show.
I have had a deep love of the Mythbusters for many years, and it was a dream to see them live!!!!!!!
Had a blast. Neat stuff and the audience participation was fun. They handled unexpected moments well. Enjoyed the stories and the meet and greet too.
Way overpriced! My 13 yr old son was even bored! Very little actual stage events. One of the major demonstrations wasn't set up right and they had to cancel it. The show consisted of video from the show and story telling. the arena was less than 1/2 full. We were offered to move downstairs however after sitting down there we moved back to our seats - if you weren't straight on to the stage, you couldn't see some of the happenings. Save Your Money!
The show itself was fun and well done. They had a few technical problems but that just added humor to the show. We took my granddaughter who is a huge fan of the show and she loved it, so that made me love it. But UCF Arena was another story, I would not go back there unless it was for somthing that I absolutely could not miss. Bad lighting, very hard plastic seats and the view of the stage was bad, you could not see much from the sides and our seats looking right at the stage was half blocked by equiptment.
Fun show, interaction with crowd was fun! Prop and technical problems a bit troublesome!
The show was great! Very family friendly, the audience was of all ages... The q & a session was very cool. One of their myths did not work as planned which was a bummer.... Overall great show and super funny guys!
I went with an open mind. I watch the show, and realize that most of what they do is over a period of time or on a larger scale, and so obviously they could not do much in an enclosed arena, with three hours and stage props. Adam and Jamie were much like I'd imagined them to be in "real life"...obviously not stage-showmen...but rather nerdy, and super excited about an evening of, more or less, show and tell. Problems -- there were obvious problems with the video/sound which, at times, caused issues. There was a problem with one of their gadgets, but it was almost more entertaining watching them try to sort it out. There were no mics in the audience during Q and A for either person, and so questions were shouted and repeated, and more questions taken from the mob of kids near the front. And so rather than fun, interesting queries, they answered questions like "how many times has Jamie hit you?" or "do you like the explosions better than mythbusting?" Overall, it was fun. But I left a little disappointed. However, I think it was born from the issues with the venue and audience more than anything.
Very enjoyable, the guys are very entertaining. A few things did not work during our show, but they got through it. A bit surprising that some of the big screens were not working, these are mechanical errors and should not happen in professional shows, hence the 4 star rating.
Great show! Cool demonstrations - a few technical difficulties though.
Dropped almost $200 for my family to go see their favorite tv show. My kids still loved it, but there were numerous glitches in the show not to mention don't buy a ticket on the side of the stage. Those folks couldn't see half of the show due to where they put the screen and the side screens were for the most part unavailable. If you paid for seats in the front row then I'm sure it was a great show. They could have used a camera on stage so you could see what was going on in the cheap seats. It's still a great show on tv, but half of the stunts and experiments you want them to do the;y can't do onstage!. it's just not meant to go on the road.
This show was amazing - my kids thanked me several times and said they would remember it for the rest of their lives:)
I took my husband for our anniversary and the show was great. The little bit of downtime for setup between segments was used to show video clips of some of the most memorable scenes from the series. Live question and answer segments with Adam and Jamie were great. Lots of audience interaction and participation.
