About

My Chemical Romance are a rock band composed of lead vocalist Gerard Way, bassist Mikey Way and guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero. Formed in 2001 in New Jersey, MCR have become highly influential for their blend of rock, pop-punk and emo music along with unflinchingly open lyrics and theatrical live performances. Beginning with 2002’s I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, MCR have released four studio albums, two live recordings and three compilations. The band unveiled their major label debut, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, in 2004 behind their first charting singles, “I'm Not Okay (I Promise),” “Helena” and “The Ghost of You.” In 2006, MCR’s third album The Black Parade reached a career-high No. 2 on the Billboard 200, while lead single “Welcome to the Black Parade” peaked at No. 9 on the Hot 100. After touring 2010’s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, MCR did not perform together again until 2019, followed by a reunion world tour between 2022 and 2023. The band headlined Las Vegas’ When We Were Young Festival in 2024. In 2025, My Chemical Romance embarked on a tour in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their landmark third studio album, The Black Parade.

  • Awesome awesome awesome

    by DEFORCE74 on 8/25/22Rating: 5 out of 5

I took my daughter who is a massive MCR fan. I didn’t know too much of their music before their concert in Nashville, but it was still great. They sound live just like they do on their albums, which is totally awesome. Great band, great concert, awesome experience.

  • Nashville

    by E. J. on 8/25/22Rating: 5 out of 5

There isn’t an artist or group alive that I want to see as much as I wanted to see MCR, and they didn’t disappoint. The Nashville setlist had songs from all throughout their career. They were obviously having a blast performing. This concert really felt like the ultimate celebration of their work. So glad I had the opportunity to go.

  • Waiting 20 years

    by H. T. on 8/25/22Rating: 5 out of 5

I have been waiting 20 years to see this band!!! I am an OG fan bringing my daughter who is now a fan! We cannot wait!!!!

  • simply amazing

    by bmgrubbs13 on 8/25/22Rating: 5 out of 5

everything was fucking amazing. gerard was stunning and still manages to captivate an entire audience seemingly by himself, and then you factor in the other 4 insanely talented band members. I want to go to every single date I can to see frank play guitar

  • Amazing band but outrageous prices

by Alex on 8/24/22AT&T Center - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

We both had an amazing time but the tickets were far more expensive than they should’ve been. And for that reason I will probably never use Ticketmaster again. Because y’all price gouge so much and it’s unacceptable.

  • Dream Come True

by Andie on 8/24/22AT&T Center - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

It truly was a dream come true!! I never thought I would get the chance to see MCR live, as I discovered them a few months before they announced their hiatus! Getting to have this experience was so awesome and I’m so happy to have jumped on the chance 😌

  • Amazing

by Jake on 8/24/22AT&T Center - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

Just a great show. Sound could have been a little better, but amazing show. Made me feel like a kid again.

  • Healing my inner teenager

by Spookysoup on 8/24/22AT&T Center - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

That was LITERALLY LIFECHANGING!! I couldnt go to the original or first rescheduled dates and forgot about it completely until a month ago. So I saved my paycheck to buy a pit ticket and called up 2 friends to drive 5 hours to San Antonio for the weekend to see them and it was the BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE up to this point and I was SO CLOSE TO THEM and they were SO GOOD and I'm still on cloud 9!!! 😆😆😆

  • Best concert I’ve ever been to

by Steph on 8/24/22AT&T Center - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

So I’m still a pretty new mcr fan, only getting into them back in December of 2021 but when I finally decided to give their music another chance it finally clicked with me. Over half a year later and I’m actually seeing them live and they did not let me down, the set this was amazing, seriously Hang em high?!?! I couldn’t contain my excitement when that came on, I felt like they played a even mix of each album, except bullets :( but at least they picked an amazing song off it. Overall it was amazing and if they are going somewhere near you and you’re on the fence, go, you won’t regret it

  • Overall awesome!

by Jay on 8/24/22AT&T Center - San AntonioRating: 4 out of 5

The concert itself was amazing! The only thing I didn’t like was how long it took to get through security to get into the building, there was only 2 lines for people with bags and it took about 45 mins to get through

  • My chemical romance!

by Aidan on 8/24/22AT&T Center - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

It was awesome, the venue was very nice. Only complaint is that it was a little hard to hear some things, the mixing wasn’t amazing.

  • Great Concert

by Rosie on 8/24/22AT&T Center - San AntonioRating: 4 out of 5

It is a great venue but it would have helped tremendously if people were outside guiding us on where to enter and organizing the lines of people waiting.

  • Great concert

    by Lesterlong187 on 8/24/22AT&T Center - San AntonioRating: 1 out of 5

Concert was fantastic. The problem is that i want to be able to print my ticket from home. I didn't want to download another app to my phone. I don't want your app. Don't make the consumer do something they don't want to do.

  • One of the best performances EVER!

    by Q on 8/24/22Rating: 5 out of 5

I have been to many concerts and festivals in my lifetime. MCR was so amazing! No high level theatrics necessary. Solid performances by all. I was on my feet the whole time. They gave it their all and to witness this live is truly an experience I will never forget!!

  • Always a great show

by Matt on 8/24/22AT&T Center - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

Wish they would have done a few other tracks from 3 cheers for sweet revenge and black parade albums but they still sound to true to studio sound even when live. I could feel how much fun they were having. Ray toro was non stop cheesing with each time he swapped guitars. The one for teenagers had such an amazing tone. 10/10 would recommend

  • 3rd Show on the 2022 tour!!

    by M. W. on 8/24/22Rating: 5 out of 5

Amazing music, amazing people! Definitely going to try to grab some tickets for another part of the tour

  • Great night

by Vanebudd on 8/24/22AT&T Center - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

Had an awesome time at the show. Lots of energy and excitement. Venue was great!

  • The Nashville concert was amazing!

    by G. P. on 8/24/22Rating: 5 out of 5

At Bridgestone Arena, in Nashvillie, it seemed like Gerard Way had a lot more energy and he was dancing a whole lot more than from the lives I've seen before the concert I went to. He sounded so amazing. Kinda wished they sang Cancer and Dead!/The End. And surprisingly they sang The World Is Ugly which sounded freaking amazing. But his cheerleader outfit definitely made a statement, he even looked good in it! LOL. Ugh Im so addicted to listening to MCR all the time, whether their live videos or just they original music audio. And I'm addicted to watching Gerard Way perform, now and even when he just began his career. I hope to see them again, it felt like a dream ♡.

  • Great Reunion

by EazyE on 8/24/22AT&T Center - San AntonioRating: 3 out of 5

Although I’m super happy to see the band together again, I was a little letdown by the experience. It was great to hear them play our favorite songs, but the sound and lights were lacking. He forgot which city he was in as well! Not to mention some songs were unknown to me which can be a good/bad thing. And to complain at the end of concert was horrible. The tickets were too expensive for this experience!
