About

Mudvayne are a heavy metal band from Peoria, Illinois. Formed in 1996, the band drew headlines for their cinematic presentation, sporting ghoulish face paint that later evolved into alien masks. In 2000, Mudvayne released their debut album L.D. 50 featuring the lead single “Dig.” The song’s frenetic and circus-like music video won the inaugural fan-voted MTV2 award at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards, with Mudvayne infamously accepting their trophies in white suits and bleeding bullet hole makeup. The band’s second album The End of All Things to Come (2002) drew acclaim from MTV and Entertainment Weekly, as the “alt-metal extraterrestrials” became one of the staples of 2000s-era metal, selling over 6 million albums worldwide and touring with Slipknot, Sevendust, Slayer and Metallica. Mudvayne would go on hiatus in 2010, reuniting in 2022 to tour with Rob Zombie, Static-X and Powerman 5000 on the Freaks on Parade tour.

    Awesome Show, but disappointing

    by Crash4273 on 7/27/09Tsongas Arena - Lowell

The show was fantastic. All of the bands and the Hellzapoppin' folks put on an absolutely terrific show, but I was VERY EXTREMELY disappointed that Mudvayne only played for 1 hour. They were the main reason I went to the show, and for the main act to play for the same length of time as the opening acts was a big let down. Mudvayne is one of my favorite bands, and they do notstop in new England very often, so I make it a point to go to their shows every time the come around, and to only get 1 hour of time to play.......very disappointing.

    by Bubba69 on 7/26/09Tsongas Arena - Lowell

Great show I thought! The town had a street party going on which made travel a bit harder. Not a good turnout I feel bad for the bands as they really Rock! I was on the floor and it sounded fantastic. Bubba

    amazing show

    by dude12 on 7/26/09Tsongas Arena - Lowell

This was one of the best shows I have seen in a while. with a solid line up of bury your dead suicide silence static X black label society and mudvayne you could not get any better (well if dope was there this show would of been to good.) In between acts they had hellapoppin a bunch of freaks shows like penguin dude, for the 45 dollars i paid for the tickets it was worth every penny.

    Pedal to the Metal....um, ok

by Steph69 on 7/26/09Cumberland County Civic Center - Portland

Static X was better then the other bands, and the "side show" act was just stupid.

    Pedal to the Metal

by Uncleanjoe on 7/26/09Tsongas Arena - Lowell

This was my first time seeing all three bands. Static x was amazing and I will have to see them again. Black Label Society was ok but nothing to write home about. Zack took the soloing way too far. Mudvayne was pretty cool and they played all their good song (Dig, Fall into Sleep, Happy, and Not Falling). Overall it was an enjoyable night and I would definitely do it again.

    Pedal To The Metal

by Colby14 on 7/25/09Cumberland County Civic Center - Portland

all I can really say is wow what a great show I have never been to a concert where the bands just keep you soo ALIVE!! i mean i was jumping around headbanging to everything i could. the only thing i found troublesome was that they didnt have Zakk Wylde's microphone turned up as much as it could have been but BLS still put on a great show. Static X, and Mudvayne all I could do was just get right into the music moshing and EVERYTHING by far my most favorite concert ever. I totally recommend that if this tour comes to a city/town near you BUY TIX NOW!!! oo and the freak show going around with them HELLSAPOPPIN was just as great as the acts and Betty Bloomers is a total babe and to make it better shes a Sword Swallower. Those of you who are going have a hell of a time cause i kno you will

    short sets

by mishapofreality on 7/25/09Cumberland County Civic Center - Portland

the sets were way to short and BLS didnt play to it's potential. I would have rather payed the $50 to see just BLS at the Asylum...

    Pedal to the Metal

by dcshipman on 7/25/09Cumberland County Civic Center - Portland

Very good concert. Suicide Silence was awsome, Black Label sound was very quiet ,Static X and MudVayne were great as well. Great price for this show. Also, they had a sidesshow/freakshow between sets, it was also very good. Awsome show.

Static X, BLS and Suicide Silence rocked the house

by Duckily on 7/25/09Cumberland County Civic Center - Portland

Every band was really good, Static X being my favorite out of the 4, BLS following, then Suicide Silence and finally Mudvayne. The opening act, Hellzapoppin, was really strange and Penguin man was pretty creepy. Props to the crystal ball man and the torture guy. I wasnt really feelin the slutty sword swallower, I thought that was a bit over the top, if I want to see 40 year old women strip I'll either go online or to a strip club, not the right thing for me at a concert, but the guys didnt mind it. Lighting was killer, security was laid back. It was really crazy, but very fun. Overall this show was pretty kick ass and was my first metal concert. Rock on!

    working out the bugs

by gunite on 7/25/09Cumberland County Civic Center - Portland

It was the first show of the tour and it showed. There was no encore, the audience fled from the colisium as soon as mudvayne put the mike down. Static X sounded the best. BLS was a disappointment, they had a good show but the sound quality was poor.

    Mudvayne saved everyone!

by n228833 on 7/25/09Cumberland County Civic Center - Portland

The turnout was much less than I would have thought, but it did not help that the sets were very short for the first four bands. BLS was disappionting, but Mudvayne put on a great show.
