Love the singing and the energy!!! My Parents would have loved it!!!!!
It was great to see them do all that they did (live), like the totle suggests. The price was appropriate as well.
Excellent Show.......great talents! The singing and dancing was fantastic! We really enjoyed it. MUST SEE!!
We have been to multiiple Motown reviews and musicals and Motor City Live was the best we have ever seen! All the singers' voices were terrific, the dancers were so talented, and the lighting was perfect. Did I mention the price? It was amazingly low. A great night out!
It was an exciting trip back to the motor city! I grew up in the Motown sound. I am still grooving
All the songs of Motown. The ladies are spectacular. They each have amazing vocals and are just beyond talented. There is no lip syncing which shows you how fit the cast is. The men’s vocals are good not as great as the ladies. Wish the show was longer.
Although I’ve never been to Vegas, I imagine this show would be similar is format. Real good choice of song medleys. Great performers including the all-white band (just thought it was funny to have an all white band for a Motown review). They were good though. Most of the songs were performed up tempo (hence the title) so it lacked the true Motown feel (passionate vocals, smooth choreography vs car-hop odancing)
The show was entertaining and good value for the price. However, although many of them could sing, none of them sounded, looked or danced like any of the Motown groups. (The Motown play is far better). Great sound system and venue. The dancers were more professional ballroom/broadway like performances as background to the singers. Clearly, the ladies were better singers than the men. One lady is too good for this performance and can be an instant sucess on her own, as is the shortest female dancer is far better than the rest. I would recommend it as an activity to experience.
If you are a fan of Motown (or any music that makes you want to get up and dance, Motor City Live is a great experience. Almost 90 minutes of non-stop hits from the 60s and early 70s presented by talent singers, hi-energy dancers, and a fantastic band with amazing horn section. All singers were strong but I must say that the lady who sang as Aretha Franklin and Gladys Knight was phenomenal! I can't remember a more entertaining show, especially for this price range. Great to see that MGM is bringing a wide range of top quality shows that people can afford. Don't miss Motor City Live.
Opening night was full of the nervous mistakes that come with most shows of this type. What made this show for me were the singers; the majority were fabulous!! What turned me off as not authentic were the almost all white background dancers who were a distraction and cheesy. Seemed like the production was going for "Motown 25" but failed miserably. Go for the music and the singing.
I loved the show and sang along to every song. Great performance!
My wife and I wanted to do something between Christmas and New Years and we saw this show. We both love Motown but have seen "revue" shows before at a casino and we did not have high expectations. Well were we real surprised!!!! This show was absolutely GREAT! What a production. The singers were something you had to hear to believe. All of the singers were exceptional individually and they each had an opportunity to sing but when they came together as a quartet or a quintet to sing a wide ranging list of Motown, Pop and some Christmas Carols it was off the charts. The talent level was THAT high. The dancing of the singers was exciting as well. Who can sing Motown without some good backup "steps". The backup dancers were really good as well and added to the show but they did not try to be the show. On top of all that the backup band was totally unbelievable. There is nothing I can say bad about this shown other than it was too short. I would be interested in knowing what is up next for this group of performers.
Very entertaining. I had front row seats but it was uncomfortable due to the stage speakers blocking the view. The singer that sung, O Holy Night was phenomenal-Cudos!
I felt like the cast were my friends, the dancers evoked memories of my party days. The singing awesome. I saw thw show 5 times and they were purchased tickets not comps. I hope it stays foerever.
I love the it’s the second time my husband and I saw it. You can relate to the songs.
