This is a really good deal and really great seats for MotoGP
If you're up on who the riders are it'd be more entertaining. Unfortunately I only know a few rider and they go by so fast that it's hard to read the number son the front of the bike. Sad that more of the tv monitors weren't working for some reason, no excuse for that. And why did the track take down some of the bleachers in favor of more GA sitting on the grass? The bikes come by to infrequently due to the size of the track so theres a lot of down time waiting. It's an okay experience once but I don't think I'll be going back.
There are motorsports...and then there is MOTOGP. NO COMPARISON..BALLET ON WHEELS! There are no words to sufficiently describe the sport of MOTOGP. It can only be totally understood and absorbed by seeing it in person!
My first time attending an event at COTA, ever...or a MotoGP. Walked into a wave of Rossi fans, came out a Marquez fan. Def doing it again...and the F1 race.
Motogp is a must see you’re limited on the amount of water you can bring in the venue
I have been to approximately eight races at COTA with this being my second Moto GP event. I by far enjoy the Moto GP races. These guys are insane! I am amazed at how these guys are constantly shifting their weight from side to side to go through corners, turns, 'Ss", etc. They literally drag their knees on most turns. Great action. Take your ear plugs as the big boys bikes are super load especially when running in packs. I always do GA tickets for all events I have been to there. I like being able to go to different viewing spots to get different perspectives. You are allowed to carry a chair in which is nice. If not a chair, take a blanket or towel and enjoy that way. The ri
I recommend this event only because it's the only MotoGP race in the USA. The track is beautiful, but the racers get easily separated and spaced out so there's not really any battles after a few laps. I watched MotoGP, Moto 2, and MotoAmerica and began to think this track is better suited for F1 races. MotoAmerica had much more exciting races, but that's probably due to having a lot less racers on the track. Even so, the other MotoAmerica races are more exciting than COTA.
Overall Moto GP races were great. Great overall track layout and facilities but according to riders the track is not up to race standards. COTA grounds staff were helpful, friendly and courteous. Ticket purchase was horrible for the second year in a row as I never received my tickets and after numerous phone calls with long wait times with both ticket masters and COTA I was finally told I would have to pick them up at the ticket booth. I ordered in January. Most food booths were fair but overpriced. Need to have more variety. Very few healthy or vegetarian options. Parking is horrible. Everyone are run thru one line that slows as the crowd fills in or out. Need to work on a system that allows parking closer to the gate according to your arrival time. More than one ticket taker please.
Ducati island moved without any announcement, very long and slow moving lines at vendor booths, restrooms, pedestrian bridges, limited shuttles running from main grandstand, no watering stations. Very disappointing that some of the great things added for F1 are not being used at MotoGP
MotoGP never fails to impress! That being said, it was another cake walk for Marc Marquez -- he has dominated this race since the first one held at COTA. Everyone has their favorite rider; I like Valentino Rossi, however, I also like Marc Marquez. I respect both of them for the numerous championships they have won. I'm impressed with Dovi for giving Marc a run for his money in last years championship. Dovi is the first to put a Ducati in winning position since Casey Stoner. Now, I don't want Marc to lose a race because he fell or was penalized; I want someone to step up and take it from him. All sports get better for the fans when someone comes along and dominates the competition. Eventually someone will come along and beat Marc on a regular basis. For now, like it or not, we'll just have to watch (Alien) Ant dominate MotoGP.
The track, seating, parking is all very good. Some people think that it is great to have the same rider winning every year. I don’t. I find that boring. Why go to the races if everybody knows who will win it. I have been here now 4 years in a row with allways same result. I will monitor some races this year and if MM93 is winning most of the races, I will not spend that much money again and will not come back.
The venue is awesome, the racing is great to see live, but for some reason, this year the printed schedules & the schedule posted on the app weren't followed. This is my 5th year attending this event & haven't seen this happen before. We showed up Sunday morning & were expecting to see the bikes practicing, instead, we were actually watching them finish the first race that wasn't supposed to happen for 3 more hours. We went to watch the freestyle motocross show, only to find out it had been cancelled altogether. We went to watch the trials demo but thought we wouldn't have enough time to walk over there. Only to find out it was running late & we would have had plenty of time to make the walk over. So we missed the first race, the freestyle motocross demo & the trials demo all because the schedule wasn't followed. First half of the day wasted. Since the schedule was off, we couldn't plan to do anything other than sit & wait for the next race since we didn't want to risk missing them. How hard can it be to simply update the app with any changes?
Race was fantastic..but parking and traffic was awful! Make sure to get there WAY BEFORE any events! It took us an hour to park and we a bought pre-paid parking pass!
Great viewing from new location can see turns 12 thru 15. Had some first timers with me and they loved it.
My first MotoGP event well worth the trip the vendors were awesome and venue was fabulous.
Been to each of the 6 Moto GP events held at COTA. This year was an improvement over last in number of bathrooms and availability of concessions. We were in the loge and greatful for the table service. There was a mixup on our order but it was quickly resolved.
Great event. Ticketmaster made the process easy except if you hadn’t been to the track it was hard to pick seats.
I bought GA ticket and watched a race from the first corner. The distance from circuit was so closed and it was exciting. Bring a blankets or camping chair would make you so comfortable.
The venue and attractions were top notch. Disappointed that the tv monitors were not on in turn 11, our favorite viewing area but we moved and it was great.
Never understood the what the big deal was with fast motos but to see it live as exhilarating!!!!
