theroy of a deadman were to whimpy for this show. They should of opened the show at best. Drowning Pool and God Smack, know that is a show I would buy tickets for, and it was my first time seeing either band live.

by Smacker on 7/30/09The Amphitheater at Clark County - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

The begining of the show was a little slow going but once Godsmack got on stage the crowd went wild!! They gave an amazaing performance with an awesome drum solo!! Then came Motley Crue!! The only word I have for this is AMAZING!!!!

  • Godsmack and Crue Rock!

by Gwydas on 7/29/09The Amphitheater at Clark County - RidgefieldRating: 4 out of 5

It started out slow with Drowning Pool and Theory of a Deadman. These acts were lame, and their showmanship was lacking. I was bored out of my mind while watching them. Godsmack was awesome. The drum solo/duo was brilliant and had me perked up and paying attention. It was brilliant. The rest of the night was great, from then on. I had a good time, and really rocked out. Crue was good too. They did alot of songs, and were really rockin out, except that Vince Neil wasn't getting all the words right. But it was still alot of fun, especially when Tommy Lee came out and talked to the audience. He was very engaging, and fun. Thanks! It was a great show. Oh, and we LOOOOOVED the premier parking. It was so easy getting in and out of the show.

  • Cruefest average

by Kasra on 7/29/09The Amphitheater at Clark County - RidgefieldRating: 3 out of 5

High expectation but did not live up to it. Crue's idea of one album and play top to botton lost the crowd and the opening acts played so little. Not worth the money

  • Godsmack blew the roof off!

by 99bears on 7/29/09The Amphitheater at Clark County - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

Cruefest 2 was awesome. It was over 104 degrees outside and Godsmack and Motley Crue had to endure blazing pyrotechnics. They tore through an amazing performance. Absolutely awesome

  • my first to see godsmack

by dalefan on 7/29/09The Amphitheater at Clark County - RidgefieldRating: 4 out of 5

I went to crue fest last year at the amphitheater in auburn-it was not as good as this show! This was my first show at this theater and my boyfriend and I loved it! I have been a long time crue fan and enjoy them every time i see them. This was my first time seeing godsmack and they rocked!

  • Crue Fest line-up doesn't work

by Rockveteran on 7/29/09The Amphitheater at Clark County - RidgefieldRating: 3 out of 5

The 4 opening bands for Motley Crue just didn't match the music genre of the Crue. Starting with Clown City Devils, then Drowing Pool, Theory of a Dead Man, and Godsmack, the 4 openers were much more suitable for a headliner of Motorhead or Pantera than the Crue. While the Crue may not be a glam rock band, they are just mainstream hard rock and not really that far from the glam or hair bands. 80's type / glam metal band openers would have been favorable. It was just agony getting through that bunch of noise to the Crue. I was wiped out by the time they took the stage.

  • CRUE & Friends Return with FIRE, PASSION & ENERGY

by TheJ2 on 7/29/09The Amphitheater at Clark County - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

CRUE FEST 2 was an AWESOME show. I've heard some people complain that previous shows weren't that great (not true, die-hard CRUE fans, of course), but last nights Motley Crue concert KICKED ASS! Everything you would hope to see from a main event rock show and more. Tommy, Vince, Mick and Six were all in top form. Tommy worked the crowd and Mick's chops were right on. Dr Feelgood in it's entirety is a worthy rock album for full live presentation, packed with hits, jams and ballads. Godsmack always delivers the goods and this was no exception; energy filled, driven, high-quality musicianship. Sully rocks as a front man, filled with passion, Tony Rombola's smooth jams and solos are extraordinary, Robbie Merrill works the stage and watching Shannon Larkin play drums is a treat to behold. Drowning Pool simply rocks and their live performance did too! From "Sinner" to "Bodies" C.J. Pierce and Stevie Benton jammed and moved with energy and power, backed by Mike Luce's equally excellent drumming. Ryan McCombs sang with strength and authenticity while giving props to former frontman Dave Williams. I was looking forward to Theory of a Deadman because I like their studio sound, but was disappointed by their live performance, which seemed lacking in energy or much crowd connection. New kids on the ROCK, Charm City Devils brought an old-school sound, reminiscent of Black Crowes meets Buckcherry, but had a nice unique presence making a name of their own. Their opening set was a great and fitting kick-off to a fun filled rock festival! They even paid their dues by hanging out with the crowd during intermission. GO SEE THIS SHOW!!

  • Should be called Godsmackfest

by GLD3434 on 7/29/09The Amphitheater at Clark County - RidgefieldRating: 3 out of 5

Drowning pool was awesome! Theory of a Deadman has good songs but the singer just cant sing them live like on the album. Godsmack made the 3 hour drive worth it. They were energetic and spot on. would see Godsmack 10 more times this month if given the chance. Motley Crue... Wow where do i start? I guess retiring would be a good idea. This was the 5th time ive seen them in my life and i was actually embarrased for them. Its bad enough that Vince has no voice left and sings half of the lyrics. But c'mon at least bring the hits... They opened playing the entire Dr. Feelgood album. What a terrible idea. Myself along with about 10,000 people were sitting in their seats waiting for 10 seconds to love, looks that kill, or any other kick ass crue song and they never came. Afer the feelgood album they came with Wild side which i like, then back to another bad song.. Saints of Los Angeles.. We left before the encore which i heard included Girls Girls Girls.. ( big deal). One positive is that all 3 other guys in the band rip still, and the stage setup was very cool.

  • Motley Crue rocked the house!

by rollo on 7/29/09The Amphitheater at Clark County - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

Motley Crue brought the house down, best concert I ever saw!

  • Show was good.

by Buzrok on 7/29/09The Amphitheater at Clark County - RidgefieldRating: 4 out of 5

What can say but a good show by some aging rocker's. Crue put on their loud lit show as always but Godsmack stole the night with the dual drum solo. A good loud Rock and Roll show!!!!

  • Cruefest how can you go wrong?

by bbbjr on 7/29/09The Amphitheater at Clark County - RidgefieldRating: 4 out of 5

Though it was 106 degrees at the airport and the breeze was virtually non-existant, the show went on, on time and full of action! Though I have heard a bit of Theory of a Deadman, Drowning Pool and Godsmack, Charm City Devils, who opened the show put on a solid 30 minute set. The other bands kept pace including Godsmack who provided a highlight night reel with the dueling drum sets. You need to see it to fully appreciate it. Similarly to the Alice Cooper theater shows, The Crue delivered their own spin with it's 20th Anniversary of Dr. Feelgood. You have to see the production to appreciate the effort! To split the set they used some ingenious set design and in short order to transform the stage to it's final crescendo. In short, a nearly 6 hour performance!

  • Motley Crue ROCKED!!!

by KevDog666 on 7/29/09The Amphitheater at Clark County - RidgefieldRating: 4 out of 5

Motley Crue, Godsmack and Drowning pool ROCKED!!! Theory of a Deadman was terrible. Also, the event staff should have kicked out this batch of skinhead wanna-be's that kept jumping the fence and distrupting some of the show. Also, I'm perfectly capable of hanging onto a bottle of water. Walking around with the weak cups they gave us--for $4.00--was a pain in the butt. I'm almost 40, I can handle carrying a bottle of water.

  • Cruefest 2 was amazing and unforgettable.

by Handyrandy69 on 7/29/09The Amphitheater at Clark County - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

Even though is was a hot day, the bands played and gave an awesome performance. All the bands were great and dispite the heat, played for the crowd that had gathered for this concert. You could actually see the sweat pouring off the band members as they played. The energy each band gave in their performances was awesome.

  • the whole show was copletely amazing

  • Cruefest 2 concert

by Ryanp on 7/29/09The Amphitheater at Clark County - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

It was the coolest Summer concert I have ever been to. All the bands were kick ass bands from Charm City Devil's to Motley Crue. I had a really fun time going backstage to meet Godsmack, I also had fun rocking out to the Dr. Feelgood album live, which came out the year I was born. I am planning on going to next years Cruefest.

  • Godsmacks Drumming Duet was insane!

by k4killer on 7/29/09The Amphitheater at Clark County - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

I have never seen a concert more entertaining. I missed the Charm City Devils but, got there in time to witness Drowning Pools awesomeness! Then Theory of a dead man came up with their best. Then the band I wanted to hear most came on stage...GODSMACK. they started with some great music and played their new song Whiskey Hangover. They had some wicked Pyrotechnics. Then when they started the Drum off I was truly amazed. I couldnt believe they could do that. It was something truly unforgettable to watch. Then Motley came up and started with Dr. Feelgood. Awesome song! They played all of the dr. Feelgood album, then some more from other albums. It was defiantly well worth my time and money. I would say I got what I payed for then some more on top.
