About

Motionless in White are a gothic and horror-themed metalcore band from Scranton, Pennsylvania. After forming in 2005, the group began to break out with the release of their third album, Reincarnate (2014), which charted in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 and featured artists such as Dani Filth of Cradle of Filth and Tim Skold of Marilyn Manson and KMFDM. Lead vocalist Chris Motionless has noted drawing inspiration from bands like Slipknot, Cradle of Filth and AFI, who helped inspire the sonic soundscape of albums like Graveyard Shift (2017) and Disguise (2019), the latter of which produced the band’s first single to go gold, “Another Life.” Motionless in White have released two EPs and six studio albums, including 2022’s critically acclaimed Scoring the End of the World — embarking on sold-out tours with everyone from Korn to Slipknot.

  • AMAZING

by John on 4/19/22The Fillmore Philadelphia - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen them multiple times and each time they get better and better. They're fantastic. They include the crowd and you can really see each member has a great time on stage and they love the energy. Chris always has a very motivational talk with the audience and he always shows every person that we are a community and we are together even though we're individuals. He's truly inspiring and a genius, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

  • Duck!

    by Angel22413 on 4/19/22The Fillmore Philadelphia - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

Great bands But got hit with multiple crowd surfers… needed more security in there. Also when you sell parking passes, maybe make sure you don’t give paid spots away and then don’t reimburse

  • Always a great show

by Turtle on 4/19/22The Fillmore Philadelphia - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

All 4 bands were great and Motionless in White never disappoints! The Filmore in Philadelphia is a great music venue.

  • Could be better

by Brian on 4/19/22The Fillmore Philadelphia - PhiladelphiaRating: 2 out of 5

Venue was overcrowded. Drunk people everywhere being served after they were already to drunk to walk straight. Merch lines were unclear and unorganized. Also no covid vaccine checks. Music was good but overall experience very bad will not do venue again unless in seat upgrades in balcony

This show was insane! One of the greatest musical experiences that I have ever gone to! All the bands that played KILLED their sets, and if they were to ever tour again together, I wouldn't hesitate to get tickets! 10 out of 10 Recommend.

  • So Much Energy

by JK on 4/19/22Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

One thing about Motionless in White as well as other metalcore and similar groups that never ceases to amaze me is the account of energy they produce within a crowd. It helps when they sound as good, if not better, than studio recording. So keep them coming back.

Motionless in White is a must see band they sound even better live they give their audience their all and you will have a bang-over the next day. If you see the in moon township at the upmc events center in Pittsburgh the seats arent made for big people i will say that Im a big girl felt like a sardine and right on the person beside me but once your out of your seat standing still a sardine but not squished and who cares. Again the band you gotta see live atleast once.

  • Amazing show!

by Scott on 4/17/22Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Took my daughter to this show as part of the Trinity of Terror tour. This was her second show ever. She was instantly in love and can’t wait to see them again. Their sound was amazing. You could hear them sing unlike a couple of the acts where the music drowned out the vocals. Overall 4 stars for the show, 5 stars for MIW!
