About

Comprised of Ryan Guldemond (vocals, guitar), Molly Guldemond (vocals, keys), Jasmin Parkin (vocals, keys), Ali Siadat (drums) and Mike Young (bass), Mother Mother are best known for their deep connection with their fans, and for bringing stadium-sized energy to their live show, no matter the stage.  Singing about themes of alienation and enormous longing for self and societal acceptance, the band's mission is to be a home for souls that feel they don't fit in anywhere else.

Mother Mother were recently catapulted into a new stratosphere of universal success following the release of their critically acclaimed studio album INSIDE.  Their explosive follow-up to "Hayloft," "Hayloft II" connected with fans around the world and is now certified Gold in the US and approaching Platinum in their home country of Canada. A string of #1 radio hits in Canada, 6 billion global streams, and multiple Billboard chart appearances cement their newfound global success.

The quintet spent most of the last year touring the world playing to sold-out audiences in theaters to stadiums, with multiple sold-out headline tours in Europe, UK, Canada, Australia and the U.S. as well as past and upcoming festival plays at Reading + Leeds, Lollapalooza in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Berlin, Corona Capital in Mexico, Pukkelpop Belgium, Frequency Festival in Austria, Lowlands in The Netherlands and more.

  • Magical night

by Sakura on 11/9/22The Masonic - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic venue for an amazing night. One grain of feedback: I purchased two tickets, one for the Acoustic Package and another for a seat in Balcony 8. The value of those two tickets combined covered the value of a single-show seat in the VIP area. I tried to explain this to the security guard who kicked me out for not having a VIP wristband. Security staff could stand to be a little more flexible and understanding in such situations (where a patron has paid up to and over the cost of a seat in the VIP area).

  • Was a fun show!

  • Mother Mother was AMAZING but venue could be better

by Seener on 11/9/22Hollywood Palladium - HollywoodRating: 4 out of 5

Even though I'm not an avid listener of Mother Mother, it was such an amazing show. They're overall kind people and wonderful performers with plenty of energy and enthusiasm. You could tell they are passionate about their music and appreciate their fans. They also chose amazing opening bands, Transviolet and Vundabar, to play before them. Although I initially bought tickets to see Vundabar (which were as good as I expected), I stayed for Mother Mother and I am so happy I did. The only thing keeping this review from being five stars was the venue itself, the Hollywood Palladium, which had very little air conditioning in an otherwise crowded and hot pit which got very uncomfortable when waiting for the act to start. I understand that this was out of the band's control, but it is nonetheless something people should prepare for when buying tickets at this venue in the future.

  • LITERALLY AMAZING

by Marcus on 11/9/22The Masonic - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

The openers were fantastic, they all shared the same great energy while performing. The energy in the crowd was amazing and everyone knew all the songs that everyone performed. It was an a beautiful concert and I can't wait to see them again.

  • Loved It!!

    by BtflVidaJ4 on 11/9/22The Masonic - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

The venue was beautiful and clean, I included the parking to my tickets and it was totally worth it, very convenient the parking garage was literally next to the venue. The show was amazing, I took my daughter to watch her favorite bands playing and I saw nothing but a big smile on her face and her singing and dancing the entire time. It was so much fun!

  • Best concert ever

by Freeshelley on 11/9/22The Masonic - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Mother Mother put on such an amazing show! The sound was clean, the band was super interactive with the crowd, and Ryan Guldemond has such a humble and positive outlook that he shares and gives so freely to his fans! Please please please come back to SF soon!!!!!!!

Mother Mother was incredible. Great show, and Vundabar was an great opener. We were in the balcony and had great seats.

  • Amazing

by Cin on 11/9/22Hollywood Palladium - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

The band was awesome, it was really hot in there tho.

  • Even balcony seats were great

by SleepyD on 11/9/22The Masonic - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

First, lesson learned about 12 bucks for parking. That half mile was all uphill. We missed half the first band and were a bit sweaty. Sound for the show was good. Mother Mother is amazing I would do that half mile hike in heels to see them again- especially when it made my kid so happy to be there. Down side...the event staff rushed everyone out and blocked people from finding restroom after the show. I had a 2 hour drive and no restroom signs were visible in the place.

  • Well worth the money and trip

  • Amazing show - but tickets not as advertised

by Jenn on 11/8/22Hollywood Palladium - HollywoodRating: 3 out of 5

The band was absolutely amazing!! However, I purchased VIP tickets which were advertised as including an acoustic pre-show, Q&A with the band, lanyard & VIP swag bag. The ticket also implied that we'd have seats (it had an assigned seat number). When we got there, we did not receive any of that. It was basically GA, except we could enter a VIP balcony area but they told us it was a standing room ticket and we'd have to pay even more for a seat. We ended up paying another $80 so we could sit but still didn't receive any of the other items. The band was incredible and I would have paid that amount to see them anyway, but it was just disappointing expecting one kind of experience and getting another.

  • Absolutely amazing!

by Delaney on 11/8/22Hollywood Palladium - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

You guys sounds so good! I almost prefer the live performance to the recording! The stage presence, the vocals, absolutely stunning!

  • EXCELLENT

by Mari on 11/8/22Hollywood Palladium - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

Mother Mother has great music, obviously, but the sheer wow-factor of their stage performance was entirely unexpected. The stage presence of every member of the band was incredible, and the lighting and sound design was really perfectly suited to each song on the setlist. I have seen much less technically impressive shows on much, much bigger stages. Everything about it drew me in and made me glad to be there, and I cannot wait to see them live again!

  • Amazing

by Jayz on 11/8/22Hollywood Palladium - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

The opening acts of vundabar and transviolet were great and the performance by mother mother was all I hoped for and more I'll remember it for as long as I live

Mother mother concert is my daughter's first concert to attend. She listens to their music all the time. We had an amazing night at the concert. It was a mother daughter date night and we both had fun!

  • Fantastic Show

by toffee on 11/8/22Hollywood Palladium - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

The Palladium may have a strict bag/restricted items policy and only provide expensive water inside, but it was all worth it to hear Mother Mother <3

  • Band was awesome, venue sucked

    by Dawn0400 on 11/7/22Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

Mother Mother was awesome! All the bands that played were amazing. The venue was a different story. It was so very packed in general admission, we were literally arm to arm. If you wanted to raise an arm to take a pic, or move at all you would hit the person behind you. Also we tried to buy water and were told they only sold beer and did not take cash. What? So no beverages at all except beer for 5 hours total while at the venue. That was unbelievable to me. I would have paid just about any amount of money for water at one point. We were dehydrated and packed in like sardines. We will not be going back to this venue.
