About

Comprised of Ryan Guldemond (vocals, guitar), Molly Guldemond (vocals, keys), Jasmin Parkin (vocals, keys), Ali Siadat (drums) and Mike Young (bass), Mother Mother are best known for their deep connection with their fans, and for bringing stadium-sized energy to their live show, no matter the stage.  Singing about themes of alienation and enormous longing for self and societal acceptance, the band's mission is to be a home for souls that feel they don't fit in anywhere else.

Mother Mother were recently catapulted into a new stratosphere of universal success following the release of their critically acclaimed studio album INSIDE.  Their explosive follow-up to "Hayloft," "Hayloft II" connected with fans around the world and is now certified Gold in the US and approaching Platinum in their home country of Canada. A string of #1 radio hits in Canada, 6 billion global streams, and multiple Billboard chart appearances cement their newfound global success.

The quintet spent most of the last year touring the world playing to sold-out audiences in theaters to stadiums, with multiple sold-out headline tours in Europe, UK, Canada, Australia and the U.S. as well as past and upcoming festival plays at Reading + Leeds, Lollapalooza in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Berlin, Corona Capital in Mexico, Pukkelpop Belgium, Frequency Festival in Austria, Lowlands in The Netherlands and more.

  • One of the greatest bands EVER!!!

by Miranda on 7/13/24The Rooftop at Pier 17 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely adore Mother Mother. The experience was everything I could have ever dreamed of. Amazing vocals, fantastic energy, a lot of fan interactions during songs, and the view of the Brooklyn Bridge just behind them at Pier 17 was breathtaking. Honestly, a night I will never forget. Will be seeing Mother Mother again in Ohio this upcoming September, and likely many more times!

  • First ever concert

by Dan Swart on 7/13/24The Rooftop at Pier 17 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve never been to a concert before and didn’t really know what to expect. I bought my ticket because I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see one of my favorite artists of all time, and I was wholly unprepared for what the event had in store. The setting was fantastic, the music was incredible, and the vibes were immaculate. Experiencing live music like this was worth every penny I spent to get there, and I wish I could go again. Thank you to the organizers and the artists who made this possible.

  • Beautiful set beautiful venue

by kevin on 7/12/24Rating: 5 out of 5

They chose a good venue, large and open, and their set was breathtaking, absolutely loved seeing them live

  • Amazing arrangement

by Ollie on 7/11/24Orlando Amphitheater at the Central Florida Fair - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

Even with the delay and terrible weather, the crowd was energetic and cheerful! The song arrangements was the best ive ever seen, must have been hard to pick from such a large and loved discography but they did a great job!

  • Awesome!! Great music, great vibes

by AAA on 7/10/24Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Loved this performance so much, had a blast singing and dancing along to our fav songs at this concert!!

  • Biggest venue we've seen MM play

    by Jes K on 7/8/24Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Typically we've caught Mother Mother in smaller, more intimate venues, so this was a really cool experience seeing them in a large amphitheatre with 16k other glorious humans! They're an amazing band and seeing them live always energizes me!

  • Awesome first time concert!!!

by KeeKee on 7/8/24Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Celebrating my teen’s 16th bday with their friends, all first time concert goers, they had a great time despite some rain. Bands were awesome and really tuned into the audience. Great mix of bands all complimented each other. Venue was clean and we had a great view of the stage.

  • So much fun live!

by Spence on 7/8/24Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Mother Mother was INCREDIBLE to see live. Their live vocals are insane and they did so much audience interaction that it really made you feel like part of something. I loved how they played around with the songs so you never knew what was coming next. I wish their set was longer though!! Going to that show has only increased my love for Mother Mother tenfold. The openers, Meet Me at the Altar and Cavetown were amazing too!! I'm a huge fan a of Cavetown, who was also fantastic live, so seeing the 2 together was like a dream come true. This concert was SO MUCH FUN and I would definitely go see Mother Mother (and Cavetown) live again!! :)

  • Spectacular

    by Asher05 on 7/8/24Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best concerts I’ve been to! The whole experience was amazing. Loved the outdoor venue, helps avoid the typical hot and stuffy nature of concerts! The venue also offered seat upgrades at a great price and I ended up being very near the stage! Amazing experience

  • Great Show, Awful Venue

by Bubz on 7/8/24Orlando Amphitheater at the Central Florida Fair - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

Cavetown and Mother Mother were both super fun to see. The venue was an absolute nightmare. The weather didn't help but the way information was distributed was incredibly disorganized -- I was not able to get parking details until I sent a Facebook message to the venue. Thankfully, the show was worth it. Cavetown had a very laid back, welcoming stage presence and a cute set while Mother Mother was a vivid lighting experience and super engaging with the crowd. They worked well together! I wish I could have seen Meet Me @ The Altar but the entry was so scattered that I got in mid-Cavetown and it sounds like they were cut anyway due to the weather delays. Maybe someday! 5 stars because I'd still do it again.

  • Absolutely Incredible!

    by Femur S. on 7/6/24The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

First time seeing a show at the anthem and first time seeing mother mother and let me tell you, it was amazing!!! The band's energy was so positive and strong and the crowd was so into it! I only wish I could've stayed forever!

  • Best show ever!

    by S F on 7/5/24The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Really amazing show, the venue was great and had good staff. They gave out ice cold water in between sets and bouncers were attentive. Definitely would go see another show!

  • Good, but not as good as past concerts

by chgray on 7/5/24The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 3 out of 5

This was my third Mother Mother concert and I was disappointed that they didn't sing more from their current album Grief Chapter which I think is one of their best albums. Three versions of Hayloft? About 2 too many, especially at the expense of other songs. Also, they didn't play very long less than an hour and a half when you count in the wait before the encore.

  • Mother Mother

by Riss on 7/5/24The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Forever grateful that I got to see them, they were phenomenal!! I almost had a guitar pick from Ryan, and that will be haunting me for the rest of my days now :,) but other than that a fantastic show and I can’t wait to see them live again ! <3

  • Great artists

    by Kimberly H. on 7/5/24The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

The bands that played were amazing! Mother Mother was great, like always! Cavetown was so full of energy and just the best. Meet Me At The Altar was good, but I probably wouldn't pay $40 for a t-shirt for them.

  • Best show of 2024!

by chadingold on 7/5/24The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

I brought my daughter to see Cavetown and had never listened to Mother Mother before. They were absolutely amazing! They had so much energy and a unique rocking sound that had the whole place jumping, I am now a loyal fan of the band, always listen to your Mother mother! #thematrix

  • Love the music

by KixFan on 7/5/24The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

The band and music were both excellent. They could have left out all the lgbtq+ stuff. It was not needed.
