About

Comprised of Ryan Guldemond (vocals, guitar), Molly Guldemond (vocals, keys), Jasmin Parkin (vocals, keys), Ali Siadat (drums) and Mike Young (bass), Mother Mother are best known for their deep connection with their fans, and for bringing stadium-sized energy to their live show, no matter the stage.  Singing about themes of alienation and enormous longing for self and societal acceptance, the band's mission is to be a home for souls that feel they don't fit in anywhere else.

Mother Mother were recently catapulted into a new stratosphere of universal success following the release of their critically acclaimed studio album INSIDE.  Their explosive follow-up to "Hayloft," "Hayloft II" connected with fans around the world and is now certified Gold in the US and approaching Platinum in their home country of Canada. A string of #1 radio hits in Canada, 6 billion global streams, and multiple Billboard chart appearances cement their newfound global success.

The quintet spent most of the last year touring the world playing to sold-out audiences in theaters to stadiums, with multiple sold-out headline tours in Europe, UK, Canada, Australia and the U.S. as well as past and upcoming festival plays at Reading + Leeds, Lollapalooza in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Berlin, Corona Capital in Mexico, Pukkelpop Belgium, Frequency Festival in Austria, Lowlands in The Netherlands and more.

  • Organization needs work

by Jojo on 7/16/24Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

The venue was amazing, but the organization on getting in wasn't good. We got there at the time doors opened and still completely missed the first band and parts of the 2nd

  • Amazing Concert

by Koty on 7/16/24Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing concert, all three bands were awesome, the venue staff were very funny and kind, the hoodie quality is awesome. The line was a little long and it sucked to be delayed but the show made up for it. 5/5

  • Amazing performance, great lighting, great music

by Zach on 7/16/24Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

This was my second Mother Mother concert, and it was even better than the first. I love the lighting, there’s so much going on but it’s not hard to see what’s going on. Obviously the songs were great, and they even sang Video Games by Lana Del Ray, which was lovely. At my first Mother Mother concert, they sang Creep by Radiohead. I love that they play a different artist’s song, and play it well for that matter. Honestly just a 10/10 concert, I would recommend it to anyone, even if they don’t listen to Mother Mother.

  • Couldn’t find parking near venue

by Kiefer on 7/16/24Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island - ChicagoRating: 1 out of 5

They had given all local parking to VIP presale and dragged us through 20min of traffic for general parking only for none to be found and the next nearest lot was sold out

  • Amazing and even better than I thought it would be

by Clairebear on 7/16/24Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill - Sterling HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

It was amazing! Mother Mother and Cavetown truly outdid themselves. It was so much better than I thought it would be- and I already had high standards going in. I love Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre so much- it’s a great venue! Staff is always friendly and willing to help with whatever you need. Drop off/Pick up was well organized.

  • Greatness!

by Danny on 7/16/24Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

They rocked hard! And had light music. I lived the male/female singer and brothers/sister dynamic! They are so positive

  • Fantastic except....

by Rick on 7/16/24Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

The concert itself was fantastic but due to weather before the concert everyone that was already checked in had to leave and take shelter l. After that there was very little/poor communication from venue staff and re entering was I bit of a headache

  • incredible artists, terrible organizing.

by Jay on 7/16/24Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

when you pay for tickets for a show, you expect to see the whole show. I understand that there were weather issues and the venue was evacuated and that upset the schedule, but the show was started before many fans were even able enter the venue, as we were kept in line for a very long time even though we had tickets and somehow the show was starting!? We ended up completely missing one of the artists we were excited to see, and half of the second opener. The parts of the show we got to see were incredible, but we were still a bit dissapointed. 3 stars because the headlining band deserved 5, but the organizers really ruined the night.

  • Venue Mismanaged

by Tea on 7/16/24Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island - ChicagoRating: 1 out of 5

The venue postponed the concert and we couldn’t even get inside until 8pm, original start was 6:30pm. We missed the show what a complete waste of time and money. Never going back to Huntington Bank Pavilion.

  • Entrance into the venue took over 2 hours!

by Lindsay on 7/16/24Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island - ChicagoRating: 1 out of 5

The concert itself was spectacular. The performance was 10/10. The venue - access to restrooms, the length of time to get in, security all seemed disorganized and chaotic. I will not be returning to a concert at this venue

  • Iconic as Always

by Bee on 7/16/24The Rooftop at Pier 17 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I don't think Mother Mother is capable of putting on a bad show, to be honest. This was my third time seeing them and they get better each time!

  • Good show, just a bad spot

by Ra on 7/16/24Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill - Sterling HeightsRating: 4 out of 5

It was a good show, I had a blast, I just had a bad spot. Still had fun

  • Ada seating not the best

by Arias cruse on 7/15/24Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill - Sterling HeightsRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was amazing, my only complaint is the ada seating clearly was not designed with wheelchair users in mind. Without any platform you are either sitting behind people standing the whole time, or sitting behind people constantly walking. Either way, you just see people’s backs and not the concert.

  • Best First Concert Experience Ever!!

by Mads on 7/15/24Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill - Sterling HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

As far as my first concert experience goes... Yeah this was AWESOME. Not only did I get to see one, but TWO (Mother Mother and Cavetown) of my favorite bands of all time-- I also got to hear how amazing they sounded in person! Dare I say this was a near-religious experience for me as someone who's never been to a concert before. Great music, great vibes, among people who are all there for the same things I am... does it get any better than that, like honestly? I'll be remembering this moment for the rest of my life :,^D wish I had the courage to go a concert sooner.

  • Beyond expectations

by Dragged along Dad on 7/15/24Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill - Sterling HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

I bought my daughter and I tickets as she told me she enjoyed a few of there songs. I came in expecting to do my duty and endure the experience for her. I was surprised from the first minute of hearing them perform. Every thing was right between the sound, lights and energy of the band. I didn’t know any of the songs before but walked away with a few new favorite songs. Will be going back when they are in town whether my daughter wants to go or not.

  • Amazing show!

by Twodavez on 7/15/24Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill - Sterling HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was amazing, sounded good and the small snip-its of some of the songs ensured their wide array of songs were represented for the fans!

  • Amazing show!!

by Miki Lee on 7/15/24Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill - Sterling HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

Big concert goer here. I love Mother Mother. It all started with a Hayloft, and I’ve been hooked since. Mother Mother in person, live, is an experience I will not forget. I have been to shows and have been disappointed, and ended up not really liking the band/group after. Not Mother Mother - they are better live than streaming. They enhance their sound, hone their craft, and grow with time. If my schedule wasn’t booked with 30 more shows this year, I would follow Mother Mother around the US and Canada.

  • absolutely incredible

by cass on 7/13/24The Rooftop at Pier 17 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

the show was incredible. from the music to the lights to the audience interactions. it was a beautiful experience and definitely one of the best concerts i’ve been to. love always <3

  • Fab event, gorgeous location!

by Spiderbaby on 7/13/24The Rooftop at Pier 17 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

An amazing location up on the roof overlooking Hudson River with Brooklyn Bridge as a backdrop at dusk. Cavetown was awesome as always, such a happy crowd and everyone smiling and full of love. Mother Mother rocked too and the whole event was really well run and hassle free. Only bug bear is that wed paud to go into the quieter area and as such got a drinks voucher. However it seems that only applied to Heineken (it was the Heineken silver zone) so had to pay $15 for a can of cider which seems a bit unfair seeing as we'd paid more to stand in the quieter zone. Other than that can't fault the show itself and have so much time for Cavetown. 🥰🥰

  • first concert experience

by lizzy on 7/13/24The Rooftop at Pier 17 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

It was a pretty chill setting where the breaks in-between the bands weren't too long or too short just enough for fans to go to the bathroom, merch booth, or get something to eat/drink. As well as some tables available for people who are eating there. some ledge though out the whole concert so people to sit which was nice for those who needed it instead of sitting on the floor which isn't bad thing, but does give the fans a choice. other than that the music was amazing and the artists were always a pleasure to hear with their positivity attitudes. Just an over loving first time concert experience.
