About

Comprised of Ryan Guldemond (vocals, guitar), Molly Guldemond (vocals, keys), Jasmin Parkin (vocals, keys), Ali Siadat (drums) and Mike Young (bass), Mother Mother are best known for their deep connection with their fans, and for bringing stadium-sized energy to their live show, no matter the stage.  Singing about themes of alienation and enormous longing for self and societal acceptance, the band's mission is to be a home for souls that feel they don't fit in anywhere else.

Mother Mother were recently catapulted into a new stratosphere of universal success following the release of their critically acclaimed studio album INSIDE.  Their explosive follow-up to "Hayloft," "Hayloft II" connected with fans around the world and is now certified Gold in the US and approaching Platinum in their home country of Canada. A string of #1 radio hits in Canada, 6 billion global streams, and multiple Billboard chart appearances cement their newfound global success.

The quintet spent most of the last year touring the world playing to sold-out audiences in theaters to stadiums, with multiple sold-out headline tours in Europe, UK, Canada, Australia and the U.S. as well as past and upcoming festival plays at Reading + Leeds, Lollapalooza in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Berlin, Corona Capital in Mexico, Pukkelpop Belgium, Frequency Festival in Austria, Lowlands in The Netherlands and more.

  • The Best

    by L. B. on 2/5/22Rating: 5 out of 5

They are so insanely good!!! I already loved their music, but the way that they performed every single song was ridiculous. Everyone had a great time, and even when they played their less known songs, no one was bored. I would definitely definitely go again if given the opportunity

  • renewed my love of a good rock show

Huge energy in that room that night. Sound was powerful. Lights were great. I will be back to see Mother Mother

  • Did see them.

We couldn’t get in to the venue. Live nation said we needed a negative test 72 hours before the concert and the venue’s rules were a negative Covid test 24 hours before . We had test 48 hours prior to the concert and we could not get in. My experience was horrible.

  • im not very religious but . . .

by molly on 2/4/22Theatre of Living Arts - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

when I say I absolutely ADORED this concert. all of the staff were super friendly and helpful at getting the crowd in the venue which was a great start! I never felt unsafe, both in regards to physical boundaries or threatening people (there were none). the merch I bought before the show was great too and I’m wearing the yellow hayloft shirt as I type this review. the opening band was one I’ve never heard of, but DYLYN got the energy up for Mother Mother and the crowd got super pumped. for context, I haven’t been to a concert since I was 8 years old (I am now 19, nearly 20). in all honesty, actually seeing Mother Mother perform and get the crowd hyped for another two hours was its own religious experience. I took so many pictures and met so many lovely people, and it seemed like everyone had the time of their lives watching Mother Mother perform (and they ROCKED their stage presence is phenomenal). to say I loved it was an understatement, definitely sad I can’t return to their october show because I’ll be studying abroad but if I could I’d buy tickets again in a heartbeat. much love to Mother Mother and everyone who made the concert possible, definitely the highlight of my year so far!!!

  • A $100 show for $30

by Tabitha on 2/4/22Theatre of Living Arts - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was insane!! The flow is perfect, if you’re a fan of Mother Mother, the will play all of the songs you want. Such great energy and insane talent. Sooooo worth it!

  • Really Good Show

by Bri on 2/4/22Theatre of Living Arts - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

The show was very good. Mother Mother is as talented in person as in recording. The lighting was well placed and the sound system was so loud you couldn't hear your thoughts. They played a good variety of songs including Verbatim, Problems, and Hayloaf I & ll, though I wish they had played Little Pistols. Overall a great show for the price. I would recommend getting there very early, as my group arrived at 6pm for an 8pm show and we got a good spot.

I had the greatest time. I felt so at home and was surrounded by so much love?? I can’t describe the feeling, but it was so amazing.. everything felt so perfect and calm for once. I hope to see them again <3

  • Amazing Energy - Loved Loved Loved

by Mark L on 2/2/22Paradise Rock Club presented by Citizens - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Mother Mother is such a cool band made up of 5 very special soles. Creative lyrics with a message... sometimes weirdly off-the-wall, sometimes emotionally deep but all with musical energy. Ryan crafts the songs with his bandmate. The harmony of Molly and Jasmine is not a cookie cutter backup duo; these ladies complement Ryan in a vocal mixture that's so unique to Mother Mother. There music is unmistakable. The acoustic set really connected with the audience. Don't miss these Canadians when they come to town.

I absolutely loved this concert. Mother mother is a great band, and their performance was excellent. The rock club itself was clean, getting in was organized, and it made for a really simple and great experience.

    by Devon on 1/28/22Saint Andrew's Hall - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

It was really fun 🤩! They kept the crowd engaged and played so many hits. They sounded amazing at St. Andrew’s Hall. Can’t wait to see them again in Detroit! Thank you Mother Mother for the amazing memory (my first official concert)😘

  • Best concert ever

    by Momonthego on 1/28/22Saint Andrew's Hall - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Fast pass, upgrade to balcony seating and the measures in place to keep everyone safe set a wonderful tone for the event. Security team was very helpful in getting us to the right line for entering. The concert was beyond expectations and one of the best we've ever been to. Only negative is that pop should be free when you pay for the upgrade... $50 more per person and you still get charged $7 for unlimited soda seems a bit nickel and dime.

  • Missed Show Covid Testing too hard

by Missed Show Covid Testing too hard on 1/28/22Saint Andrew's Hall - DetroitRating: 1 out of 5

My wife and I are fully vaccinated and wanted to take our daughter who is not vaccinated. We had a home test but it appeared that this test had to have written proof by a doctor. Oh well. Her first concert will be Tool instead!

  • Amazing show!

    by Tami on 1/28/22Saint Andrew's Hall - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was awesome! Mother mother and Dylyn were amazing! The venue was very intimate. However, the 2 hours wait after doors opened to get people inside was ridiculous. It was freezing and the process was unnecessarily slow.

  • So little space so much time

by Lou on 1/20/22Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 2 out of 5

The covid protocols were a joke at this venue with people running around without masks and sitting far to close than any event at this rate it would be better just to allow dancing since in the side wings it happened there anyways. The drink cue was to long and u lose your seat at a moments notice if u need to leave it overal this venue sucks as a sit down center.mother mother was great but waiting 2hours for them to come on stage in a maxed out capacity space didn’t make it as fun as it should of been

  • 10/10

Fantastic venue and amazing bands! I had a wonderful night and the vibe was exquisite 👌🏼

  • Unforgettable

by Emil on 1/12/22The Echo Lounge & Music Hall - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

I'd been looking forward to this concert since tickets were first released, and this was everything I wanted and more. The venue was so nice, very intimate and had a great atmosphere. All the staff was super professional and polite. There was a bit of a mix up with my seats, but the situation got solved quickly and I still ended up in a good spot! Their opener, DYLYN, was incredible and just found herself with one new fan. She was so sweet and incredibly talented. And Mother Mother, of course, sounded so much better in person!! It was a religious experience, truly. I was so happy to be able to be their for their first show in Dallas. So talented, such incredible people. From the people in the audience to the setting to the bands themselves, this felt like the safest place I've ever been in. I've never been so at home. Would absolutely go again in a heatbeat!!!!

Always perfect. Kids first rock show, they said “so much better than they can even believe”. They’re hooked for life. Thanks again!
