Monster Spectacular on Tour

Trucks crushing cars. Bikers doing insane stunts. ATVs drifting at high speeds around dusty, perilous turns. Accidents. Incredible feats. Explosions. Carnage. Just another day at the races for the Monster Spectacular, one of Canada's premier auto-sporting events. In other words, it's the ultimate sports and entertainment spectacle.

For more than 30 years, Monster Spectacular has been bringing its annual tour across Canada, to cities like Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa, Regina, and Saint-John. The event features monster trucks, freestyle motocross, BMX, ATV racing, and more. It is one of the biggest monster truck circuits in North America, and you never know what you're going to get. Well, that's not entirely true — you know you'll be witnessing some of the most remarkable showmanship this side of the Atlantic. Prepare your mind and body for the deafening roar of Monster Spectacular.

Each city has different events, which is why it pays to get to as many as you can. The Montreal event will see 14 monster trucks, including Axe, Avenger, Rage, Brutus, and War Wizard, while Quebec will feature the 1,500 horsepower behemoth and 2016 champ Bounty Hunter, Red Baron (the 2015 World Champion), and more. Ottawa, on the other hand, will see Overkill Evolution and Black Stallion. With so many cars and personalities, the drama is sure to be off the charts.

You'll get to see events like Quad Wars, which showcases incredible four-wheeled masters who rocket at high speeds in high-stakes competition with one another. Or maybe you'll catch Pro Speed's Extreme Riders, where no-handed wheelies, front-wheel stands, and chainsaw zeroes are never out of the question. The motocross events are world-class speed bike stunt shows that feature modified ATV races and BMX bikers who race as they live — on the edge and afraid of nothing.

Monster Spectacular is fun for the whole family. Events for summer 2019 are currently on sale.

    Slow with bits of excitement

by David K on 10/3/23Stade olympique - Montreal

I expected more since my last Monster Truck show which was probably about 30 years ago when I was 12. Also seeing shows on Youtube from the States, it seemed like I should've been a lot more excited but was rather disappointed. I would've prefered 2 hours of Monster Trucks and motorcross jumps than 3 hours of filler, such as atv races and crash derby which was the biggest joke, basically cars just going forward and backwards into each other in the middle of the pit until they started smoking as if they were trIng to keep all the scrap in the center so it would be easier to clean up. At least have them going around chasing each other!! My kids were excited but we'll see if they take their kids in 30 years...

    no parking

by Phil on 10/3/23Stade olympique - Montreal

waste of money, and 2 very disappointed kids. got there 1 hour early. waited in line for almost 1 hour to park in the olympic stadium only to find out you had to reserve to park in the olympic stadium. drove around the stadium, stuck in traffic the entire time, looked at every possible place to park. nothing. At 8:45 decided to drive home with 2 very upset kids. I cannot understand how the venue, the city and the organizers could of not planned the parking and traffic situation better. Next time, if there is a next time, it will be in a different city.

    Deficient sound

by Valerie on 10/3/23Stade olympique - Montreal

The show was really cool but a little bit long with the animation. The sound was very very bad in the stadium. Then, we don't understand what the man says when he comments. It was just agressive for my ears.

    Boring!

by Boring! on 10/3/23Stade olympique - Montreal

Sorry but me and my 7yo son were bored and left early. Lots of transition between competitions. The was a narrator but no DJ to pump it up like NBA games. Free style was last. Nothing new.

    A bit of a bummer

by Svdekend on 10/3/23Stade olympique - Montreal

We were invited from 4pm on to visit the pit and meet the pilots. It was nice to see the trucks up close and see how big they really are. We arrived at around 4:45pm, visited the pit and got some extremely overpriced food and drinks. By 6pm we were in our seats. We waited an hour for the show to start. We soon noticed that there were a lot of pauses and breaks during the show. By 10pm, they were still intermittently bringing in cars to do a few tricks (very often the same thing over and over). By then, we had really had enough and we went home. It was a bit disappointing that there were so many dead moments. The show would.be way more exciting if it were more dense - a faster pace between the performances and waaaaay less wait time.

Lacking action, waiting periods, bad sound

by NPri on 10/3/23Stade olympique - Montreal

Pretty disappointed. I was expecting more from this event. It seemed half the drivers just wanted to do their lap and be done with it. Major lack of destruction. It seemed like there was more broken Monster truck than there were smashed cars on the course. Quite sad. Luckily a few did go all out and that was fun to watch. Just not enough to make up for it. And the sound from the mic was TERRIBLE. Couldn’t make out more than 1 word per sentence. Although that might be the venue.

    Nice show

by Lili on 6/7/23Centre Videotron - Québec

Great show! The Centre Videotron is a little bit small for the trucks and they were sliding on the concrete but it was very fun to watch. Parking is easy and we didn't wait long for food or washrooms.

Fun but hockey arena's TOO SMALL

by JonG on 5/31/23Leon's Centre - Kingston

Small arena. If it was held outdoors or at a different venue it would be a lot better. They could only have 4 trucks. Not a whole lot of extra room to do anything cool they try. They can only do so much in such a small space so for the money I wouldn't go again if it's held in a hockey arena! They also ran a deal for $5 pit passes but you could only buy with new tickets and they were 2-3 times more expensive than what we paid for. If they want money then let previous purchases be aloud to get the pit passes for the same price

    Monster trucks!!

    by D. O. on 5/31/23Leon's Centre - Kingston

It was alright. This is the second time watching this event. The monster trucks were a very small parts of the show. They spent more time parking and adjusting the trucks before and after each run. The Kingston Leons Center is way to small of a venue to suit the size of the "expected" performance. The BMX bikes, lawn tractor race and the motor bike jump seemed to be the majority of the show. Poor choice of location.

    Room for improvement

by fishgoddess on 5/31/23Leon's Centre - Kingston

The venue used was too small, so the trucks couldn’t really get height (score board was too low), and they mainly jumped completely over the cars. There was also a lot less of the trucks and more filler with bmx bicyles and lawnmower racing. Definitely not what I would have paid that kind of money to see. We had pit passes so were able to speak to the truck drivers after and they were all very personable and friendly.

    Loud and Fun

by Robinson on 5/31/23Leon's Centre - Kingston

I only didn’t give this 5 stars as you could not hear a single word the commentator was saying which is half the show. Some parts were slower moving but for the most part it was exciting and kept the kids attention. Ages 7 and 11.

    Underwhelming

by Sochi_65 on 5/30/23Canadian Tire Centre - Kanata

Perhaps it was the relatively small venue the trucks had to work with but even the most animated of announcers couldn’t make this event exciting. My two grandsons lost interest in record time and wanted to leave halfway thru. ( and they love monster trucks )

    Overrated show

by Disappointed3yearold on 5/30/23Canadian Tire Centre - Kanata

The venue is too small to accommodate a monster truck show. The trucks don't have the room to provide a good show. They should also get rid of Monster Spectacular and bring Monster Jam instead. My 3 year old was really disappointed that his favorite trucks (Grave Digger, Zombie, El Toro Loco) were not there.
