About

Moneybagg Yo is the Memphis rap hitmaker who topped the Billboard 200 with 2021’s A Gangsta’s Pain, which featured a star-studded cast that included Future, Polo G, Kaash Paige, BIG30, Lil Durk, Jhené Aiko and Pharrell Williams, among others. Born DeMario DeWayne White Jr. in South Memphis, Tennessee, Moneybagg Yo’s rise to fame began in 2012 with a string of attention-grabbing mixtapes. The Yo Gotti-mentored emcee broke out in 2017 with his 12th mixtape, Federal 3X, which charted in the Top 5 on the Billboard 200. Moneybagg Yo continued to carry the torch for Memphis rap on Billboard 200-charting albums like 2019’s 43VA HEARTLESS and 2023’s Hard to Love, the latter of which Rolling Stone described as a polished and soulful collection of “earworm-producing hits.”

So much fun & he performed a majority of his songs, some of the more popular ones he should have performed longer

    Didn’t even go

by Anonymous on 10/24/17Echostage - Washington

Meek Mill was supposed to be there. Then a day before I get word that he wasn’t. No one reached out via email to inform of this change. They just took his name off the headline. How unprofessional is that ? And then I tried to call the place to confirm this multiple times. No one EVER answered.

Moneybagg didn’t perform until 1:30am, no announcement of him being late. The music prior to his performance was AWFUL!

This show was suppose to be great...

by SoutheastPo on 10/24/17Echostage - Washington

The show had Meek Mill headlining and Moneybagg opening for him all the way until the day before. Social media knew before Ticketmaster was going to tell us. So the show was ultimately underwhelming because Meek AND Moneybagg was what I wanted to see, not just Moneybagg. Setlist was fire, but the show didn't pack the punch it needed. Of course with this being echostage Moneybagg didn't come out until 1:30am and gave about 30minutes of performance. He interacted with the crowd up front which was cool I guess. But the opening acts sucked so bad. Maybe if they had better acts, the concert at a whole would have been better and not strictly relying on Moneybagg. Wasn't the best echostage show, and I'm looking forward to my partial refund for Meek not showing up.
